sarahmay,
although i dun swaddle my boy, i still use the swaddleme to "wrap" him from chest down. at least he wont be exposed to too much wind - have been raining quite frequently these days. i also have a beansprout pillow slung across him. i'm sure he feels secured enuff.
anyway, i tried latching my boy yesterday for the 1st time since discharging from hospital. he seemed to be suckling well & i felt good too. when i released him from my breast after 15min, i did see a tinge of milky stuff by his mouth and also on my nipples. was so happy for the successful attempt.
BUT THEN, when i went to express out the balance later, i realised "how come i still can pump out as much milk?". my CL also can feed him his usual volume of EBM. my goodness, did he manage to latch or not?
i'm facing a different problem now also - oversupply. i just expressed out 200ml, 5hrs after my previous pump. i have to resort to giving the excess to my elder gal. not willing to start storage yet cos the milk now are considered more nutritional - shouldnt waste the goodness by freezing it. and i also dun want to store my milkbags with all my frozen confinement food now. can only start storing after this confinement period. i can foresee another freezer space storage problem...
