(2008/01) Jan 2008 MTBs

krystle, I don't really have a choice cos my MBR is very small. Can only put either a cosleeper bedside bassinet or a very small cot. Our bed is also a queen size cos room too small. So, I can't have no. 1 and no. 2 sleeping together. Ya, my gal is very sticky type, can understand why she doesn't like to sleep alone. But I've also seen kids who can do it right from the beginning eg. Rayden, Lyn's son who has been sleeping on his own in his own room since he came back from the hospital. So, I wonder if it's really not possible for my gal lor. :p

Luca, not wild imagination leh. It's true, my agent that day had to bring another maid to the police cos she said Sir 'molested' her. Then at the police station, she couldn't give a clear statement of how Sir touched her, what were the kids doing, why she didn't shout or resist etc. End up, got charged for making false report. But the damage is done lor, imagine how many trips the employer must go to the police station for this kind of nonsense. If can avoid, why risk it? :p

Pixie,
YSL has withdraw their beauty products from Asia market, incl HK. So next time can only find YSL at Changi Airport. Only YSL perfumes remain in Singapore. Loreal has also bought over YSL cosmetics, hence the change in their business model.

Steph,
Can post ur damage for us to see lei...

wah now then i free leh.. but everybody gone home le ...

would like to share Tate's foto taken 2 wks back at hair salon

Kitsune,
I see... Then really no choice. All my bedrooms are rather big so no problem to accomodate my girl's yaolan and my boy's playpen at this moment. Every kid is different and takes some time to adapt to different sleeping environment bah... I also think my girl will refuse to sleep in another bedroom for now. Even my 2 nephews (8 and 4 yr old) are still sleeping with their parents! But they are facing problems that the other room is too small and my bro refused to give up his study room.

You are also right abt some maids doing something funny. It happened to my colleague whose new maid suddenly went to MOM and said she did not want to go back to work. My colleague practically hit the roof coz she said she never bully or overworked her and this made other people thought that she abused her leh.

Chaye,
Tate looks so happy during the hair cut! My girl still cries when going for her hair cut leh.

Thanks to everyone for the replies on ML. :p

I think I'm normal then. So tired after a long day's of work, I'm not the only one that have no mood for ML i guess.

need to ask those mummies who use Friso 2 old packaging last time. how much is it selling last time? I got a tin of 900g to sell. got a mummy offer me at $18. is it too low?

Pixie,

I have a friend who works in the same shipping coy as u last time. office move to harbour front liao.

for the YSL product, i think I found something similar and tried it out at the counter at robinson at raffles city. feel smooth - Dr feel good by benefit. $58. it is balm rather than a cream.

Mcfluffy,
I'm always tired..Work, home, go through #1 work and then play with #2. 24 hrs like not enough.

Chaye,
Tate is so obedient, unlike Zach..

Luca,
Here's the bag which I'm thinking of

Brien so Cute! but korean drama got this pose meh?

Krystle, ya lor, last time buy flat, furniture everything try to be bb friendly. All wooden furniture, hardly any glass, leave 1 room empty to be baby room. End up, baby and now toddler don't want to sleep alone and my MBR is too small. 人算不如天算。That's why always fantasizing about moving house. Haha.

I once saw a friend's flat. Her EA at Pasir ris is so big that she can put a king size bed, a big baby cot and a sofa bed into the same room and it doesn't look cramped at all. So good. :p

Chaye, agree, Tate so handsome, the eyes so big, double the size of my gal. :p

Hi Mummies,

I have finally popped on 19 Oct!!! Now doing confinement at mum's place. Goodness time seems not moving at all. Sweaty whole day long with my oily and smelly hair!!!!

Shall update my birth story.

17 oct - Experienced slight brown discharge but no other symtom of labour so waited....

18 Oct - Brown discharge still no contractions. Paged Dr ask me go to hospital the following day.

19 Oct - Went to check up. 2cm dilated bb wasn't moving much already. Dr say its signs of bb wanna come out but my body resisted. Got admitted at 1pm for induction. * Night mare started*

2pm - Got strapped onto the bed with the contraction monitor

3pm - Put on drip. Mild contraction started 30mins later

4.30pm - Dr came and checked for dilation only 3cm dilated. Bursted my water bag.

5.30 - The real contractions started. Realised that my cervix is opening too slow so asked for epi. Paged for so may doctors all not available.

7pm - Finally 1 doctor came to my saviour. Epi adminstered and cervix open very fast.

8.30pm - Got the urge to push. Nurse check i was 8cm dilated.

