e one i got is roomba red. it's nt sold here. we ordered thru e net. it costs $300 inclding shipping. v cheap n worth it. scooba costs $600 inclding shipping. e roomba red is e lowest model i tink, cannot auto go bk 2 e charge itself, clear its own bin etc. but i dun need those functions. can vacuum can liao!

We took hannah to JG to play had lunch at Hardrock Cafe where she played "madly" with the balloon they gave her, bobbing it here and there. So funny!
Oso took her to MyGym for freeplay session on another day. All these to let out her energy!

I dun know what accussations were in whichever blog, but on this thread, we just focus on discussing mummy/baby and related stuff and support each other in times of "crisis". Erm, who we order watever from is own decision/preference. Even recommendations on things like baby class, restaurants, etc etc is also ultimately up to own pref. To each his own. Dun take it to heart.

These few days in a happier mood cos hubby is back
Finally get to eat dinner in peace
Hubby going to US again for 3 weeks end of Nov... he asked me and JT to follow him cos he can get a service apartment.... but hor I think of feeding JT on the 28hr flight I want to faint liao....cos she still needs to keep playing and throwing things then she'll eat ....and not to mention got to bring so many things with us.... but if 3 weeks without him again I'll be super sian also... HOW HOW HOW?? Dilemma leh
Wah the mygym sounds fun!! But if I go for tat, go for Kimi's playgroup... I'll be pok gai leh.... hmm....

Was just discussing with hb abt JT's birthday... since he will only come back 2 weeks b4 her birthday, we decided no big birthday bash for her... instead we will opt for just immediate family on both sides... just 10 adults only.... we're thinking maybe have buffet at The Melt at Oriental Hotel... actually was thinking of The Line at Shangri-La, but think that's really ex leh... and hor cos JT is NY's eve, think prices will be very high... this girl hor... why choose this type of date to come out Anyone has any suggestions for nice hotel buffet?

eh, we use clorox lor, e 'scooba juice' as they call it. u read hardware zone too. they do gif some suggestions as to wat can b used rite? hubby tried vinegar b4 but tot it's v smelly so stopped. act, i dun like scooba so much. takes v long n noisy. we only use it 4 e kitchen, v clean.

regarding bb 1st birthday... me really between north n south pole.
in the forum.... there's plenty of discussion/spree for the caterer, the deco, the cake, etc. baby's birthday is of high importance, and most ppl are pretty excited about it.
in my workplace, my 2 teammates 'celebrated' their babies' 1st bday by doing almost nothing! they didnt even take leave on their bb's bday coz in their words "the baby won't remember anyway". ??!?! one of them is male (so perhaps guys are less bothered by such things), but the lady?!??! both oso first baby lei.. so its not as if they are already numb to such things. when i asked her... arent u gg to at least buy a cake n take some pix for remembrance? she was like.. hmm.. ya hor.. maybe just go n buy a small cake. didnt follow up with her whether she did that anot. but then most certainly no fun to discuss with them such things lor.. since to them its like a no event kinda thing.. and if i start to plan it will be me just being kua zhang, when actually in forum world.. i am considered quite bochup liao. hehe... such a great disparity hor?
btw.... can our baby eat their own 1st year birthday cake? coz me wondering if they can't eat.. then i order those fancy types.. if they can, maybe just plain butter cake...

For me, I take it as opportunity for everyone to celebrate together cos so many of our relatives and friends have showered so much love on hannah. So, just hv a party lor. Else I think some of them will be "sad" they didn't get to celebrate hannah's bd with us!
I've ordered a cake from Pine Gardens for photo-op (heehee!) and for everyone to enjoy and will be baking a separate "healthier" small cake that hannah can enjoy. In all honesty, the party is more for everyone else to enjoy! For Hannah, i'll try to prevent her from getting over-stimulated on that day. And I dun think we'll be celebrating her subsequent birthdays in such a big way...till her 16th? or 21st??

meg's nanny called out of the blue and inform me tat she want to bbsit another bb (even tho' the contract stated she cannot).
she claimed tat she is very free (since meg hardly go over!).
i am very pissed with her le!!!

Thanks for organising the playgroup. Jav had fun at the gym thot he not veri interested paritipated in the group. Keep grabbing my hand to walk around the area. Plus he too sticky to mi. The moment the teacher wanna to carry him to do the activity in some station, he will get yang ow n crying for mi. Sigh.. the older he is, the more sticky n yang ow he gets. He used to b friendly to strangers. Now even if he sees my brother-in-law, he will hold my hand tightly n stare hard @ him. If i leave him alone wif my brother-in-law, he will start crying pitifully. Is sophia still waking up for nite feeds? Ur mum v good hor, do niteshift for u. Ur mum staying with u rite? My mum hor...right from the word go already told me she is not gonna sleep with bb. Hahahah...so me doing nite shift all along. Even hb also always Zzzzz thru right frm the beginning. Until one nite during confinement, bb was crying non-stop (hb was still Zzzz thru the noise) I got so angry I woke him up to scold him. Anyway...now I hv serious dark eye circles. But there is some improvement...now E only wakes up for 1 feed at abt 4am.
BTW, I will definitely let E taste some of his BD cake...anyway will be baking it myself.

It's quite funny, hannah is the same, less receptive to strangers since she started recognising pple. But at church, there are a lot of frens/aunties who love to carry her. They try all sorts of tactics: wearing necklace (she is attracted to them), earrings, other bling bling, etc. Some of them even develop this tactic of just approaching her from the back and "grabbing" her cos when they approach by the front, she can see them and turn away. haha! After that, they distract her with balloons, toys, etc. If Hannah's in a good mood, she usually lets them carry her for a while.
I think, with practise, our bbs will get braver.

Personally I would feel insecure leaving my child with a maid if there isn't any family member there to supervise. If the babysitter has been quite good with Meg all this while, n she is only taking on another older child who doesn't need much supervision then why not continue to leave Meg there. Afterall she looked after Meg since young so there is alot of affection there.

Hahhaa... my mum was a tigress when she was younger. Just one look nia all the kids guai guai liao. Tat's why she can handle so many at the same time. But think with kids nowadays more difficult. She also admitted tat E is so much more active than the kids she looked after last time.
