WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa lennyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy so tempting!!! i miss itt!!! i used to buy it when iwas working at NUH... lol. and i wld ask them to spread on both sides.... so sinful but yummiliciousssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!
 
hmmm i was jus wondering if any one is keen on having 6mth bash for the babies. jan thread had one recently. i tink its a good idea. they invited someone frm nestle to conduct a talk on weaning. feeding solids if im nt wrong. wld be good bah. heh heh. also good time to catch up and see hw much babies have developed and grown. =) jus an idea. wld need quite a bit of coordinating. venue wld have to be somewhere big as well. to accomodate at least 30mummies n babies. hubbies wld also be welcomed. =) if nt keen we cn always wait til 1yr ba. HAHAHA!

Totally agree re: keeping the flame alive with hb. Yeah as first time mums definitely cannot help but become slightly ocd with bb, that's why it's so important to maintain some perspective and keep everything in balance, otherwise it is way too easy to go cuckoo in the head without us realising it - not everything in life revolves around bb after all. There is life outside the front door, and a lifelong partner under the same roof. Make the effort not cos of fear of straying, but because he's our other half, whether or not he has a strong paternal instinct

babycubes is like you make vege stock or chick stock and freeze it so each time u cook porridge then can use that lo.

sunshine:: yea! she want to get up all the time, put her lie down, her head wanna geng up. so aiya just put her in the seat and she can be satisfied and we don't carry till arms ache. ahaha. i got from kiddypalace. mine is the princelionheart bebepod, another type is the bumbo seat but i got the bebepod cause of the toy haha!

hahhaa.. i think u gals r not alone, i m oso like tat, hubby did complained to me tat i doesnt seem to love him tat much liao..hmmm.. think like wat some mention as a first time mom, our attention goes all out to our kid but i do agree tat ultimately they will grow up n have their own life.. our soul companion is our hubby, so i think i gotta made some effort on this liao.. :p

usually i pump for 20 to 30mins in office ... so can see how many posts i could read n using my hp somemore cos they cancelled my internet access as i didnt log in for 90 days (some silly IT security rule)so whenever i miss you all i log in using my hp hahahahaha

Joke 1 - this morning at 8.10am

YC wanted to eat the chocolate chip bread for breakfast when the daddy actually bought a pork floss one for him. So I say never mind let him eat the chocolate chip one.

While YC was eating, he shouted: "Papa, I like the chocolate chip bread, its very nice you know"

(Papa was in the toilet so never reply)

Me: Ok, good that you like it. Go sit down on the sofa and eat, dun walk around.

YC: Are you Papa?

Me: No, I am mummy. Why?

YC: Why you answer me? I am talking to Papa you know

Joke 2 - 8.45pm

YC was looking at my cooler bag and ice brick. Then he asked: "Mummy where is didi's milk?"

Me: In the fridge

YC quickly run to the fridge, open and see. Then he came out anxiously and say: "Mummy, why you keep the milk in the fridge? You cannot keep the milk there."

Me: Why can't I keep the milk there?

YC: Because the milk will be cold. Didi cannot drink cold milk, he will cough you know

hahahahaha i am always v amazed at the stuff that comes out from him =p

haiz.. his reflux still bad and now caught a flu from his grandma(my mil).. poor thing.. running nose n coughing with phelgm for more than a week liao.. luckily no fever.. hope he recover soon coz when hear him coughing or breathing with mucus inside his nose when he cant even sneeze out made me heartache wo.. he's on medication liao..

hope you can hv a good discussion with your hb n works out what's best for you 2 and your bb. if poss, oso feels it's better to follow him coz it's very tough on man alone too. somehow feels that man falls to temptation more easily so must prevent tat if can.
 
re: time w hubby

frankly i fell into that 'trap' when i had my #1 and day in day out it was baby, work, baby, sleep etc and the wake up call for me was this time when i found out that my hubby went back to pick up smoking again

i was so angry that i had a huge fight with him - no offence to smokers but smoking is a NO NO NO to me

but when i cool down and asked myself ... what caused him to go back to smoke and how come it took me so long to find out (cos he confessed that it was like the 3rd pack or something) when he is zzzzing next to me everynight (ok not exactly next cos then my #1 was already between us)

thats when i realise tat i have neglected him BIG TIME ... so times and times i remind myself that HE is the one who will grow old with me ... even though our baby are v close to us now .. we really cant tell what will happen next time right

oh oh must take good care of yourself too then can be strong for our bbs. sometimes i too din eat lunch/dinner coz too busy fussy over my little boy. hb dun like it, always tell me the above, so does my mum. striving to be strong as they said and take care of ourselves so that we can be strong coz long way to go with out little darlings. and we must be there for them

there's a max no. of new payee for dbs internet banking. you hv got to delete some of the existing payees to add new ones if the no. is hit. not sure if this is the case for you. usually i'll delete and then can add new payees.