8.45pm - Ready for labour. With 2 push BB Jasmyn was BORN!!!!! Wt: 2.61kg HT: 48cm

Could say that this labour is faster and smoother compared to #1. Cos took epi earlier and cervix is thinner already so delivery is faster.

RE: Breast Feeding

Milk kicked in on the 4th day. Tried to latch on but Jasmyn is simply too sleepy. Pumped also nothing came out. But i am super engorged. So i decided nt to BF. CL ask me to take Holicks think it helps to reduce the BM now seems to be a bit more relived. Yest nite was so engorged till i vomited.

HI Jacelyn

Guess you are well with Jasymn ! Post pix of her leh. must be v cute de...

Thanks for all the compliment on Tate. The trick for him to stay on the chair for hair cut is the spray lor. cos he keep spraying on himself and he finds it funny so we let him do it during the session hehehehe...

Jacelyn,
Congrats! but why dun wana BF?

Blackbatz,
nice bag, how much is it?

steph,
pixie mentioned abt ur rosy cheeks, did u put blusher?

jacelyn, you feel relieve mayb your milk supply is just getting low as you are not pumping and latching on.

last time lactation consultants ask me to drink hoclick as i bf....saying that it can boost milk supply

Congrats! Jacelyn. My no. 1, cervix also dilated very very slowly even though I was induced. Once dr say must induced, I asked for epi immediately cos scared of pain, haha. :p

Aiyah, a bit wasted not to BF when you have so much milk. Why is Jasmyn so sleepy? How's the jaundice check? Usually pump after a hot drink helps with letdown and got better flow leh. Never heard that horlicks can reduce BM flow though. :p

Jacelyn,
Congrates! Take care and have enough rest while the CL is still around, k!

Baby is always sleepy at this age lor. Is she willing to suck? If she is, then catch that very moment when she is not sleeping and let her suck and suck. Engorgement very uncomfortable hor.

Morning all

Verene,
i've PM-ed u.

Jacelyn,
Glad to hear yr delivery was a fast & smooth one!
If you are super engorged & pump also nothing came out, most likely is blocked ducts le. Get Mdm Rokiah 92716091 for blocked ducts & engorgement service at $58 per session about an hour. She can help you!

luca,
i only put blusher when i go work otherwise i don't apply any make up on my face. That day i think running after Z makes my blood circulate (rise) very well...even walking under a hot sun, my face will get rosy cheeks naturally de. My coll & frds all envy me say my face rosy rosy...like very healthy:p

Yesterday sent my parents to airport, flying back to KL. So they left :-( Today is the only day I can enjoy the absolute ME time, without any disturbance. But then, on the other hand, have to handle everything on my own when the kids are back in the evening.

For the previous 2 days, I have tried to fetch the 2 kids on my own in the evening. First day was so messy, all the steps mixed up. Supposed to get everything ready and put HR to stroller and lastly to sling baby. But I sling baby first, the aiyo, like handicap already (cos 1st time using sling). Then it's all thanks to HR, who is so guai and so helpful, I was sooooooooooo touched. What I did, after sling my baby, was helped HR to unlatched the seat belt (he is on boaster car seat), then asked him to get down on his own, climbed out of the car, then helped me to pass the 3 bags to me, one by one. He did all correctly! Luckily I have taken out and get the stroller ready. So I stepped on the stroller and asked HR to climbed on it on his own. He did it willingly. And then he buckled himself up (which he likes to do everything he is on the stroller). Honestly if not for HR, I have to call my mum to come down and help me already. I was very touched for him being so "dong shi", but at the same time, I felt a bit sad that my boy is growing up so fast, sometime I do miss the more baby-ish side of him :)

Yesterday was better. I did all the steps correctly. And HR is still very guai, XY also very guai :)

The nanny is very very very nice. We are so lucky to have this nanny. She is genuinely loving and caring for my girl. Cos she always wanted a girl but she has 2 boys. So now she is treating my girl as her own girl :)

luca,
blusher cannot save la cos sometimes really need to apply alittle as it gives a glow on a pale face. So, my face will looked alittle OVER = too rosy until my coll teased me & say my cheeks like monkey's buttock!*faintz*

kam, you are indeed lucky in all areas.

envy you to have such a dongshi boy.....my younger boy wouldnt have chap me

he really behaving a big boy hor

kam, good for you that HR is so cooperative. RaeAnne used to want to buckle herself up too but she doesn't have enough strength to buckle the maclaren clips. Now, she doesn't even want stroller, everytime, tell us 'walk walk walk' or 'bao bao' when she's tired. Faint! :p

But today I was very touched when I asked her who is Raelynn and she pointed to my tummy. I asked her who is RaeAnne and she pointed to herself. She even said 'morning' to me.
happy.gif

Kam,

HR is really so dong shi & guai le.

