hugz. me oso cried a few times... but hor its becoz bb dont want me (esp at nite when she wanna zzz). i feel like a useless mummy lor, baby dont wanna own mummy lei. tats why i see u all say baby looking for mummy, baby searching for mummy... feel very sim tia tat for my case, my gal look n search for my mum. the feeling of kana rejected by own baby very painful oso u know. though i know, baby too sticky oso very hard for mummy to do anything. hmm.. both case oso headache hor.

my gal still botak, bo geh, & cannot sit or stand on her own yet.. only can crawl abit, but sometimes she gancheong to get somewhere she will kinda lurch forward and fall on her chest.

U are a poly lecturer ar. which poly u at & what subject u teach?? aiooo ur students can ask u stupid qns ar?? last time when i study in poly also never come across such stupid qn. somemore i take elctronics course, go lab hor to assemble wires until LED lights up. no light up hv to troubleshoot or add & add until lit up. then after that also clear my own wiring what. cant be ask teacher plug out one by one for us...

wow very sudden decision. maybe u are just too stress now.. cos u are a SAHM mom mah. then during confinement mth until 3mths ivan was colicky & crying non stop so makes u more fed up etc.. but very fast mah. all this passed liao mah. now is worrying abt his feeding mah. dun worri. Selinna also pui out her cereal at 1st. but i wait until her mouth open big big then slot in the spoon then sort of lift up to let her upper lid lick all the food inside her mouth. so all food go in. then porridge also lidat. somemore porridge cook until very soft so chew 1-2mouthful aldy in her throat & stomachh liao. she even will "scold" me when i feed her slow u knw. this need time to adapt cos they are used to sucking for 6mths mah. suddenly u introduce smth to let them chew & swallow.. they nid time.
Aiyooo after birth then become plump is not ur fault what. also not a sin mah. dun worry lar. big size pple can also work what.. sori ar. i dun mean to offend anyone. i also fat fat mah. all clothings still L Sz or bigger. last time oni M sz leh.. so now all M sz clothings all still in luggage. then i now keep buying & buying new clothings. maybe give myself reason cos i am gg to new job lor.

Ewan sooo cute & curious in his cot. his 2 teeth also very obvious leh. my gal still havent come out teeth leh. but she love to put her fingers in her mouth to bite. isit their gums are itchy when teething?? i buy her rattle but she dun want to bite leh. bite all those hard hard thing like cot wooden rails, toys, etc.

BTW Choo, I agree with Jackie completely. Ur emotional well being is much more important. I c u always so unhappy I also feel sim tia for u. Ivan will do just as well on FM n u already bf more than 6mths liao. Somemore if ur r bad mummy I m worse cos even tho I m SAHM I stopped bfing after 3mths nia. But was so tired n after stopped liao my quality of life in general (including time spent wif bb) improved several notches. Just do wat is best 4 u ok.

Bumper not hot lah cos I got ceiling fan mah n I also on aircon for E otherwise he gets heat rashes. But I agree that cot bumpers can b unsafe for bbs now cos E also try to climb using bumper

But no choice lor cos he so gong gong one...keep banging here n there.

Ehh...tat say some mummy ask me how much I bot E's wetsuit for har. I forgot to answer leh. Bot for $50 something can't remember liao. Not cheap ya. N ya...the padded one I got is the smallest n can fit E quite well with some extra space for him to grow into it.

ur mom is ur bb caregiver ar?? i knw the feeling of being rejected by bb. cos i also experence it. she prefer my hb to me most of the time if my hb come to play with her. then got 1 day Sun night.. she totoally dun want daddy. touch her , carry her also cannot. cry very loud. then my hb is angry & sad.. say bb dun want him liao.. he also dun want bb liao. haha but nxt day also forget play with her again.

choo, ivan is so adorable! his teeth already out liao! see he's so strong to stand up in the cot too! well, like everyone says, if its happier and less stressful for you to stop bf, then just go ahead. bbs can be quite adaptable, dun worry. if ivan refuse the bottle now, he'll eventually take it when he's hungry. you can start your exercise regime soon!

Jen, i go jogging at 10.30 or 11.00 after the kids sleep. its abt the only time i have to myself. sometimes dun jog stil go downstairs to walk. ay, yup, i just leave the kids alone in the house. of course my maid sleeps in the other room tho not sure if she'll hear if any of the kids cry....

starluster, dun worry too much, its a passing phase. bb will eventually know their mama and then will stick to mama only. bear with her for a while. my gal only wanted me from abt 15 mths onwards. b4 tat, she only sticks to my mum.

choo u have already done a very good to tong for 6 months...if u r sick cos not enuf time to exercise, ask hb to take over..or put ivan on stroller and push him around the neighbourhood...if u r sick cos ivan still cries when u pump, and u worry abt ss etc then u might want to consider stopping... hehehe.ur hb becomes lil and ewan stalker ahahaha ...we got the same pooh bumper !

kimi, is ur house very quiet? maybe she is used to the quietness... like last time after kate comes from scn she can sleep thru antyhing..but now any noise and she will wake up.

my mil also like to fill up the sink wif water n put the milk bottle to soak n wash. I hav a container to soak n wash the milk bottles but she dun use. *faint* Yesterday she was letting my boi eat the bb biscuit. Jav drop the biscuit on the floor. she pick it out n let him eat. *OMG* she doing it infront of mi lor. She is veri jialat one. If we tell her not to do it, she can get offended n start to babbering all her unhappiness. N say she dun like us to handle jav tis way or tat way. Shi Hui, she is driving mi crazy wif all her nosense.

