Jav turning 10 mths tomorrow.. time really flies. Last thur went to visit my colleague who jus giving birth in the hosiptal. seeing her bb remind mi of Jav when he jus a tiny bb. when i carried her bb, i feel abit like abit garang gapok. 4get how to carry newborn liao haha..

here's some recent foto of my boi. he getting skinnier nowsaday thou he eat quite alot. tink is due to his activeness.. everyday non stop even if he zzz, he will flip here n there.

zion, alot of our bbs are sleeping with fan/air con blowing at them..so u might wan to try and see if ethan is willing to sleep in the playpen with fan on? good that ethan can last so long with porridge, i am waiting for that day to come for kate!

ethan falling out? thats one of the reasons why i dunwan yaolan cos i rem my niece falling out very often.. u might wan to put those abc mat / mattress below the yaolan to cushion any fall.

starluster, maybe she wans to play? like kate will also refuse to take her nap if hb is around cos she knows that he will play with her. kate also small size (ok, pp will say cos she is premmie blah blah but look at nana's ryan!) but one thing good is that i stil can carry her to nanny's pl everyday instead of relying on stroller/carrier, hug hug time!

choo, good taht ivan is eating alot.... i am trying to figure out how to make kate eat more cos really difficult to cook 1/2 bowl each time! ahahaha

wah! so happy she called mama ya? mandy oso called some time ago, indiscriminately lah. thing is hor, i din feel v thrilled leh. i tink to me, bb's 1st words r overrated. hahaha... but i tink it's just me being weird. this morn, i left her room. e moment i stepped out n she called out 'mamaaaaa..... ma ma ma ma..." v pitifully... dunno if she is act calling me. but i oso bo hew!

ya, yaolan lotsa accidents one. both me n my sis fell out b4. according 2 KK website, yaolan n walker accidents make up q a bulk o all chdn's A&E. there r some cases where e screw on e ceiling loosen oso. if u haf to use yaolan, maybe u shld put a mattress under it, like wat bloom suggested.
er, y dun u wanna get a feeding chair 4 ethan? it's safer n better 4 him in e long run n it wld b much easier 4 e caregiver 2 feed oso.

ethan has already started eating 2 tsp of egg yolk... n he has been wearing L size diapers for almost 1 mth liao... have even bought XL to keep cos he going to outgrow L soon...

have u tried Nepia b4? hows its absorbancy? i tried so many brands... even momypoko cannot last more than 3-4 hrs...

he is ok now... but still moans a little when he is sleeping... other than dat, he is acting like nothing has happen...

ethan is already sleeping in air con + fan room... sometimes i even feel cold in the room... but the main reason y he dun wanna sleep in play pen is dat he cant sleep if he cannot see anyone... since i have already lower the playpen, he lagi cannot see me... he super highly lack of security wan... in the past when he sleeps in the playpen, he will cry plenty of times in the night cos he cannot see me... i will have to carry him n ensure him dat i m ard then he will sleep... cannot tahan a few nights like this since i have to work... i decided to co-sleep with him n since then he sleeps v soundly liao... wake up for feed only... even in my mil place when he sleeps in yao lan... he will make sure there is some one in the room b4 he really falls asleep... haiz... dunno when he can quit co-sleeping...

ethan dun sleep in yaolan when he was still a small bb... mil insist sleeping in yaolan can have better sleep... i beg to differ... he like addicted to the rocking motion liao... actually intend to get a high chair for him... but after dat incident think forget it liao... found another lower one but budget prob... got to postpone for a while... haiz... me too timid dunno how to protest to mil... but she really fierce wor... nobody dares to offend her...n if i really offend her then she dun wanna help me take care of ethan then how??? haiz...

Hello mummies

JT is finally back with me after with MIL for 4 consecutive days. She is extremely tired and grouchy... think she can't sleep well there during the day cos her place having upgrading so very noisy, and on top of tat, MIL will close all the windows (dusty), and dun on air-con... so hot how to sleep??

I din advertise the mooncakes here cos I can't cope with too many orders. My colleagues from my ex-company already ordered 20+ boxes, already made until I blur blur... last time my mum used to make mooncake for sale too... so I knew how to make mooncakes when I was 15 years old... hee hee... not tat easy lah... but with practise its ok lor...

and on top of tat, MIL kept grumbling tat she has to take care of JT... so I could only do half days then have to rush to go and get her back... When I told her I can't rush there on time, she still sarcastically said, why I accept so many orders, money cannot finish earning one.... sigh... I was rushing like crazy, even my dad said its her own granddaughter wat, take care for a while more also complain.... dunno whats wrong with her...

Last sun she still got the cheek to say to JT "tell mummy to give you a brother"... I just kept quiet and act blur.... she wants to play with babies lah... but ask her take care for 1 or 2 days more only she'll grumble like mad...really buay tahan... I feel like telling her, "then who help me take care?? you ah?"