Z yesterday tripped & fell...kena BIG baluku on his forehead, cried so loud..
3144270.jpg

The day before he fell backwards from the sofa & head landed on the tempered glass short table...kena bruised badly & almost wanna cut into his skull (pix below)...a little blood oso...if the impact was greater, he might need a stitch liow...poor boy...both incidents i am not around cos at work...PIL told me what happened...sigh...active boy prone to more accidents?
3144271.jpg

Chaye, I think so. CC kids tends to be mature faster cos they spend the whole day at CC. They are more exposed and pick up things faster from young, learning from young from other kids and teachers.

In the last 2 months plus after I sent RaeAnne to playgroup, she learnt to talk more, make greetings, keep her toys, Tell us to keep quiet by putting her finger on her lips, sing lyrics of songs (only a few words), music and movement, will shake hands with other kids when we ask even though they just met at the park, etc.

But it depends on how fast you want your child to grow up. I'll miss her baby-ish side too if she grows up too fast. So, for now, I'm happy when she runs back and to hold my hand when she wants to walk up the steps. If walking down, she skips down the step on her own.
happy.gif

Steph, RaeAnne was throwing tantrum outside ILs house and 'kiap' her palm between the metal gates too. Luckily, it's red but skin not yet broken. :p

steph
i think it is common.. my boy also gana same as Z... heart so pain.. but bo bian.. my hubby say some accidents even if adults ard also cannot be prevented de. cos they are too active liao....

aiyo steph... auntie debbie sayang zander ok ? I must admit tat it's very difficult to keep an eye on active child and to prevent them from falls and knocks de... Hopefully they will learn from their own mistake and be mindful the next time they climb or jump again...

kitsune
being in cc will they learn some bad habits back har ? Eg, if there's another child who throws tantrum at cc or bully other children then your child picks it up leh ? will tis happen har ?

Steph,
Aiyoh..... so poor thing ah. After crying, he became less active? Or after soothing down, start running around and jumping up and down again :p

Chaye/kitsune,
Yes, i also think that it helps for my boy to be more mature that he is attending cc everyday. BUT, no, it's not something I can control, I cannot control how fast I want my child to grow up. A lot to do with the kid himself. There is a boy in his class, who is 2 months older than HR, they came to the cc exactly on the same day (cos his mum has 4 months ML and I only had 2 months). This boy is not as mature as my boy though 2 months older.

My boy is more "manja" when meimei is not around. He would want me to carry him when he knows my hands are free esp when we go out. I think because he loves his meimei, so he is very willing to share mama with his meimei. When I BF meimei, he won't disturb me, if hubby is not around, he plays his toys on his own, or I turn on tv for him. Until I put down meimei after BF, he immediately comes to me for a hug and kiss. I truly absolutely love my boy soooo much that my hubby is very jealous :)

Jess,

ya accidents cannot predict but can prevent like jumping up/dwn, climbing up/dwn the sofa where there is potential danger thingy lying around like glass table, vase etc. My PIL overlooked on this thus bo bian but i am not blaming them...kids afterall like to explore, play & try...just hope nothing more serious will happened to Z...worry le cos my boy superb active & he loves to throw milk bottle/toys/paper at didi...got few times kena didi's forehead le...my #2 cried so badly...told Z cannot but after awhile he still do it again *vomit blood*...he loves to spit water on the floor/table...dunno where he learn from...MIL used cane to scare/discipline him, he then behaved. *headache ah*

Kam,
After crying & soothing down, he remained active...that's why PIL not so worry abt the cut/bruised cos the impact was great le...the injured part was swollen & got a little blood.

steph...
ya.. i think more difficult to cope cos u have 2 kids. tats y i always tell my hubby i very peifu u all who have 2 kids. he always say i 1 also cannot cope liao still want 2nd one.. hahahaha...
happy.gif

i always have a qs tat i want to ask u but forget to ask. if both ur kids at home, then ur hubby not around. u have to go toilet... how??

i knw stupid qs la.. but wana knw.. keke...

Hi Jacelyn
Congrats!! U deliver at MT E right? what is the visitor limit now?

steph,
Xavier also sprain his leg last week and I dunno when it happens. And it will take long for his to recover as he never stop running and jumping.

Boys are boys...

jess,

if both my kids at home & hb not around & i have to go toilet...here's how:

if small business (pee onli), anytime cos #2 in walker while #1 watch Tv or walk ard playing his toys etc.
if big business (poo & pee), chop chop fast fast finish like say 5-10mins open door hor, no choice cos at least i can hear/see them. Otherwise if i can wait/hold (not urgent) then i wait till hubby is back home loh.

