sorry quick question cos head spinning again.
Don't want to create unnecessary alarm but I started having a terrible sore throat last evening, some time after our dim sum gathering and was soon down with flu - runny nose, tiredness, sore throats etc. No fever. In fact, have resorted to wearing a face mask at home since middle of last night. Hopefully a miracle can happen to prevent my girl from getting it too.
My question is, what flu medication can we take that is BFing safe? I was told Piriton but I see conflicting reports online leh.
Anyone knows?

I finally get used being alone with baby (for 2.5months I got nanny to help me, 1st day was really hard). caleb is now 3 months old...so fast right..at 2,5 mths he can support his own neck very strong and can sit on my lap too..(now he only wants this sitting position whenever he's awake! so heavy carrying him, got backache already haha).
anyway, mummies...some friends say that 4th mth can already give cereals to babies...but i read somewhere that it is advisable to give solid only when baby turns 6mth..how about you all? if u plan to give solid at 4th mth..may i know what kind of cereal..how much you will give and when (before/after milk), how many times a day?

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling vexed at the moment. BIG BIG HUG to you. It must be tough for you to take care of Elixir alone. Plus a travelling husband makes things even harder. I also find that after bb is born, my relationship with my husband is not as close as before. Now everything seems so functional, and everything we do or say is baby-centric. Don't worry about ranting it here, we are all here to support one another
I am all up for cashless gatherings
Maybe we can have gatherings where we each bring a toy and let all the bbs play and share!

Woww.....so envy your got the time. Actually i am also interested in DIY but i got no creativity and patient. Sometimes i wish to do some sewing etc also got no idea. Maybe if i got the chance to be SAHM, than will be same as you all do all kinds of things. Luckily mine are both boys lesser thing to do for them, if not waste alot of money.

think i said to another mummy before that all antihistamines will come out in breast milk somehow or other. Most of the common ones are generally safe, but piriton is the one licensed as medication in infants, so that might be the one to go for if u really buay tahan with the sneezing/hacking.

Frozen BM can be stored for 2 - 3 mths in a 2 door freezer. but if you store it in a deep freezer of less than -20 Deg Cel, u can store it for 6 mths..
do check the smell and taste of ur Frozen BM after you thaw it before u give it to bb Ugin to play safe
