tongtong,
ya loh no choice cos i am the only one who cut/trim my boys finger & toe nails. PIL got lau hua so cannot do it. I will trim once or twice a wk for my boys provided they cooperate to sit still & let me trim else very difficult, some time half way only, Z refuse to let me cut all his nails le.

steph,

shaun sits still to let me cut his nail one by one, but once i finish he wants to use the scissor or nailclipper himself.

What are the 7 "must have" things that u carried in your bag to work(ftwm)/outdoor(sahm)?

1. handphone
2. keys
3. wallet
4. MRT card
5. umbrella

Me too, have 5 only hehe

steph, i have nail clipper with me all the time too. If not, raeanne will keep pulling n peeling the skin tags until her finger bleeds. :p

yvonne, according to the pharmacist i asked when i got diarrhea, all antibiotics will cause loose stools. How bad it is depends on individual and the drug used. It's not an allergy but i known side effect of the med except i didn't know about it at all. :p

Since so many toddlers are sick, I read about the B.R.A.T diet for a sick toddler , especially when he has an upset stomach.
1. Bananas – reduce stomach acidity and keep your child’s potassium level in check.
2. Rice – quick source of carbs and protein and it helps when child has diarrhea.
3. Apples or applesauce
4. Toast- serve dry toast.

tongtong no prob

violetIce,

now HK is cold so best time to eat claypot rice... hmm i missed those days when i worked in HK. was there from sep till mar & spent my xmas there too! I also enjoyed wearing winter jacket and my boots(the pretty woman boots!) to work every day! Now my boots is kept inside my shoe cabinet for years but i will occassionally take out to appreciate! :p

janbb
i dote on my #2 more leh. cos my #2 very poor thing as my #1 always demand attention from me and when i carry #2, she will tell my maid to carry #2 from me so that she can get my full attention. And my #2 very chin chai one... anyone carry her also ok and always smile to everyone who play with her. hb & i love #2 more cos #1 always throw tantrums to irritate us. :p

kam
i like your strategy but i cant get much milk out of the manual pump leh... i tried 1 wk by using manual pumps only cos it easy to lug around to my mum place but my supply drop. so i quickly use back the ameda pump and my supply back to normal again. so i got no choice but to lug a heavy pump. one good thing for u is HR is a good boy who sits in stroller. my #1 simply refuse stroller so it's either she walk or gotta carry loh.

Tongtong
i also got the avent manual pump from mylife
happy.gif
but dunno y i couldnt achieve as much milk as compared to electric pump. however, i do use the manual pump when i need to work/attend meeting in those offices that do not have electrical points. cos my job requires me to travel occassionally to other offices for meeting.

Superbee, wah! you worked in HK before! must be a great experience. Do u speak Cantonese? Hey, your #2 is still so small of course she is ok to be carried by everyone ma. I never use a good electric pump before. maybe if I have #2 I should invest in 1.

5)medicine box

6)tissue

i dunno why you have low output from avent manual coz its one of the "toughest" pump. the suction induces high supply leh. whenever my output drop, a few sessions of avent manual will push my output back up again....hmmm...and i have some friends say avent manual too painful for them coz of the suction.

superbee,
I second Pixie. When I use Avent manual for the night pump, I actually get more than the Ameda. But the only thing is it's very time consuming, that is at least double the pump time cos single pump mah. And I feel it empties my boobs much better than the Ameda, esp for my "not-so-productive" right boob. Don't know leh, different people different bah.

kam
towards the end of my bfding days, i used manual avent both sides together. how you catch the bm when you pump 1 side? the other side sure leak milk one rite?

kam
wah good control. mine will gush like tap so i feel very wasted if i use single.
last time in my ex company, we share the storeroom to pump got 1 mummy she uses avent uno electric so the other side, she use a small cup to "catch" the bm hurhur

tongtong
ya i worked in HK alone for 6mths. suppose to work for 2 yrs there but i cut it short cos hb(bf then) proposed to me so i came back to sg to get marry loh! hahahaa... :p actually another reason y i left HK is becos i am all alone in the office so i was bored! my sg company sent me to start up the GCR territory and everyday i work alone in a brand new business center without colleagues there and there isnt any other companies in the business center. it's only me and the business centre receptionist so i felt damn sian after a while cos u got no pple to talk to except to frens via yahoo or msn. i learn to speak cantonese when i was there but havent been speaking cantonese for 3 yrs liao so now kinda rusty.. :p

Kam & Pixie
Hmm... maybe i impatient bah.. cos i normally spend 10mins to get >200ml via electric pump but by using manual pump(single), its take 25-30mins if i want to achieve the same amt??... so i didnt really wait till 30mins and chop chop finish off when my hands get tired which is abt 20mins... :p

superbee,
Wah, you supply so good leh :) Mine is still hovering between 100 - 150ml (or can reach 200ml on a good day) each 15min pump session, cos my right boob refuses to work. But I am not complaining, it's enough for my gal, so I am happy :)

Luca, hehe, my last post was from TMC Delifrance. My appt was 3pm but ended up seeing the gynae only at 5pm. :/ Luckily I already know that it'll run late so only reached there at 345pm.

