Re: Starting solid
Seem a lot of babies turn 4 mths already. Wah... and starting solid so fast? Even stand by brown rice liao... kekekeke...
I will only start at the mark of 5.5 mth to 6 mths onward. Think PD also recommend to start 6 mths onward...

Re: Doidy cup
Missy, I would like to get one. Thanks...

pink demoness,

u n hb married for long? noe itz natural to hav those thots in ur mind when hb gonna outstation for a year...if i were u, i probably consider following him...unless he shows signs of neglect...moreover, tink he will miss u n bb so if possible, see if this option can b explored...
happy.gif

all hugs n more hugs for u...tink positive ya...i oso a bit temperamental when i had my boi, so he oso kinda fussy n cranky @ times too...don take it on urself when elixir is playful...they r very young so dunno tat their behaviour affect e caregivers...
happy.gif

alfafa, ur bb is so blessed to hav u as her mommy...i can only buy educational toys for him lor...
happy.gif

all e momz here, child rearing is never easy...nv tink u r doing a lousy job...like marriage, there is no written manual on how to work...taz why we blessed w intuition to work our way out...

irene,
etsy, ebay, both are equally bad for me. They should feature power BUYers in addition to power sellers. I confirm get nominated one.

sassy,
am thinking of starting at 5mths or slightly later if bb is still ok w milk alone. partly because this mommy here spends all her time shopping online and didn't read up on semi solids etc. hehehe more importantly, gracie has a very sensitive stomach so we prefer to play safe.

btw,
thanks mommies for your compliments on gracie n her sophie. actually she wasn't smiling leh. it's her I'm-going-to-cry look. she got quite annoyed as she was unable to put sophie's head into her mouth properly. hehe

pinkdemoness,
it's tricky actually. i agree that it's not good for husband n wife to be separated for so long, esp not in a place like china. btw which part of china? however, if you are the type who is v shy, and who generally find it hard to mk new friends then it is likely to be very very boring and challenging for you to follow him there.

you guys realy need to sit down for a good heart to heart talk.

sassy - which colour?

yeh. have hit 11 orders le. i need u all to confirm colours. and transfer funds. pls do so by tonight so i cn place order asap. thanks!

kris - wednesday i cnt leh. becos wednesday im starting full time plus i will be on call 24hrs.. so hard to meet up leh... i guess pass to vernice wld be the best option? thanks!

queenie,
piak piak him leh. how can he do that! it was made w so much love wor! can always add embellishments to enhance the look what.

what is MS? muhammed sultan area? wow so happening ah

hmmm btw i love the chocs at canela at the nearby robertson walk.

sung babe,
so sorry to hear of your distress. glad that things are sorted out now. if ever you are bored just ask anyone of us to come out ok? think there are quite a few sahms here.

if my bb hair accessories turn out decent maybe i should organise a hands on mommies workshop. you can all bring your bbs to my place to learn how to diy ribbons, bows hairbands etc.

brown rice is the 1st i think. cn buy otc frm ntuc or cold storage? buy brands like Healthy times or heinz or nestle. =) they have instructions. to mix with some milk and feed i think only 1 teaspoon? its up to u. becos PD recommends at least 6mths so that the gut is better for absorption n stuff. u will also need the little spoon to feed her. but is lil grace ready? there r signs to show readiness for solids. lemme search

st,
6 months is my target for now. after that it is one day at a time. :p

starflower,
how are you holding up? got the momentum back yet? hope all is well. will miss you babe

Queenie, Alfafa, Haha. I am so glad to have a bb girl this time round. I actually have bought loads of accessories for her head, clips, headbands until hubby rant at me each time he sees the pile of clips. So I must hide it away but he will notice when I put it on Trishelle and its a different one from what he last saw. Haha so I thought since her head will grow bigger, why don't buy my own n diy Haha. Then can made to measure each time she grows. Hoho. N I only need to buy clippies to attach to the headbands Haha! But Alfafa is the one poisoning me gosh. I don't dare count how much I have spent.. hope they won't be wasted Haha! N I still have interest when they come!

