ah ger, hubby will only come back 2m. Think maybe we go Ikea 2m evening as nearer to our house then Wednesday go car showroom.

Just called HDB officer. So embarrass as this seems to be such a trivial matter. The officer was joking whether i am too strong to push the door too hard now cannot open. Anyway, she will get a technical officer to contact me later. I asked my house mate who is a guy to help open and he not able to open too. Now waiting for the technical guy to call me to arrange time to go down.
 


Doggy - I've already attached the updated Bb Prep list above w/ some of the pricing I found frm supermkts & dept stores. Then u c wat r the things u need/ hv/ no need to get & etc b4 u set off. Try to select a plc like I did - w/ a few shops/ stores u can go, so u dun need to do so much travelling. Eg @ Suntec maybe u can go Kiddy Palace/ Carrefour/ Mothercare & etc..........

Cherry - i din do research on breast pumps leh cos I m nt into tat yet cos dunno if I hv the supply or nt.

Sorry, I don't know how to get your children out of your bedroom. That's why we didn't want to have Sarah in our bedroom from the start. Mag, I should think that your kids are bigger now. Can't you reason with them to get out into their own room? Let them decorate the room and choose their own bed and bedsheet. Maybe they'll look forward to moving then? Gigg can also do the same?? Sarah chose her bedsheets. Manage to get cheap Barney, Hi-5, Winny the Pooh and Strawberry Shortcake bedsheets from the marketplace. $6.90 each single sheet only. She is always excited to sleep in her big bed and has practically forgotten about the cot now.

I saw the beansprout pillow selling at Baby's Kingdom at Kaki Bukit. How to ship back the cot from China? You can also visit Baby Hyperstore at Kaki Bukit to see the strollers and furniture. They have a good range, but some very ex branded stuff.

Why your shelter door cannot open? Is the handle stuck? Aiyoh if mine cannot open, then I cannot eat already. I store my rice, pasta and noodles in there!

Ah ger, c-section is still not that bad leh. I feel that mtb shd have an open mind for delivery option lor. Of cos, natural is the best but c-section is still not that bad. The most impt thing is to get bb out in the safest way. Btw, I still do massage after my c-section. So you gg to see gynae today? I got normal pads like Sofy but longer type. So that they wont be any stains lah.

cherryale, Avent stuff not compatible with other brands. Dun worry abt Robinsons sales, they always have it very often.
 
Cherry - just asked my coll. She said Avent breast pump can use Pigeon's cos Pigeon has a range the btl size abt the same as Avent. Bt usually all these will support back their own brands only.
 
cherryale, there wil be another robinson sale end of the yr. i went yesterday and bought medela mini electric breast pump,medela milk storage bottles, nuk milk bottles, pigeon disposable breast pad n wet tissue. there is no discount for all avent pdts and for pigeon pdts onli selected ones.
 
Talking about pads, does anyone know if the pharmacies sell witch hazel tucks? They are like thick tissue wipes soaked in witch hazel. They are great for after delivery if you have an epsiotomy and if your piles are swollen. In the States, I would put them in the fridge, and then when I changed my pad, I would put a couple of them into the pad. Wah... soothing. And we can also spray some water onto a regular pad, then put the pad in the fridge before using. Also soothing, but not as healing as witch hazel.

PVL - I dun like to make 1 trip then buy little bit of things, tats y must plan well b4 gng out. Tis is esp impt for those w/o tpt nw, &amp; dun wanna spend so much on cabbing ard. It's pretty tiring also.

I asked on Mothercare's sale, the auntie said dunno for hw long yet bt shld b quite some time.

Gig - I saw the process, the way they slit open the stomach then after tat putting the muscles back in then stitch it up. *puke* I felt so gross.

As for the pads - yeah my gf said buy the extra long type can le. I dun intend to buy alot also cos I m nt a sanitary napkin person. :p

Gig, I have the same worry as Ah ger, if baby's head is too big, will be difficult for natural birth and has no choice but to do c-section. But agree that we should have open mind.

Aiyah, I have been looking forward to buying all the baby's stuff during robinson sale and have been very diligent in opening mail box. Should have read newspaper instead. I am the kancheong type, like to buy everything then no need to think about it.

Peko, what made u choose the medela mini electric instead of avent manual? My coll also used medela pump and nuk milk bottles. She said its very good. How much is the breast pump after 20%?

