finally managed to come in here after a long day. went for DS today at TMC, if not wrong HB paid $107 plus. in total take half hour.

my sonographer is monica yap and first she tell you to lie down, then she ask about my EDD then she start to use the scan thingy to scan my tummy. luckily my gal very guai and let her took all measuremeents. head dimensions, arms and thighs, heart, spine all taken and tabulated into a computer.

then she shown me and HB the fingers and toes, the lips and face and even mention my bb will be tall like daddy and mummy...haha. everything is normal except that she mention the results shown seems to be on the higher side, my bb is bigger than average in week 20 if my EDD is 10 Aug. Her results actually shown that my EDD should be 5 Aug, i am actually in week 21 then my bb weight at 455g will be normal. well am i glad that my bb is growing well and everyting is normal.

for rebonding better wait till you have given birth. me also waiting till then before i give my hair a treat, now they are in a total mess. luckily i just had a haircut, my curls are down the drain....

better to wait till give birth. After birth when breastfeeding, can go rebonding or colour, but the BM must pump out and throw away for the day and the day before you go salon, must prepare surplus of BM for your bb. This is what I do during my BF days or else I do not know how to go out with silly messy hair. Always tie up also make me more sian and will cause hair to drop more.

wow, quite a few of you have had your DS huh? Mine's not yet till 2 wks later. But yar, for those of you who done OSCAR @ TMC, do you still have to pay for your DS? Accding to my clinic, no need oredi... :S I was so shocked at the price i paid for OSCAR's actually....

all of you who had ur DS and cfmed the gender and health of ur bbs, gong xi gong xi!

avocado, btw,if i read the posts correctly, u got 1 boy &amp; 1 gal hor? xianmuz again..... gynae said 2nd one 90% gal, cos even tho legs crossed, she no see any 'diamond'. i was so wishing for a 'balance' in family... but it's ok, healthy can leow. :D more than happy in that sense.

well, my 1st preg, i had a scare cos the triple test results were a little out. so, ended up having to do amnio... so, tis time round, even tho 2nd preg, i tot, wth, might as well juz do oscar cos more accurate etc. so, i paid almost 500 for it!!!! cos, it din include some blood test rendered by my clinic. i tell u ah, tis gynae sooo much more ex compared to my prev one. but i get better service in exchange. mebbe it's really worth it? less stress when i go for visits.

Yes, my #1 is a gal and #2 is a boy but everytime when I go outside and saw two sisters (kids with near age gap) hold hands walk together, I really very envy. Don't think abt gender as health is much more impt.

I think $500 still okay as you said it included the DS. So total about the same as many go for oscar ($320++) and DS ($100++).

well, when i first paid when having my OSCAR, was shocked leh... was quite happy to find out that DS included. but then when i read the thread, i started to wonder again whether i needed to pay for something 'additional' / 'extra' or not. btw, so many ppl during my OSCAR scan at TMC when i had it tat day. spent like half a day there! plus din help tat bb wasn't in the position the lady needed. but yar, can say tat they were all pretty friendly.

oh u waited long time for your OSCAR? You should have booked early morning appt, then no need to wait. Mine was early morning, i only waited like 5-10mins.
If can, you should booked early morning appt for your DS. Mine that time i was given 12pm slot, coz earlier no more slots. That time I had to wait longer, like 30mins. I think my bb was impatient coz she kept kicking me the whole time...hee.
 
mulberry, u went weekday for ur DS rite also need to wait so long? I went on sat 11am slot i was there 15mins earlier then i started exactly at 11am

oh oh i just remembered something the nurse told me. the waiting time also depends on the ppl before. If the lady before you, her bb is uncooperative, then her scanning time will be long, and will delay your own appt.
If everyone before you, their bb is cooperative, then their scan take short time only and thus, your one can start on time or even earlier.
hee...so i think the ppl before me, their bb not so cooperative.
 
mulberry, i tink cos i was LATE for my appt... tat's why. haha..mebbe i shldn't complain? but well, i was recommended to get the SBI card for discount mah. so, went down to apply, by the time i came up, was abt 10 mins late. that resulted in waiting for almost an hour ah. tis time i shld go really early or at least b on time.
