For my hubs and me, we would take a slow walk from our apartment down Shaanxi nanlu all the way to Shaanxi beilu to: 1) huaihailu; 2)nanjing xilu; 3) ruijin erlu during the cooler mths, which are obviously in the mths of Mar-May and Sept-Nov.
My things are from small boutiques along these streets as well as some other smaller lanes like 新乐路
The stuffs they carry are very unique & might come across to some pp as "outlandish" (they are from Korea & Japan), but it's ok to wear them if u work in the creative line.
As we didnt hv any kids then, we dined out most of the time, by consulting the Timeout mags every evening!!! I suppose if u hv two toddlers, u will just go to Carrefour and buy your groceries and get the ayi to cook for u every nite!!! No more clubbing, spa or fine-dining for u!!!