Tat time she tell jav infront of us tat papa, mama dun wan him liao. ma ma (grandma) will take care of jav. ma ma (grandma) will love jav. I already buay siong her liao.. then my stupid hub told mi y i so petty? get angry wif such small matter. Think i going crazy sooner or later..
so regret last time shld not agree to let her take care of jav. put in infant care better.

actually, i am planning to feed Meg fresh goats milk after she is 2 yrs old.

my fren told me tat it strenghten her 2 child's immune system. her 2 gers are always sick, once change to goats milk, they hardly fall ill.

juz a suggestion, get your MIL a plastic container for all the teats and bottles. instead of placing it in the basin before she wash, tell her to place it into tat container.
at least the container is oil free.

old ppl are lidat de. infront of their son always act open minded.
dun know why our hb can be fooled so easily.....my MIL also insisted tat she is open to constructive feedback.

my ass!!! she will always have 1001 reason to cover up her act.

Yes, I set up play yard last nite, but hor, the room my MIL hv for her yard is small due to other furniture, can only do 4 panels.

My MIL say she'll move the furniture around. I dare not put her in living room cos my SIL hv a cat in the house...

aiyoh, Hannah chor lor, so I get her the helmet. Yesterday, she stand up in her cot to walk holding on to the railings and I was so impressed by her...then, after walking like 3/4 way around, she got distracted by a toy, fell over on the cot and miss the cot bumpers, bang her head on the railing and cry...

looks like she's gonna be clumsy like her mummy! my hb actually dun want me to buy helmet say that bang head will teach her a lesson abt being careful...but then, i dun think hannah learn any lesson leh! bbs exploring sure a bit clumsy lor...

I was thinking of opening up the activity walker my mum bot her since she likes to try walking now...but i scared she fall and bang head...i guess it's a good time to test the helmet's effectiveness! hahaha!
But aiyoh, now i hv a lot of barang to bring from my MIL to my hse over the weekends and back!

Hannah love to stand up in the bath tub and it's so dangerous, so we put her in a bath seat. Sometimes i wonder if i shd get 2 sets of stuff (which is too expensive) or lug everything...

shihui & bloom, yes, soy milk dun taste good compared to goat's milk. for goat's milk, as long as its not room temp, meaning cold or warm, its ok.

shihui, well, mums and mils are the same. they have their pattern for doing certain things. if you say them, they'll say that they bring up so many kids the same way b4, and they all turned out fine. i close 2 eyes as long as the bb no bruises or sick, guess, its ok lor. even say so much liao behind yr back they will still do their way one la.

Hahah...as they grow older n more mobile got more to worry abt hor. Aiyo...Hannah looks so adorable in the no bump hat...looks like she is wearing a turban like tat

I also wanted to get then kena scolded by my mum say I siao got no where to spend $$$

As for problem solving hor, I just do simple stuff only lah not the complicated maths sums. And so far for dot cards I only do the small numbers nia. I notice recently Ewan can understand some things we say cos when we ask him where's Elmo he will look up onto the shelf where we let his Elmo sit. So I just show him 2 dot cards or 2 word cards (of course those u hv shown b4) n ask him which one is 2 or which one says pear etc... When he is in a good mood he will actually reach out to touch 1 card. Initially I was just playing only lar cos I thot he wun know one lar. Then he manage to pick correctly abt 90% of the time leh. Initially my mum say aiya fluke only lar. But after she witnessed a few times liao she is now convinced he does know. But sometimes he is in a noti mood he just wants to play play, want to grab all cards. Can tell cos he wun bother to look at the words on the cards he will just lunge towards both cards n want to rip them up

When that happens I sit him down again then just read the cards to him one by one then let him touch the words. Think at this stage they like to touch the cards so just let them n it seems to keep E interested. FYI...Lawrence also suggested tat we start making books consisting of single words (those flashed b4) with associated pictures (the books r just white cards held together with ring binders) for them to play with. Then for those words where u can show the real stuff, show Hannah the real thing lor n can let her touch. Can also make a book for Hannah's 1st BD

Oh ya...forgot to add. U prob already know this but if Hannah pick the wrong card dun say NO or WRONG etc. Must remember it is not to test them hor. Wat I do is I just smile happily n read each card out to E. Then as usual will say well done well done n cuddle cuddle him. Happy playing with Hannah