Aiyo.. poor ethan. I think you really have to make sure ethan is in a safe environment. My philosophy is to ensure safe environment before all others... like there was a time where JT kept waking up at nite, I have friends and MIL who suggested co-sleeping as well.... I refused cos I think it's definitely safer for her to sleep in the cot, I'll rather suffer than to take the risk.. then after a month or so, she managed to sleep liao.. Why dun you let ethan sleep in the playpen, then you sleep on a mattress next to him so tat he can see you? I think it's definitely safer this way.
As for the yao lan, I think you need to be firm with your MIL.... Ethan is approaching 1 yo liao... if he doesn't kick the habit soon, it'll be even more difficult when he is a toddler.

As for the high chair, you have to buy the 5 point harness type, then he won't be able to climb out.

Not fake measles lah, Regina didn't have fever at all. Her rash finally went away today, whew. So all's well.

But hor.... her milk intake is scaring me. Second day she went on soy formula, she took 44oz in 24hrs. And here's the record since last evening... ahem...

9pm - 5oz
10pm - 4.5oz
12midnight - 4.5oz
2am - 4.75oz
5:30am - 4.25oz
8am - 5.5oz
10:30am - 6oz

So it's like 34oz in the last 14hrs.... think I'm going to call the GP and ask her about it. Hmmmm..... *scratch head*

Ha ha, ya lor, that's what I normally will do, but normally I do it in a nice natural way lah, slowly faking carry baby 1st, then slowly 'walk & shake' him into the room.

BUT How I WISHED, I can snatch baby away and STOMP right off... Right in their face... ha ha ha.. I wished lah, but say only,.. never dare to do. Hai!

Ya lor, every year also like that.. noisy ppl.. lastd yr, I was still pregnant, that time tolerate their nonsense on my EDD, what I can eat and not eat, my tummy round or pointed, even what I dress.. This time.. dunno what thing they will say liao.

Baby becomes bigger is good lah, but the diapers burn big hole in pocket. My boy was using L when he was bout 5-6mths. Had been using XL when he was 7+mths. Then nitetime or go out normally use pant diapers.. Yesterday just bought another 3 big packs of diapers and $55++ gone. Normally he use Nepia and Mamy poko. But Nepia increased the diaper from $14 to $15 also liao. So actually yesterday we also bought 2 packs of Sealer diapers. Anyone know whether it's good or not ah? Or any average brand for economical use? (Not pureen or fitti... cannot make it leh...)

glad that Ethan was ok. Denise oso will perform many stunts. Last wk, my dad went to kitchen to prepare her cereal, when he is back, she is out from her bumbo liao. Another incident, dad was washing his hand in toilet, she in the cot, there's a peg at the rail, she bend dw n try to reach almost falling off fr the cot. Dad had a big fright. Can't imagine she fall n her head bang exactly on the floor.......

I oso hate ple to say all those 'nonsense' abt my gal n make competative remarks. Not only have to close eyes, ears oso. There's this family member in in laws plc. Very irritating. Everytm when we r back she will wan to carry Denise.
Last wkn we went to cousin-in-law bb's manyue. She managed to carry Denise. (cos my gal don't want her daddy to carry if I'm present. When in-laws carry her, she oso cried) Then she told bil tat my gal likes her. Another ocassion is at in-laws plc, she din manage to carry Denise. Then she asked bil to try whether Denise let him carry! Arrghh wats her prob!
Now she preggy with no.2. I hope its a gal then she just leave my gal alone!

tough, I have not lower down the playpen compartment. now, tx sleeps in the playpen with fan blowing directly. but she will be covered with mosquito net (mosquito net cover since birth) so will be hot.

for me, I also bought 3 high chairs(one put at mum'plc, one at my hse and another one at mil's hse) from yahoo/ebay loh. all are within my budget, the most ex high chair cost $28 loh.before that, I used to feedback tx at her rocking chair. not quit conventient esp I need to carry the tray to place her cereal, water and ebm. now with the high chair, I can place those things on the table.

sometimes, giant do have promotion on high chair cost $39.90. it's the lucky bb brand.

oic, think boy grow faster at this stage loh. dunno why bb dun felt so cold even with fan blowing at them, i even have to put on the blanket loh and tx only sweat. ai-yo...

same like u, tx also dun sleep in yao lan till when i went bck to work during her 4mth. my mum also insist that it is better to rock them to sleep and yao lan more comfortable, not warm etc...

now, NTUC is having a promotion on Nepia diaper - 2 for $26.95. so can go and grab it.what's abt switching to pet pet (me never used before). see my information that i posted for diaper promotion at NTUC. the promotion end till 3/10.

tx is using NTUC and pureen brand. so far so gd, luckily, her bum not those golden bum. can use cheap brand on her. u want to try NTUC diaper but I only got L size one (have not opened yet, will be opened tml) and XL dryers?

same thing, tx also dun wan daddy to carry when I'm present. I have the similar problem as u but that was my mum instead of in laws.