Jacelyn,
Congrats to you! Sounds like your delivery was rather smooth but taking 1.5 hr to get epi administered is a bit long... Luckily during then your contractions were still manageable. If not will go mad! Why dun BF leh since got engorgement? Did you experience the same when having your #1? Coz I myself is a BF failure so hope you can persistent on BF lah... Drink horlick should increase BM leh...

Kam,
Yes, I also agree that you are very fortunate to have 2 very obedient kids. Never hear you complained much too. My girl is ok and can be obedient and helpful at times only. Got to depend on her mood. She will help to give pacifier to baby bro, take milk bottle to my hubby to wash after baby's feeding etc. But she will also "hand-itchy" by taking all those creams and bottles stuff that baby bro is using and hide somewhere... You ask her where she also won't tell and just run away!!!

Steph,
Hugz to Z! Apply Zambak on the balugu. But the 2nd pic looks more serious. I thought I saw a very thin red line... Aiyo but no choice. Our toddlers at this stage are super active and although PILs are looking after them, they also cannot react fast enough to save them from falling too. Better watch out if Z has any signs of vomit or fever... If yes, need to see doc immediately!

Kam: HR is a good boy. ;-) So impressed. ;-)

Just to share, my girl recently also very cute and she really touches my heart deeper each day. ;-)
Last weekend, her nappy was wet in the middle of the night, she suddenly woke up and call me: "mummy, poo". I was like: huh? poo at this hours (coz am a lazy mummy- hahaha). And then I tried to smell her but no poo smell, but can feel it's very wet there. So I told her, you are not pooed, just wet due to you pee too much. Then I changed her, and both of us back to sleep- I didnt brother to throw the wet nappy into the dustbin but just fold and put it in the floor. ;-) Thought both of us went back to sleep, but then 15 mins later, my girl woke up, went down and pick up the dirty nappy and said" throw, throw" and she threw it into the dustbin and back to sleep as usual.

The following night, she had a wet nappy again, but she pulled off the nappy by herself and took new diaper tried to wear on herself (very cute)- i was pretending to sleep, but cant help but woke up and helped her instead. After wore her nappy, she also threw the dirty one into the dustbin and slept again.

Nowsaday, she even can waer her own shoes, but wrong side still. ;-)

Very touch huh? My girl really grows so much!

Jess,

My answer is pretty much like Steph's.

Pee can go anytime.
Poo can hold I hold. If cannot hold, will chop chop fast fast finish, at least let those cannot wait to come out ones come out first. Then when hubby is back, go again if still have some left. Get what I mean.

After having #2, I am not so kan cheong already. If baby cries, I just let her cry for a while if I am in the middle of doing something. For example, if I am eating, I will finish my meal first before attending to her even if she cries. Last time for #1, he started crying for a few seconds, we picked him up immediately. I told my hubby, #1 is always the most "xin fu" one lor cos can have full attention mah. Think for #2, it's compensated by having a big brother/sister to love her/him.

Blessedbaby,
Yes, your girl is so clever! Knows how to put on diaper by herself! Actually I can also see my girl always attempt to take off diaper herself but I always step in to help her. However she can also throws her own diaper like your girl. Heeheheh.. As for shoes, she does not know how to wear. But she knows how to take them off and put them back to the shelf.
happy.gif

I also has the feeling that suddenly my girl is growing up very fast! I felt old when I see her... Sometimes wish I can be SAHM and take care of her and watch her grow up...

krystle: -), i love my girl so much dare not to think the day i HAVE TO send her to full day childcare yet! coz everywhere i go, she is with me. few days ago, my mum n aunties took her to playground w/o me, i cant sleep at home but to come to her leh.
dun know when #2 arrives, how to love 2 of them equally. ;-)

krystle,
Your girl is very good leh. Can help you to do the little chores!

Blessedbaby,
Johanna is a good girl. I saw her photos in your FB, and think she has grown a lot and getting prettier and prettier.

BTW, you know the gender of your #2 already? You are at OZ now?

My boy knows how to put on shoes nicely just a couple of weeks ago. Now he wants to learn to put on clothes. He used to like throwing diapers and rubbish into bin, and he categorised the bins himself, food waste throw into kitchen bin, paper throw into the living room one, diaper throw in the toilet one. But now he doesn't do it anymore.

Where can I buy Clarks shoes for kids? Any departmental store still has offer/sales on? Need to get a new pair for HR, cannot fit already.