Pinkdemoness, hugs to u n elixir. I also think better to go with hb neh. I know how it is with kids. No time on your own. So boring, I am also like a yellow faced woman. Last night hubby dumped me with the kids n went watch movie his favorite transformers movie with his brother n wife. Wth. I was so pissed I felt like torching his boxes of toys all over the place. But sigh, what to do, he is a fan, huge fan of tf, a tf addict such that he must pay tribute to the toy shop each month.. N my kids need me at night and I can't just dump them like that. Oh how long haven't I watched a movie. Haha.... Why am I ranting this here man...

And Alfafa, irene, ebay, Etsy are poison! I regretted having paypal.

i thought 4mths and onwards is fine?
anyway gracie has a sensitive tummy so i'm going to wait lor.

lipstar,
mdm rokiah coming over tonight right? i'm sure she can help you w your plugged ducts.

alfafa - yeh i tink better wait. meanwhile give her all the bm u cn. hee hee.

st - saw it. have given u the web. do check out the colours n lemme knw. im goin to ask if cn have more discount if hit a bigger amt. kakaka

cindy,
burn the toys! burn the toys! burn the toys!

*lols*
joking lah.

sorry. you must have been damn pissed off and yet i cannot help but joke about it. heheheheh

return the same favour to him? dump both kids on him plus bottles of ebm then go jalan jalan on your own?

Missycandy
How about weekend, u will be where??? I stay at Amk. Do u stay near SunPlaza? Cos my mum stay & work near at sembawang mrt....

missycandy,

Am i too late to get the cup? I want one purple with sparkles. Is it alright if i transfer to u tomorrow? My 1:39am now... need to sleep badly... and the room is dark cos my bb C is sleeping.. need to find the device.

Curious, i wanna give my mum some token for looking after Keenan. What's the market rate for nanny/babysitter (day & night) for mon-fri ?

Thanks Alfafa, still in 1 piece, as u can see i can post so many times a day :pPP

missy:: YES BAN HIM!!! wahahhaa! anyways also so no mood and no energy. u got uob acct ma? i just sms you nia. haha if not i do interbank but take a few days. hoho.

alfafa:: i feel like it u know. i am so secretly hoping the hse would catch fire and it would be hilarious seeing him ponder over which robot to save first. haha!! but i better keep my dolls properly in case he harbours that same thought. HAHAHA!! it's okay la. joke good ma. now he try to pacify me say go watch on sun. don't want lo. as if i need to watch it. doesn't catch why i am angry and pissed - stupid man.
ok. weaning, i would really suggest as late as possible since like u said gracie has a sensitive tummy. and when weaning, not all stuffs can be sterilised. cereals wise, actually u can buy this book - oh am i asking u to buy SOMETIHNG again.. wahaha! i love the book though. it's called feed your child right - the complete food guide for asian parents. I AM SO IN LOVE with this book lo. i used it for my #1, and will use for trishelle too. will follow the amts and timelines for feeding when weaning.

sassybaby:: haha i thought u getting the cup for farelle neh. i got the cup for travis wo. wonder if he will like it? cause he still cannot master cup fdrinking. next wk go cc liao, don't know how man. sighs.

jtho:: jia you to overocme the lag! nanny miss oli hor? oli miss her?

ok talk laters. my monster just got up from his sleep and talking (blabbering) in his sleepy state asking me to change and bring him out. siao. haha!

pinkdemoness,

*sayang* where is your husband actually posted to? Dont mind my opinion, i think u should go with ur husband cos (1) keep a tab on him (2) u got no job to lose here (3) there's additional allowance when u join him (4) airticket is paid for (5) u have a bb and bb need to keep in touch with dad. If my hb's posting had started this Sep instead of last sep,i would not bother abt my job and would have quit/get no pay leave to join him. It is bad there looking after bb alone but u spend good quality time with bb. That's wht i feel while i am here in US. Though i am trapped, i spend a lot of time communicating with bb C. Think if i am in SG, i would have made sure i go out at least twice a week. Dont think bb C would be as happy as she is now.

jtho,

So good.. I hope that bb C would get over her jet lag when she comes back..
sad.gif
Now i get 8 hr intervals.. dont know how long it would be for me to get this interval when she gets back ot SG.. haiz..

serene - yes yes quite near the mrt. i stay 357a the pink blks. =P

asura - no problem. u cn pay me when u come back as well. for u special la. =P

missycandy,

Thank you so much but i would transfer to u as soon as i find my device. I brought it here with me but past few days was shifting house.. now busy unpacking... bo liao right? Then i got to pack again on Sun cos we going for holiday for the whole of next week.. heh...