NTUC brand gd but the only thing is it is very thick.same as tx, tx use NTUC and pureen(use at night before that) during day now but now switching her to huggies dry comfort at night cos huggies dry comfort($15.95 for 72+4 free L size diapers) got promotion at sheng siong so bought it for her to try.

haa..me always a supermarket 'auntie'(hate ppls call me but no choice already promoted to that and have to accept it unwillingly) market survey, must find the cheaper among the supermarket then can buy. haa... anyway, I enjoy this pt 'career' - marketing survey. all I have to do it read the straits times loh cos the following are the offered by supermarket:

1) Tues but not every tues(think only once a mth) - Sheng Siong
2) Wed - shop n save (if I dun remember wrongly if not it is thur)
3) Thur - NTUC and a small portion of giant advert
4) Fri - Giant and cold storage offer
5) Fri (loves this newspaper cos very thick with lot of offer) - Johnlittle, OG, robinson, bb fair etc...

u can hav a nice talk wif ur mil abt ethan sleeping in the yaolan. ur mil shld also know the danger sleeping in the yaolan since ethan had fallen from yaolan already. must also start to wean him off yaolan else it might become a habit for him. my jav used to sleep in yaolan but i trained him sleep on bed when he turned 6 mth.

u mentioned ehtan like to stand on/climb the stroller. Is he also like tat when u bring him go outside on his stroller?? mine hor.. headache.. nowsaday i bring him out kai kai on his stroller alone. he will get tired of sitting in e stroller n start doing his stunt, struggling off his safety belt, trying to stand up on his stroller. sometimes i afraid he might topple off, so hav to carry him wif 1 hand n pushing the stroller on another hand.. faint*** he used to love sitting in his stroller as long as we r outside kai kai.

there was once when my hub n i was browsing thru some shopping items. i tot my hub was keeping an eye on jav n my hub tot i was keeping an eye on jav. jav struggle off his seat belt n standing on the stroller n then he topple with the pram falling backwards. both my hub n i was so shocked. my jav still grabbing onto his stroller. i quickly carried him up. jav look abit of shock but was not hurt as the pram fall backwards. A sales lady was looking @ us. Tink she must b tinking y the parents soo careless. haha..

I told her he wun want one cos he doesn't recognise her, give him some time to get used 1st. Then she say want one. I tell her wun want. We go out v often...every Sat/Sun sure go out one...family day mah cos daddy weekday v busy. Only time with us is weekend. Then weekdays I also bring him out. Now every Fri he has class at kindermusik also.

Will just share details here lah but for her no hor, is it ok if I ask her first. I dun like to just give ppls number out without permission lor. Basically she does anything we ask her to do but I'm not those overly ma fan/strict ppl so her job scope is quite standard lor. Everytime she comes she will vacuum n mop floor. Damp wipe all open surfaces etc, wash toilet, basins, iron clothes. Then once a week she will wipe windows panes n mirror (my hse got lots of windows n mirrors lor). Then when ceiling fans r dirty she will wipe lor. She will also help me change bedsheets whenever I need her to. She charges $10/hr but hor sometimes she leaves early I won't care one lar cos sometimes she also works late mah. If u want she will also wipe babies toys for u etc but I m quite fussy I rather do those things myself lor. I check with her on Mon if she is willing to take on more ppl first ok cos I know she is quite full liao n she doesn't do weekends one.

brought mandy 2 kk 4 her follow up yest. which was a total waste o time n money. spent $30 on cab, $30 on consultation n all they did was take ht n wt, ask a few useless qn like "is she sitting up? can she pull 2 stand? wat is she eating? can she say mama/papa?" ya, these 4 qns nia. i asked 2 do e assessment in e health booklet she oso say no need. then use e scope listen listen a bit FINISH!

WASTE MY TIME!!!! HMPH!!!!! i dun wanna go already. go GP oso better. KK dun even bother 2 plot her measurements in e health booklet one. GP oso ask y lidat.

she is 6.65kg n 65cm at 10 mths. *faint* smaller than i expected. tink she might nt pass e 7kg mark when she turns one.

she is 8.4kg during her 9mth review. I think partly its my family genes for the big bum hee. I still remb my eldest niece had to wear L size when she is 4mth but this is oso bcos she is 9kg then

KKH cannot make it leh. Tt tm my colleague was sent there cos she fainted at hm due to menses cramp. Then the gynae only asked her hw she feel,check blood pressure n give pain killer. Sm more she pay $60 consultation fee. My gynae senior gynae in Mt E oso charge $60 leh. When she went to Raffless medical for 2nd opinion, the gynae oso shake head.