Mil can be very irritating. My mil used to look after my baby sometimes but finally I realised that letting her and her maid look after gave me more stress than when I put her in infant care. I was getting stressed about the maid's hygiene level, whether they'd feed my BM, etc. I'd get very irritated when she tells me reasons like the maid thought there's no BM in the fridge, she forgot the time so baby was screaming in hunger and they had to give formula...it's very difficult to express my displeasure diplomatically.
I feel much more at ease putting baby in infant care which I told them I wanted to do right from the start. So that's where my baby is and we're all happy.
I still get crap sometimes from fil and/or mil and/or 'well meaning aunties' from hubby's side. But at least it's not on a regular basis.

thanks! *muak* ya, will remember. actually at the BJG, they do this "photographic memory" thingy - flash pic A then put behind back and flash A & B together (card B hvg very similar pic just maybe 1 dot extra) and then see which pic bb pick. usually the teacher just see which pic bb is looking at. If wrong card, they just say "good try" and put the correct one closer and say "this one". But like u say, abt 90% of time, all the bbs pick correct card.
I'll try the problem solving with hannah. Thanks. Just want to add variety to her learning...cos as she gets older, more toys etc distracting her...
My MIL oso say hannah knows her Eeyore, Pooh and what "no no" means...but i dun really witness it la cos i not home...
I oso sometimes kena scolded anyhow spend money...

it's hard for me to draw a line between neccesary and not neccesary sometimes... haiz! but i think bumper playmat, haenim playyard will be worthwhile buys. Helmet - only time will tell. More for our peace of mind then anything cos i oso believe bbs are quite hardy...

Interesting this photographic memory thingy. They just show pic A, then show A & B together n let them choose without saying anything 2 bb? Ya it's amazing how fast they learn. I also dunno when but it seems one day E suddenly can understand wat we say. My mum ask him where's mummy he will look towards me n he does the same when I ask him where's Ah Mah. Again poor daddy suffering cos he doesn't spend much time with E, E acts so gao towards him. Ask him where's daddy he pretends he didn't hear anything

E also understand no no, cos he will stop when I say that but then after a few minutes pause he will repeat action again. Noti boy. Then when we smack his hand or buttocks he will growl at us. Noti ya.

Ya bbs usually start teething fr 5-6mths onwards...process will go on for ages as their teeth pops out one by one sloooowwwlllyyy. Some bbs earlier some later lor. Jackie's Jovey 4mths got 2 front teeth liao. My boy's 2 front teeth just appeared recently after he turned 6mths.

didn't talk to u on the dark side for so long! how r u? made knocks her head occasionally in the mornings, when she tries to flip to her tummy, n calls us fr above the rails. she only knocks on the rails when she's still a bit sleepy, but otherwise, she knows that she shouldn't knock into rails cos it can be painful. she doesn't spend much time in the cot though n she cannot pull herself up to stand yet. ur idea of decorating the play yard is very good!

hannah looks so cute in the hat. remembered u were asking abt bb einstein dvd. hv u shown a sample to hannah b4? madeleine doesn't like the dvd at all. n since it's such a hefty investment, i think it's worthwhile to check if hannah likes it first b4 u invest in a set. it's not cheap. n if u do decide to buy the entire set, it's cheaper fr US ebay.

madeleine doesn't sit still too. the nurses in kkh either calls her a worm or a big bully, cos she just doesn't sit still. but i think she's like that only at home n in kkh, where she's so super familiar. she's now very good at giving commands. if she wants to go left to see something, she will bend her whole body left n stretch her arms over her head in that direction like superman. when u reach the thing she wants, she will suddenly sit up straight again. madeleine can identify the people in the house too. she also knows the names of some objects in the house, like keys n lights.

I put him in bumbo or in cot...once i step out just for a while he started wailing...n its those cry till face red red tears splashing one!!buay tahan!!!

i did put him in bumbo n near me when i was doing chores..bt a while later he felt tired n started making noise..i cant even go toilet in peace...

then when i quickly go attend to him..he saw me ...crying stop immediately...then smile..n start his babbling!!! u see !!!

Eh... who is selling the play yard panels at $60 for 2 huh? The new set is only $110 for 4 leh!!! I realised I really do need 6 panels, cos JT won't stay in the 4 panels for long. When I open it up, she can stay in there much longer. THink she feels claustrophobic. So now I'm like you, just that the other side is the wall, not boxes. If you find some cheap lobangs on the panels, I can share with you ok?

So I was right!! Ewan is really a potential president's scholar. JT is still blur blur as usual. The only thing that she seems to know is makan time... she'll sit quietly on her highchair once I put the bib on her.. cos she is looking forward to her food!

I think it's quite difficult to complain abt a doc in Singapore unless it's really a very serious (ie death or permanent damage), or things like subutex.... last time my mum was misdiagnosed for her cancer, such that when she was finally diagnosed, already stage 3b liao... means no hope le..... we wanted to complain abt the doc also, but we were made to run around like a headless chicken, and because we were so busy with my mum's illness, we decided not to pursue further on the advice of my lawyer friend. Somehow I have a feeling that they purposely make it extremely difficult for us to complain, such that most pple won't have the energy to pursue it
