(2009/05) May 2009 MTBs

Audrey and Lily, my tummy tighten too. I asked my gynae, he says that it is normal as it is BH contractions. But I told him mine can be hard for 1hr (actually I never timed, just that I want to emphasis that it can last very long). He says that it is not very usual, but it is ok as my baby is still doing well.

Audrey I am meeting her after my class ard 12++.

Anyone hv any idea how much is a packet of 82pcs pigeon wet wipes?

baby may,
which hospital r u delivering at?
kkh delivery suite gown is tied at the back type, only wear in delivery suite.
ward gown is another type, wear over the neck one. got openings for breastfeeding.

Audrey, is it the whole day or sometimes hard sometimes soft? Maybe you did not notice when it is soft? Cause when it is hard I can't feel my baby's movement when it is hard. You mean you can't feel your baby's movement for the whole day? Did you feel your baby move today?

SK,
at NTUC Amk hub that time I saw they sell at $9.80/pack. Btw she not email me yet n will let u know when she email already. Tm will do the trnfr for u

water proof:
Spotlight do have plastic bedsheet for mattress.. comes in diff size from single to king size.

We have been using this since training #1 for night toilet training.. then place mattress protector on top before the final bedsheet. This way, we will not feel the plastic or any uncomfy when lying on it!

Not sure if they have for bb cot size mattress!

hi baby may
the middle to lower tummy very hard.. the area just below the breasts soft soft can poke. can feel her move.. very hard she kick.. makes it more uncomfortable cos the tummy is so hard. until now. whole day i trying to poke to see if soften. never yet.

Juju, I am delivering at TMC, same as my colleague. I just bring the pajamas loh. If the hospital gown is good enough, then I will use the hospital gown. If not, at least got backup mah.

Ling,

BH doesn't come with pain. It is just the tightening and relaxing of the tummy. I have it and when checked with my gynae, she explained.

audrey,
maybe ur baby down already ... cos my mum say if baby already down u can feel on top just below the breast will become soft. N must be careful baby ready to see mummy

baby may,
i see... good to have back up.
i hear some say, better to wear pants or leggings when goin home. cos maternity pad may be too heavy...

Audrey, as long as you can feel baby's movement, should be ok. But if you can't feel baby's movement, you have to let your gynae know. When my tummy harden, it is the whole tummy. Maybe you can try to drink more water, change your position and see whether it soften.

Juju, maternity pad too heavy for the disposable underwear? Then maybe I pack one more legging just in case. I thought dress is more comfortable. Wow, my hospital bag is filled with more and more things.

Juju, I think I will still bring the dress, but bring 1 more leggings just in case. Maybe wear the leggings with the dress if really no choice.

yes.. through e-bay.. I am considering the other item from the same seller..

this is not mattress, but a sheet that will protect dirtying ur bb mattress..

Baby May - thanks - i will bring 1 set just in case. But I am having a hard time finding nice ones with button in front, any suggestions anyone?

Audrey, i heard open front PJs are good for BF, if wear night gowns, hard to lift up leh.

Flommy - cool - I am new to mac thou, so still learning and appreciating... you?

tinkles
no la wear dress to go home not to stay at hospital.. yeah my friend said button pjs better.

i've been using mac for a year.. and i love it!

joyce,
i only packed 1 nursing top and one pair of maternity shorts. scared hot.

i never bring dress cos i dont wear it often..

Re: Delivering at TMC

Please bring along your own night gown/clothes for wear after delivery. The ones that TMC provides are the "Open at the back" type which are meant for delivery purposes only. If you want to walk around the hospital after delivery, you will feel "airy" at the back since it is the "string type"...dunno how to describe...

Oops sorry sorry... I thot u mean dress for PJ :p

Anyway I may check out Robinson or JL for the PJs... if I can make it out tmr. Feeling a little under the weather.

Ok mummies, i am going to hit the sack now. See you all tmr!

Take care! Nitey!

Hi baby May,

I wan to change my current gynae cos i feel that he seem bo chap..everything also ok and didnt explain or give me any advice.
His consulation is always very rushing n short cos he got alot of patients.
he wont say anything unless u ask him..
last mon,i fell down in the toilet..
my mil call him n request to go down to his clinic for a check-up..
he keep saying he got alot patients, need to wait, dun need to come down, fall down nothing one..dun worry..
he didnt even ask how i fall and if we worry can go down for check up.
I had already signed the package and now is too late to change..wont go to him for my next one..
hopefully my delivery will be smoothly..hai..

Tinkles - I work for "Mac" haha...i think the iphoto software is really cool, i made an iphoto book to commemorate my gal's first birthday, u can design it yourself and include your own text..i did it with my gal's infant pics till shes one yr old..maybe you shd do 1 starting from the ultrasound pics..or even from the time u pak tor with your hubby..hehe..

Jasmine - Guess it's too late for you to do anything now..I fell off my chair before too..hehe..clumsy me, gynae says as long as baby is still moving, it should be alright, but he did give me a day's MC to rest. I empathise with you as I was just as anxious about the well being of the little one.

Hi,

I am at 35 weeks.
My gynae is Dr Lawrence Ang.
Some of my frens went to him also, they say used to his style and they are comfortable with it. Maybe his style dun suit me,since this is my first pregnancy,i prefer a more detail doctor that can give me more advise.
After my fall down incident,i lose confident in him but some of my frens say dun worry,he is very experience. Really hope everything will be smoothly..

hi jasmine, heard abt this gynae...some of my frens also seeing him. usually my gynae will ask if bb is moving ? then feel any pain can see him in clinic no need make appt...did u try gg down his clinic to see him ?