Nebermind...ger ger big bum bum is good. Ewan is slightly heavier at 8.8kg nia. Think usually their cleaning scope is quite standard but guess she is quite willing to accomodate any specific needs you have as long as they are not too extreme. Usually each session shd be at least 3hrs cos they hv to pay for transportation cost to your place else bo hua for them. If you only use her once a week n hv quite alot to do why not make each session 4hrs. She comes to my place twice a week for 3hrs each time.

Wow, R drinks A LOT!!! So good...what brand of soy milk formula is that? I feel like buying for Annette leh. Cos she is such a teeny weeny eater....only 4oz every 3-4 hours, sigh. Regina is now on Isomil 2. I tried to re-introduce normal fm 2 nights ago, and she threw up the whole 6oz after 20min. So we're back to soy formula for a while more... I don't dare rush her anymore. Anyway, she seems to drink a lot more now (yesterday broke her own record, 46 oz!!). Only problem is her poo... nowadays more dry and she cries when she poo poos.

Based on the suggested feeding schedule, soy and normal fm should be the same, not any less filling.

Today had my boy's 9mth assessment. Ewan is underweight at 8.9kg but above average height at 74cm. Head circumference as usual lah smaller than average

But over all growing very well n Dr was v happy. We spent some time discussing abt MMR n whether to delay. Think I will just let him hv the shot at 12mths instead of delaying as I had originally intended. Dr was saying that if the child is autistic shd see some signs by now...usually they don't respond to parents at all. Whereas E is very responsive to ppl so the risk is quite low.

(*^(*&^ wait from 1715hr - 1800hr. the bus supposed to come at 1735hr but delay till 1800hr. so reach mum'plc at 1800hr. during the waiting of the bus, luckily tx slept and only woke up when we boarded the bus. it is her dinner time liao, luckily she did not fuss (her last feed is at 1330hr where she has only has 120ml ebm and an apple only). wow, she is so hungry that she finished her 1 whole rice bowl of porriage within 5 mins.

how come dun go to polyclinic for 9mth assessment? polyclinic free loh..... some more those jab and checkup listed on the healthbook are done free at polyclinic. I usually booked the earliest appt or the last appt. polyclinic has its own bb doc and nursing 'dept' so bb are not mixed with other sick patient.
I dun wait for a long time, the longest waiting time is only 10 mins.

I got a frenz who bb also a premature bb, her bb only weight 6.6kg at 1 yr + (see more 'jialat' right??). fr the look of mandy's photo, mandy is chubby liao, at least I can say she is chubby than tx. cheers....

Brought Ivan back to PIL hse n my parents hse yestersday...he dun want anyone to carry him!! even his fav ye ye!! he just want to be stick to me 24/7..when MIL tried carry him,he turned his whole body towards me die die dun want her carry..hehe so happy !

MMR jab can be given anytime b4 5yrs. think govt will chase u if u hvn't given ur bb d the shot after 5 yrs old. usually dr's give d shot at 12mths. but bcos of autism scare ppl delay the shot till abt 2 yrs.

personally i dun think mmr causes autism but of cos if my bb looks like he might b autistic then i wldn't want to give him the shot. otherwise i'd hv this doubt in my mind if he eventually does develop autism. i think most autistic bb's wld start to show some signs v early on, just tat the caregiver somehow din notice or dun know how to interpret these signs. anyway everyone has to make the best decision for their own child. now UK got measles outbreak leh. guess more dangerous there cos more ppl dun give their child mmr whereas her in SG if u dun give, u will b the odd one out.

Dunno if she has hit the 8kg mark or not....

Oh... and JT is finally eating again!!! Yipee!! Although she still needs to play with something while eating, but at least she is opening her mouth!! So happy!! And she is accepting porridge now... just started her with fish over the weekend, looks like no eczema outbreak... keeping my fingers crossed!!

Forgot to mention, please make sure that you cook the egg yolk thoroughly... it's ok if its a bit too hard... just mash then add water or milk... if eggs are not cooked properly, very easy to get salmonella and dunno what else (LiL, SH, please advise!!)

e last doc hor wanted 2 set an appt 4 2 mths later. i told her tt's when e jab will b n i'm gonna let her do 9 mth asses (GP said it's better 2 do at 1 yr old since she's premmie.) then oso. u noe wat e stupid doc said? "it's ok, i won't schedule e 2 at e same day" SIAO IS IT??? y wld i wanna do 2 evaluations in e same mth??? so i told her no, n asked her 2 schedule one for 4 mths later, which i'm NOT gonna go. hahahaha... stupid kk, just wanna earn money nia.