Baby Raelynn is already 3kg so even if pop this weekend, she's of good weight. I'm only 0.5cm dilated and gynae said her head is engaged and quite low. But if she drags to next week, she'll be 3.1 or 3.2kg like RaeAnne. :p

Anyway, I don't ask for too much. As long as she tahan and let Cheh cheh recover first before arriving then I'm happy. RaeAnne vomitted her milk again after her last feed and she coughed. Hubby said we got to change our usual practice of last milk feed before she sleeps cos she's prone to puke it out. Her diaper rash is still bad. Today keep pooing a bit of loose stools. Kept crying when we try to change her diaper, wash her butt, and apply steroid cream. Heart pain, decided to skip the antibiotics for tonight since her loose stools didn't get better even with 2.5ml dosage. :p

Thanks, Steph. Now, I'm starting to worry that I'll fall sick after RaeAnne recovers due to lack of sleep and exposure to her bugs. Just took 1000mg of Vit C. :p

kitsune,
Regarding vomiting, not sure if ur girl still taking fever medicine. Doc asked me to stop burofen once Xavier start vomiting cos it will make things worse.

Icy, thanks, I stopped paracetemol after 5pm cos her temperature was 37.6 at 9+pm. Just now, when she woke up crying at 12+, we took her temp again and it was 37.2. Maybe cos she is sleeping on the water mattress and we didn't let her wear long pants (to ventilate her diapered bottom and nappy rash).

kitsune,
ya hope RaeAnne gets well soon and mei mei will guai guai stay inside until jie jie recovers.
take care ya, drink lotsa water.

sigh, bo bian cos my gal keeps waking up to cry n one of us has to pacify her since she's sick. Plus hubby always needs to do work at night so i sort of 'pei' him lor.

This morning, stomach n back so crampy i thought contractions start liao. Luckily, after taking a nap, felt better. I haven't cut my hair yet, planning to do it later today.

Kitsune,
Hugs to you! Hope RaeAnne gets well very soon. Yes, you got to watch your health too. Coz 3 weeks before I deliver #2, my girl was having diarrhea and throwing up milk too. Luckily it lasted only 1 night but it was straining on me then. And after she got better, I caught the virus and it was my turn to have diarrhea and ended up with piles.... So you must really take care. Coz you sounded like anytime to me.

krytle, sigh, I 'tio' liao. Confirmed caught the bug from my gal liao. In fact, all 3 of us are sick, hubby, me and the maid. :p Just took cough syrup and cold med and Vit C. But at least passed another day without popping liao. Hope my gal can go back to school on Monday then we can all get some rest. :p

Cut my hair at QB house just now, the aunty layered it by a lot. My ponytail is even more straggly now, looks like a joke. But at least by chopping my fringe and a layered back, it is more cooling.

Kitsune,
You still letting your girl attending school on Mon??? Since she is not completely recovered, why don't you keep her away from school? Maybe bring her to your mum's place or ILs' place at least you can have some rest? Take care, ok?

Krystle, her cough is better and no more fever. May let her go back to school since it's only 2 hours. Unless the teacher rejects her lor. My ILs can't handle her for long when she's sick cos she's whiny and grounchy and will keep chanting for us.

Last week, when we put her there from 11am onwards, they keep calling in the afternoon and either me or my hubby got to rush over. :p My mum totally cannot lor cos she never took care of RaeAnne before.

But I need to take cough and cold med to get well asap but when I take med, it makes me drowsy so I'll knock out. Sigh. Dilemma also.

morning mummies

wah, today's journey to mil place was horrible...x just cry and throw tantrums the whole train ride. and i just resolutely stare ahead, ignoring his tantrums.

Kitsune, pls take care of urself and raeanne.

i also jz recovered from flu, weather is so bad! raining suddenly and the nex moment, it is sunny....

Morning... was up at 4+, 5am cos my gal was crying and hubby knocked out liao. So tired. Sent her to school since hubby needs to go back to school even though he's on leave. :p Need to bring her to PD for review later cos cough syrup running out liao. :p

Thanks, tongtong, Aqua, I took med in the morning. Very sleepy but cannot knock out. Later, going to bring my gal from playgroup to ILs place liao. :p

Thanks, pixie, go and make yourself some coffee bah. I wish I can drink that now but it will interact with my supplements so cannot. :p

Anyone using GPS system? Can share the brand/model of a good portable GPS system (must be accurate and idiot proof) that can be kept away when not in use? Thinking of getting one for hubby as Xmas/anniversary present. Thanks.