RE: Baby Development

Anyone has any idea whether there's a sequence for flip, crawl, sit, stand, walk? Cos my bb is attempting crawling now.. can see that she very upset that she is stuck.. arms and legs cant coordinate well yet plus i think not enough strength.. she just managed to flip from tummy to back today but she has been trying to crawl since yesterday. I thought is learn to flip before learning to crawl but seems like she is attempting to learn all at the same time.

oh yah... i forgot to add that she is unable to get up to sit on her own unassisted yet.. can see that she is also attempting to sit up now..

missycandy- sunday u at home@sembawang? Cos i go to my mum place will be on Sunday. Then i can go to your place and collect from u. My mum stay at 350a. Or u free or passby the mrt can pass it to my mum, cos my mum work at the bubble tea Mon-sat 7am-3pm OT to 4pm...hehe Later tonight or tmr will transfer to u....

i type lemme search then reminded i told alfafa to lemme search for weaning. LOL. paiseh forgot. WAHAHAH short term memory. grrr.

http://www.healthytimes.sg/wean.php

big big tks to all mummies(queenie, alfafa, sassy, prosper, missycandy, grace, irene, sportger, cindy, tusky)for the words of consolation...sure sure, we'll go for cashless meetups to save more...

alfafa: its shanghai lor but this time round, his posting will be firm after he comes back from his 1 mth sailing...he text me last night though...did think of gg with him but too much considerations le...will talk to him agn... hopefully its just wild imaginations n sensitive this round...

asura: did tot of gg but i hv too many constraints too...my thoughts are if i go n shld anything happen, i would be all alone there with no friends, at least here, i still have u guys n my family to turn to if i need to talk...plus this attachment, not advisable to tag along as most of the time he'll either be onboard e ship so also back to 0...one thing is i m very trusting towards anybody especially him so when it happens, the impact was great...hopefully nth goes wrong this time...

<font color="119911">re:Dim sum</font>

<font color="ff0000">mangogal</font> - u wanna go again? Count me in leh!! I want to eat! haha

<font color="ff0000">pinkdemoness</font> - y u don consider go over to acc ur hb? like that more time to spend with each other..then u can come back like every 2-3mths? Don't worry abt ranting since this forum is for us mummies to relieve ourselves. Oh..one more thing...nobody got PERFECT husband one cos they are MAN who are of different MAKE.
happy.gif

<font color="ff0000">queenie</font> - ur MS dropping?

<font color="119911">re:MS supply</font>
I am cut down the # of pump sessions to 4 times daily n end up getting more milk. How ah? I was hoping MS will end by Aug before i go to work.

<font color="ff0000">alfafa</font> - show us your 'Love' products after u complete! heehee so anxious to see!

<font color="ff0000">sassy</font> - isn't it wed? :p

<font color="ff0000">missycandy</font> - u going to meet me? when? eh sorry these few days not following thread closely :p
I also want the cup! Can i get the red one too? Pls pm me ur a/c so i can tt u the $$

<font color="ff0000">lenny</font> - have u bought the purse thingy from the web u post? cos BP like got something similar but at cheaper price leh

pinkdemoness, i think maybe u can consider going there to visit inbetween? surely thére's a way to increase communication? If he's onboard when the ship docks, would u know the schedule then?

Queenie, monday was terrible, the 1st day of work. Then yday tuesday went to see him and i carried him as long as i can. Didn't let him sleep till 10pm keep playing w him. So today feeling very much better. I think if i can see him tues, thurs and bring him home on friday, i can do this full time working thing. Only question is whether i want to....maybe its the fear of not being able to get back to work later that's stopping me from tendering...

pinkdemoness,

Shanghai is very dangerous place for a man to go without wife leh.. no other pple accompanied by wife who would be staying at the same place with u? Cos like here, i make friends with the wives so we kind of help each other. Anyway, u are in the best position to consider your options. Feel free to rant or maybe when i am back in SG, we can meet for meals..
