Am going to pack my hospital bag soon. I already got disposable panties...now need to get maternity and normal pads.

Baby bath/wash buy the J&J light yellow colour one...that one hospital is using for newborn. The bottle is smaller than the standard type and comes only in one size.

aquarius i can tell us wat to pack for the bag?? i m still blur.

i like J&J the blue colour bottle one... smells good.

Hi 'La-ma'!! (alethea).. ya have been trying to rest as much n brought my fren out for 1 day so the rest of the days mus rest.. Scared lah..

Heard from my fren tt wet wipes Avent de very good as thicker and bigger so no need use so many..

Icy- don wori we sama sama..i oso haven buy toilettries but will collate soon as i worry if i need to bed rest then jialat. But m v happy that I bgt my disposable panties, pyjamies and 1 pack of loop pads(for hospital) and 1 pack of pureen which the OG lady recommended. Only $7.80 for 20.. she say alot of pple use.. so wi just buy lah.. anyway, we need more than these right? 2nd time mummies?

I oso like zenn, saw so many brands of bb toilettries so want to ck with 2nd time mummies.. i saw 1 J&J top to toe wash like v good leh... 1 for all..

sugarbean, I only use the loop pads when in hospital and it's provided by hospital. Back at home I use the normal Kotex Sanitary pad without loop one. I also bought my pyjamas already...now I think left breastpads. Disposable panties I only buy 3 packs of maternity size disposable panties...cos may want to get normal disposable panties after 2 weeks...will ask hubby to get for me later on.

Zenn - Hi Zenn!
Oh loop pads are wat the hospital give u so no need wear panties but these pads are v cheap, only$1.50 per pack of 10 so beta to buy and bring there. Hospital charges more. So if u only use 1 they will jus charge u 1 pc..u can return the pack to the nurse. The pureen ones are special maternity pads.. i saw Kiddy Palace oso have, $7.75 per pack only.. cheaper than OG

Aqua - alamak! i bgt 5 packs of disp panties liao! I have habit of using only these when i have menses lah..

sugarbean...it's ok lah...disposable panties actually quite stretchable just that the maternity disposable panties I bought quite good material...won tear so easily so I thought first 2 weeks use that will be good especially with the massage and all.

Aqua, what brand of maternity disposable panties? So with these disposable panties, we still wear the loop pads provided by the hospital? Then when we reach home, can wear back our normal panties, but put KOTEX sanitary pads? Actually, why must buy disposable panties if we're wearing pads? I mean, the panties won't really get stained, right?

BB_milk, my orders! Mummies! tks for waiting for me!

sugarbean, paiseh Loop is the brand? Can get fm kiddy palace or robinson too?

btw, since loop pad is so convenient, we can continue to wear loop pad when homme n no need to buy Disposable Maternity Panties + Maternity Pads? -confused-

Aqua - ya.. i oso bought the beta quality ones.. otherwise ah.. when perspire or move too much, the panty tear.. i don have such small behind lah! haha!

Icy - got big one, if i can wear, u sure can.. i bgt from OG Orchard. Pureen is the brand of the maternity pads. I bgt mine from OG but saw KP cheaper. These panties oso v stretchy! I try to take pix and send u later.. ? Cos got a few brands leh..

Alethea - i heard flow is v heavy so i don like staining my panties ..oso easy to jus throw..of cos if u wear loop and no panties then no need disp panties lah..

zenn, no loop is the old fashion style pads which our mothers used. No sticky tape to stick to panties, just use a thin string or belt to tie so no need wear panties.. good for hospital or first few days after delivery as no need to worry abt balancing and putting our legs into the panties mah.. No, the brand is Kotex. NTUC got sell, $1.50 only.

Hey mummies, tell u 1 joke. My hospital roomate told me last time when she visited her fren at hospital when she delivered, she saw a new mom walking up n down the aisle with her whole ass showing as she din realise her gown is open at the back!!! haha!! So, mummies, if u want to go a walking, make sure your gown is those that overlap or wear something over..That lady is those with a big gape at the back! We laughed until I almost emptied my bladder! SHe told me tis s I told her i wanted to go n peep at the nursery but haven put on my bra so a bit paiseh can see nipple. She then said, why worry abt ur front, beta ck your back!! I said, i know, I have my back covered! haha!

Alethea...I bought the disposable maternity panties from Kiddy Palace. There are 2 types...one is $4.50 the other one is $4.90, I bought the more expensive one becos of the material. Reason why I wore disposable panties thru out confinement is becos I dun want anyone to wash my panties for me and staining still possible cos it will be heavy flow at least for the first one to two weeks. Erm actually if I remember correctly, the first day I din use panties cos after delivery got to rest in bed...so straight away put on loop pad then they will place those sheets under your buttock to avoid staining the bed. The second day then I start wearing the disposable panties and pad provided by hospital. If you dun like loop pads can just use the pads you have.

zenn/icy - ya.. but i oso bgt the paper one jus in case.. i bgt 2 brands. The other very stretchy.. ok, I need to go get somethin now, later when back i post k?

Chat later!

sugarbean...kekeke I also always tore the normal type of disposable panties so better to get good quality ones...else got to keep changing...kekeke

alethea du buy pants de.. very mah fan leh. i bought those whole piece de. better... easier to wear. i told sugarbean tat i went to John Little to get this brand cal Karmy.

Ya buy dress better. I also bought Karmy...you can get at OG, Metro, Isetan or JL. Range from 9.90 - 16.90 if I am not wrong...I got 2 or 3 pieces...I think I still have a new button-front pyjamas from sorella too. so enough already.

Hi,
I am also interested in the Little dreamer product. Can I joined in?
It had been a long time seen I last joined in this thread, is moving very fast...
I am now 25 weeks...

Panties: I'm thinking of using disposable ones too. But usually it's quite loose & little support, will it be able to hold those maternity pads well?

Hello Piscean and LY!
happy.gif

LY, I think it should be ok for you to join but must cap the nos. very soon cos' afraid that BB_Milk will have a tough time coordinating this BP for Jan mummies.

Aqua / Serrich, need to ask a silly qn - If my delivery happens to be C-sec, will I still experience blood flow from down there? Feel very stupid asking this cos' I think the answer is 'yes', but just cfming.

Sugarbean,
Tats a good joke! Spice up my day.. Really so funni!!

Re pyjamas:
I also recommend Karmy dress.. I bgt 2 dresses wf full front buttons. It's very comfy and convenient for breastfeeding moms..
Infact I brought it to the hospital and changed into my own dress once I am allowed to move ard so that it will be more convenient for me to breastfeed my bb. And for sure, I wont get into that kind of embarrassment tat Sugarbean just mentioned.. Hahahaha..

Re disposable panties:
For big-size moms, i would advise u to buy the cotton disposable panties from JL or Robinsons.. It's really very comfortable and stretch better. I have bgt the disposable ones from Watsons and Guardian before bt my thighs and butt too big so cant fit at all.. I ended up tearing it while trying to squeeze my butt in! Kekeke.. Funni rite?!

I'm keen to get some pdts fr. Little Dreamers too. Didn't use for 1st time & took my wound so long to recover.. This time, going to do more preparation. Heehee.

alethea, got ur email. thanks!!

btw i realised most mummy will recommend Braun ear thermometer. Is Braun good? Also, do we need to buy now cos when I went for TMC, was told for initial should not use ear thermometer?

Alethea, heard the flow might be lesser for caesarean.

Panties: I've used a type, very stretchy material (mesh like), cost approx. $3+. Found it good as very good support. Can wash & re-use like normal panty or throw after getting stain (but I washed & re-use lah).
