I was thinking of sending at 3yrs. oh mayb enrol her in those weekend 'class' so juz treat it like bringing her to 'play' there once weekly kind of thing..if suay suay get sick, then sure kanna NAG one..then i ll grow to HAte her! haha

I did that to my gal, but dont wait till 3yrs old. Start when she is 2yrs old. Coz if start too late they will be too attach to U. Now my gal 3 yrs old she can attend her enrichment class alone by herself. We started her with those parent and toddle class which 1 parent can attend the class with them, just recently I switch her to non parent accompany class 1 st lesson I sit in with her than 2nd lesson onwards I just let her in and go off. I have been telling her teacher will not let me in for tis new class.
 
Both of U bao zhong, hope both of your wish come through. 2 kids already like nightmare to me, maybe Im too old le, soooo tired... no energy for both. BOTH OF U STILL YOUNG STILL CAN TRY FOR #3. Now Ethan also want attention when his jie jie stick to us, he also want to be carry by us.

Any mummy can recommend any package tat is good and not so Exp? tot of bring BB for photoshots but some like few pieces only cost $xxx..if taken with parents, ll it cost extra?

What are the criterias for the selection of pre nursery?

I wanted to send my ger to kampong kind without air con and preferably christian base. I m staying in katong. I am a converted christian and hubby family is not and i want to indirectly let my ger knows abt God.

pigpig, i also think gal is better, not only can doll them up but they will stick to us more..heheh..at least she will accompany us shopping in the future...im sure boy when grown up feel shy to shop with mummy de..

abt the photoshot, i've 2 frens which is photographer for weddings and other event. u wan to take the photo in house or like those in the photo shop with nice background? the photographer can go ur house to take the photos or anywhere with nice scenery to take photos..let me ask them 1st and come back to u!

Jo, bb brain will works/brain develop well when they sleep. they suggest best time will be between 10pm-2am. so let your bb sleep early lah.
For me, OV kit works well & more accurate.

Lenny, how much you pay for JG ? is it 2hrs daily ?

I only register my bb to Moral Development Childcare Centre.
 
jo's mummy, too senior persons may find the job too trivial cos it's really admin tasks... And it's not going to lead to a permanent position, it's just to help out a dept during the peak season..
 
Lenny, my bb wear M size. currently still wearing those normal drypers. not yet try him on pull up pants..bcos scared he pangsai then very difficult to clean him especially when outside.

reverie:: sighs, yes ah, we so heartache throw money away each month but my son truly ENJOYS it over there. I can see how he has changed after attending school. the teachers are all very nice and all love him so much! I've done comparisons with carpe diem, cherie hearts but really, they cannot compare with eton. And after much thought and hesitation, hubby and I decided to go ahead. HAHA. We also wanted Pat's schoolhouse but that's even more expensive. Other good ones are like mindchamps and odyssey and they're really PRICEY! so we decided on eton loh. its true cater for angmos, my boy's class almost half is angmo, but there're singaporeans too. quite a fair mix. BUT the most important is the teacher to student ratio is 1:4.

Byeee mommies, heading off to HK tomorrow!! hehe so excitingggg!! wonder how will the 2 kids behave on the plane tmr. grrrr.

reverie... if u wan st james, harding road is full beyond full. the wait list for 1st session is long beyond long. you can try wait list for 2nd session if you want to. if not you can go for the new site at leedon. it is a little smaller (it is actually the church compound) and no pool. other than that, they got everything harding has (according to sch admin ya). leedon has 2-3 places for 1st session (nt sure abt 2nd session).
 
reverie:: i like their curriculum, like their teachers, their school environment as well as the teacher-student ratio. HAHAH!!

for those not on my fb

travelling w infants. Pls have the following in your HAND CARRY, infant paracetamol and if possible nurofen (for fever above 39C) + cough/cold med + a bottle of water/fluid that bb likes + forehead fever cool stripes. Syringes for feeding meds. In flight conditions are v dehydrating so you must rem to feed bb with some fluid (or latch).

also, most of us like to dress bb in sleepsuits in flight for convenience. do rem to bring along an extra pair of light clothing in case bb develops high fever mid flight and need to be changed out into something lighter. I also bring along a thermometer in my hand carry. I shudder to think what could have happened if I didn't have the above during the traumatising flight back.

xperienced moms know this but not first time moms like me. If your bb is having fever, do not be lulled into a false sense of security if your poor cranky bb finally falls asleep in flight. becos the fever tends to spike up v suddenly during periods of inactivity e.g sleep. keep monitoring.

i am told that the teachers and the pple at st james are stuck up. when i called a week back to enquire, the staff who picked up sounded stuck up too. Seems like justify what i heard... I was told that the facilities a bit different. MIght drop the idea at st james and look for else where...

i went to visit the centre that im applying for... the teachers are friendly.. the principal too... all nice ppl... the environment is clean.. the place is big!! it's 2 semi-Ds converted to 1 huge house. Not bad... plus she went thru with me the progress report system they are using... Not bad... also saw the timetable... more or less suits Kirsten...

i chose JG as compared to the few that i went.. as i am taking care of Bree now and had no plans leaving her in childcare yet. i went out searching for play session that she can attend twice a week for her to get expose to classroom environment, play, learn and socialise.

i find the teachers at JG warm and friendly.. not only during classes but out of classroom. some places that i went.. after class.. u can sense that the teachers just switched off.. pretty much like putting a false front in class.

some.. are just sessions for Moms to network. i attended one where all are caucasian.. Bree is the only asian baby.. i do sense a tinge of discrimination.. i do not want my baby to feel it as young as she is right now. It would be ideal for her to have playmates from different nationalities / countries to expose her to different cultures..

I attended a 20 mins preview of an on-going class.. and i quite like it.. the session is interactive.. a two way.. instead of the teacher just throwing out information to the kids.

Jg is offering holiday session.. i was keen intially but decided to drop as its a daily session, 5 days a week..

i don't want to stress Bree at this stage.. she will have to go to school 5 days a week when she is older...

choose one that you are comfortable with and go with it ya?

i do agree with you.. we do get better service at times when we speak with an accents..

that's reality here in Sg and it suck big time!

Long time never post, been a silent reader for quite a while.. I have been really busy these days, at work and at home. Especially after hb came back. I can no longer cook simple 1 soup and rice meal for myself but got to cook 1 soup, 1 veg and 1 egg/meat for 2 of us. Plus got more laundry to do.. sian..

Have never post pics of bb C before.. here's a recent picture of her in her usual happy smiley mood..

I have 29 of 2 Fl oz nursette bottles of Enfalac A+ (those ready to use that we got from hospital), expiring in 1 Feb 10 to give away. Am still bfing, dont want to waste it since the ready to use version cannot be purchased.