i scare i not enuff BM for tristan . coz everytime (twice a week) i pump the results isnt that good. sometimes 40ml,60ml or good days 120ml. so juz take fenugreek hope it will helps.

re: blocked ducts
there is this Lecithin can be taken orally to counter with blocked ducts. but not sure is it effective or not. maybe some of u might want take note..here is the link :

any babies on BM having thick poo ? tristan have been passing out rather thick kind of poo poo for the past 3 days. donno if this is normal or not. but for color wise is still yellowish..

maybe u can check if your hubby can come back every 2-3 mths if you cannot follow along with him? Do take it easy, I hadsome problemswhen I had my first one...worried abt finances, time and etc.... had many an arguement just asking hubby to take time off to spend time with the family. He do not have official off days and very seldom, do my boy and me have an complete day with him without wking.... all b'se his dad's expectation on him.... :<i>

Queenie, I have Baby Einstein and my baby loves it. She will stare into space and listen to the music. If the TV is on, she will stare at it too but I don't like her having the habit of being a couch potato so I sometimes switch the screen off.

missycandy, I am on for the 6 month celebration too, provided H1N1 has died down by then.

annmelody, where is this dim sum? Was going to suggest Raffles Hotel's chinese restaurant. Can't remember the name now for some reason (which is bad because I worked with them on a project!). It's really excellent dim sum. If ordering the normal dishes, it should be $20-25 a person.
 
Ways to get the fire back in our relationship

As long as we noe tat our hb shld b our priority in view of LT, it shld work out...children probably take up say 15-20 years of our lives? Indeed, we hav more free time so called if we r able to train our kids to b financially n emotionally fit...tying them w apron strings a no no idea...i not for mommy's boy or papa's gal syndrome...both hb n i agree tat itz impt to develop kids tat r indep n creative problem solvers...e world tat they face in future will b even more challenging as itz globalised...

Speaking of relationship w hb, i tink besides making e effort to pat tor w hb...i believe another element to keep e flame going is how well we respect n consider his thots n opinions...even though most of us r highly educated or capable in our career...we make a wiser choice in deciding who makes certain decisions...somehow i believe in a balance of power bet hb n wife...For us wives, itz e power of submission...This S word does not mean we woman r pushovers..it means tat we hav e desire to let our hbs lead as we trust their judgment n leadership...for guys, they probably wan our devotion n respect...so we muz b mindful in doing things tat align w this need...

time with hubby:
I'm very guilty of that. Time revolving with kids now, rather than him. Even topics when we talk also revolving with kids.
No intimate time also, cos #2 and sometimes #1 is sleeping with us. Somemore now came back to work le, more tiring.
Somehow, I feel that my kids are very much more important than him.
Maybe I'm too independent le... also feel that I can do without him but I can't do without my kids...

bb poo:
after not pooing for 6 days, yesterday he poo-ed...
my mom say the color is yellow/orange and the poo is quite sticky... but it's soft la, so not constipation. phew... i din know breastfeeding baby will not poo everyday.
Now everyday I will massage for him, hopefully he will poo everyday or alternate days
 


Pink, i remember what u told me about the fortune teller at Rajah Inn and i'm so glad he is SO wrong lor...i mean gesh! Anyway, put that episode behind and try to work out what's best in front of you now.

I agree w Tusky, sometimes hubbies want us to "Submit", but i think being a smart woman, we cannot "blindly" submit, must push the limit and have "safety" for ourselves, be it financially and emotionally. Else 10-20 years down the road and he strays/something happens, we are left feeling poor and betrayed....then very hard to pick up the pieces...

I have the "Your baby can read" DVD but haven't played it yet, worried it will affect his eyes...hmm...think will try this weekend...

I agree w Seabreeze, relationship w hubby should come first. Our babies will leave us one day...
