of coz i miss yishun. and heng they revamped northpoint coz its so outdated man...

Topic of the day:
We had joint a/c which we both contributed (he gave more), mainly for family expenses. Then he and I had our own savings which we will pay for our own holidays etc. That day I was telling him that my savings hit a certain amt and he was shocked that I had more money than him. Hahahaha...

Since hubby is an accountant, I leave all the finances to him loh. I don't bother much. :p He is those type who will work out spreadsheet and keep and file all invoices. hahahaha.

All NO for me but YES for my hubby. Same here, my hubby likes to update in excel spreadsheet...typical accountant type...Super niao niao one...can quote an incident..

Our H/P bills are tied in one bill. As he got many overseas calls, usually he will pay the full sum including my h/p bill since is 2 in 1. But i did not pay him back...one fine day, he showed me a full list of calculation on my h/p monthly bill &amp; asked me to refund him. Faint!!! But i also chu pattern!!! My bill is still a "Bad debt" until today, hahaha.. now never work liao... he can even forget to claim back from me. But i actually got some subsidy from Co... that's why he said i "Eat" his $$$, hohoho ;)

We both have our own savings a/c as well as a joint a/c. Joint a/c is used to pay utility bills, etc and our personal savings will pay for holidays, etc.

He knows how much I have cos $$ in my a/c is "fixed asset"...meaning cannot touch and keep for rainy day. He pays all the bills now cos I'm not working and his savings is used for investment, stocks, etc.

I used to spend more "freely" when I was working but now I write down all my expenses including groceries and stuff cos need to keep track on my allowance

We do it together but hubby has a very keen interest on building up our "passive income" so he can retire early.

I invest in structured deposits and a little bit of shares. Hubby has a bigger portfolio of shares and some SD as well. Basically I'm not a high risk-taker so very careful with what I invest in.

If anyone has read the sunday times last weekend, you might have read about the couple who have an investment portfolio of $250k which grew from their initial capital injection of $130k. This portfolio provides them with an annual dividend payout of $24k. That's $2k per month which easily covers most families' basic living expenses. Very clever couple...hope to be like them too...

Only hubby invests into funds/stocks. I know nuts abt all these so he does them all. Thats why my money is lazy money, unless I do biz.
 
yea Yvonne i read abt the clever couple. envy le but don't think i will have such chance in my life. But also need to have substantial savings before any investment portfolio. The couple got any kids yet? Sometimes luck &amp; opportunity also play a part.

no hor, its MINIMUM $24 per kg, which is $24 x 4 = $96, i round up coz im sure they wont charge MINIMUM mah...and for this, its a square cake but with a "2" on top of the cake. it wont take on the physical shape of "2".
for the physical shape of "2" cake, it costs $30 per kg i think coz in the pic, it says $90, 3kg.
so for a 4kg cake, it would be $120.

divide by 25 sets of ppl, each set pays almost $5...just for 2 slices of cake (mon &amp; dad)?? errr i think a bit ho hua...right?

i havent got the chance to go swee heng opp my place. wanted to do that yest but it started to rain and i started on housework till 11pm...shag...but i oredi told my hb i'll order cake by this weekend liao

but must see mummies' comments before i order oso mah

funni le cos remb i call the other day the rivervale mall sweeheng outlet &amp; the uncle who pick up my call say min 2kg for a standard sq cake with a "2" on top while for physical shape of "2" is min 3kg wor. All same price at $28/kg &amp; is fresh cream. Ecreative charges less expensive than swee heng if based on your quote!

Wah, that's very good hor. If I can fetch $2k/month from the investment payout, I will become SAHM (on the condition that ALL my kids are older than 3 years old by then!).

But well, sadly, we haven't started any investment leh, though have been talking about it the longest time ever. No time to read/do research, so have been dragging and dragging.

It's driving me nuts now...... and I didn't have this "problem" after delivered #1.

for me, it lasted abt 3mths...started when #1 &amp; #2 was 5mths plus. Maybe u wanna buy some hair lost treatment to apply on yr scalp bah.