Didnt log in last Fri..went shopping for baby stuff..went Kiddy Palace at Toa Payoh HDB hub n then to Suntec to get some maternity wear n went Mothercare..bought socks n baby suits cos they still having sale..n celebrated my 1st wedding anniversary..had romantic dinner at Esplanade..my hb too busy to take leave actually wanted to stay the night at a hotel..but well..maybe next time soon..cos I got another anniversary next month..which was the church wedding one..haha.

pekochan...I havent bought those stuff though..a fren jus gave me some baby bottles n a sterilizer.

Anyone thinking of buying the Moms in Mind sling or those Baby Bjorn type slings?
Im buying either one, not buying stroller yet..hopefully can get 2nd hand one..but I think the MIM sling is better if u want to bf outside.

Congrats on Yael's new-found mobility. Now you've got to start mopping the floor extra clean and maybe even start discipline. I remember having to implement some rules and limits when Sarah started crawling - kitchen out of bounds, no touching stereo/VCD player/TV, no touching dustbins etc.
 
Ah ger..Yael is only 6.5kg now he's almost 5months..he put on about 600g over a month..I also thot he may lose weight cos he drinks quite little too..I read that around 100g a week is good guide.
BUt babies this age shouldnt be losing weight.

How is A after the surgery? Looks like he's fine..since so active rite!

As for crawling, putting yr hands at his feet will help..jus continue to do tat n alot of tummy time with praises plus toys n you on the floor in front of them will encourage..soon off they'll go..but then will hav other worries like they will put in their mouth watever they see on the floor..Yael is kissing n licking the cold floor now..haha.
Oh must use bumper mat..if not they can still topple n bump their heads..im using the one from mini toons..was a gift so jus use first lah.

Charis - A is over 5mths lor, & is only 6.7kg. I dun really mind abt the wt, jus tat I tot since he used to drink alot, & nw dropped drastically, hw did he manage to maintain his wt??

Charis - aiyoh, tis boy arh, super active leh. Hb said maybe bcos he drank Delrosa which contains Vit C. Does it mean ppl who hv lots of Vit C is v energetic one?????

Then these fw days I changed his teats for water btl to #3, he doesn't wanna drink leh, seems to fast for him, & he gets choked. Bt for his milk #4 is ok. Bt I compared #3 variable flow one (a line cut & nt holes), like nt much diff leh. Hw cme???

I tried to put the attraction - my h/p he wanted to just grab bt can't end up yelling all the way. He wun lick bt will salivate.

Yest when we were having dinner, he was looking @ our food. Then mum commented he bo-ge, so cannot eat.

Mini toons has 2 sizes $49.99 & 109.99 I think. Then another one the edges w/ end trims, more exp, think 149.99??? Oh - whoever wanna buy maybe can tell me also cos I hv Mini Toons card - 15% off if I hear correctly.
 
so happy to see Yael is advancing to crawling.. I hope the bunnies at home will go back home soon so I can lay out mattress/ playmat for little Jeanette to start learning to crawl..

these few mornings, i always find QY sleeping on his stomach. must have flipped in his sleep and cannot flip back. either he cried for help and no-one rescued him or he gave up turning and fell back to sleep.

I find when sling baby for long my shoulder will start to ache. Really wonder can sling baby up to 15kg? my bb now 7.5kg I find heavy to sling her oredi... Also need some practice to sling bb comfortably, and for pouch sling must get the right size. Too big baby is like wanna drop, too small then bb not comfortable. And for pouch sling becos cannot adjust the length, cannot share wif hubby.

Charis, Y so fast, can crawl oredi. Congrats! Ya, gotta keep closer watch on him now especially u got a dog at home.

My Yunxi increase 1 kg per month lei... aiyoh, this fatty little gal...

Size is mother's size but doesnt really abide with the child's size it seems.

Think I shouldnt get like tat..or get a bigger size..use hubby for measurement.

smurfy..yup maisie is our family dog..not mine or hubby's ..basically the dog's sponsor is my older SIL n BIL, the owner is my younger SIL, the dog's nanny is my MIL..hahaha.
SHe always bark cos she's a guard dog..a lot of times startled Yael liao.

PVL, so u mean if you take dairy, Ben gets eczema? I actually only noticed that Beth used to get really gassy and distended if I took cow's milk but I don't think she had eczema until she took FM. I'm not really careful about avoiding dairy but I haven't taken any fresh milk for a few months. Personally I MISS MILK!!! Maybe I'll sneak in a cup and see if it really affects Beth..
