Alamak! When I decided to participate in the Food Diary, i really was just expecting to send in the Food Diary, have some nutritionist analyse my food intake and then email me a report or something.
What I DID NOT expect was to be required to meet the pple at Raffles Hospital, have photo taken and be in the papers! I really dun want to publicise my weight to the world. But by then, it was too late and I felt too paiseh to turn them down. You know, i even tried delay tactic hoping they will just get enough stories and forget me. I delayed the meeting at Raffles Hospital for 3 weeks! But in the end, cannot run...
And then now, see my fat face on papers...*groan*. worse, apparently, yesterday my fat face appeared too...my frens sms me.
I didn't even know! now everybody know my weight hor...

Hi-5, I finally found someone who gained as much wt as me during preggie wahahaha
and haven't lost it completely too... I TBF ok... still got abt 3 kg to go... stuck there for the past 7 mths liao
The food at that buffet is ok lah... it's like wat you get at those teochew porridge stalls outside lor... its good if you like teochew porridge and you like variety and you have very few pple, cos outside you can't possible order so many dishes for just 2 pax mah..... I would say value for money....of cos the quality of food cannot be compared with those hotel buffet lah cos the price also poles apart

yah, she slept for >2hrs! She slept in the car on the way from orchard to suntec, when we moved her to the stroller, she continued sleeping!! We had to wake her up at 1.45pm to have her lunch!! if not she'll probably be able to sleep for 3hrs I think! She missed her morning nap totally mah... and so much exciting activities made her so tired hehehe
By the way haven't thank you for making the arrangement, JT enjoyed herself very much, much more than Gymboree... except very difficult to find "cheap" parking there
My hand is ok liao... minor scratch nia... but hubby was appalled that I fell with JT in my arms... he banned me from wearing that pair of shoes again

hai...have been not feeling well these few days so slp early at 10pm++ after pumping once I reached home fr mum'plc. I have reduced my 'mooing' task to 3 times liao and won't be 'mooing' it at my mum'plc so tat I can spend more time wif tx. but seem like mum is getting more possessive and stubbon nowsdays. posssessive in the sense that she wanted to keep on holding on to tx. tx only wail a bit, mum will grab her fr me and also keep on playing with her when I was talking and teaching tx something. so pissed off. on sun, when we took tx to bb contest near my mum'plc. mum tagged along, talking non-stop all the way and when tx wail bec she wanted to slp, she will say tx only want to look for her etc. hai...
I 'm also been busy too doing the tx' s new website bit by bit too.gg to sort out her photos and sent for develop soon as I intended to do her first yr ablum, hopefully, i can finish by her birthday.

i very very upset n pissed....
i have been battling with ivan's sleeping pattern from birth till now..i dun know why but he is just not a good sleeper..remember when he was 2mth plus he didnt nap whole day!! i was so frustrated then...think 4 to 6mths he was ok...can nap 2hr 2times a day...recently he didnt sleep well for day nap n in turn affect night sleep...for nap time i nursed him to sleep...but sometime 15mins he woke up liao...i dun know how he can grow well with such little sleep..i am really at my wits end...now at my mum hse..my dad saw me about to scream..asked me to cool down say dun nap never mind!! of cos it is easier for him to say cos he is not the main caregiver! if ivan doesnt nap well in the day he will become cranky n night time wake up several times...n i am stopping bf next mth so i dun want use breasts as a 'weapon' to make him sleep..but he is still so attached to bf....i cant wait to stop...

Good to hear tat u r now spending more time with tx. Give ur mum some time to adjust her thoughts, emotions n to let go. Think abt it...she has been looking after bb tx practically 24/7 since newborn so of course she has developed very strong attachments to her. So now that u r suddenly spending more time with bb tx, it's only natural that she's scared she won't be tx's favourite anymore and prob even feels abit jealous. She needs time to recall that she is only grandmother to tx while U r the mother.

Usually this prob starts frm newborn n their sleep improve when they grow older. That's what my PD told me n this is certainly is true for E. He hardly slept in the day n woke up countless times at night frm newborn to abt 6mths. Nowadays much better liao altho still not a good sleeper. Maybe there is something else tat's disturbing his sleep at nite...could he be suffering from sleep apnea etc.
With regards to follow on milk...personally I would give FM cos that is specially formulated for growing human babies. To me UHT or fresh milk is only suitable once the child is eating well ie. three proper meals a day n can get all the nutrients they need from tat.

Guess all mommies busy preparing for upcoming bday party for their prince & princess. I'm now also busy preparing hayley's bday party. Her deco items have arrived, cake/buffet have been book & cfm. Now waiting to finalise my guest list. Now see if there is any way to clear our untidy guest room which has become our storeroom. Hoping to clear that and let it become a baby room for hayley's friends to play inside during her party.

I going to let mine try some cow milk after she turns one, to see if she got any allergy. So next time even more easiy to bring her out as can grab a packet of milk in the event she is hungry.

Dun be sad... i think cannot use nursing liao bah. no use for ivan now. if my gal dun slp she sure get beating from me one. I most hate when I want to slp & she dun slp. she sure get whacked by me. I rem when she is like 2-3mths old, she wakeup in the middle of the nite to cry & dun slp. i got so pissed. bring her nxt door to avoid disturbing my hb. give her milk dun want, nurse her dun want, bring her to windows & see outside she keep quiet. sit down oni cry. so angry until i slap her thighs hard & pinch her tongue. Soooo pissed. other things make me angry i OK, but if i nid to slp & she dun slp she sure no good life liao. haha.
for me now, my gal in the morning, wakeup i will feed her milk, then bathe her, then feed her abit porridge + abit milk to force her to slp. she will go slp abt 12-1. at my sis hse she can slp 5hrs. (i got a big shocked- is my gal still breathing???). then go my mom hse slp 3hrs at 1 go. but both ON aircon for her to slp lar.then afternoon wakeup play again, then 4pm onwards i force her to slp again. haha. then i can do hsework or cook mah. i dun air con for her one. oni at nite. then now night pattern, she usually used to nap from 8-9pm, but now NOT AT ALL. ok. i am fine with it. bring her to kai kai make her eyes be tired, then 10pm onwards she start to rub eyes, i am happi. faster make milk for her to slp. she hold the btl herself then after finish take up throw to me then turn her body slp until 7-9am nxt day. slowly train Ivan his sleeping pattern. else u bring him to go outside kai kai lor. go yew tee shop lor. make him become tired.

I rem when she is like 2-3mths old, she wakeup in the middle of the nite to cry & dun slp. i got so pissed. bring her nxt door to avoid disturbing my hb. give her milk dun want, nurse her dun want, bring her to windows & see outside she keep quiet. sit down oni cry. so angry until i slap her thighs hard & pinch her tongue. Soooo pissed. other things make me angry i OK, but if i nid to slp & she dun slp she sure no good life liao. haha.
for me now, my gal in the morning, wakeup i will feed her milk, then bathe her, then feed her abit porridge + abit milk to force her to slp. she will go slp abt 12-1. at my sis hse she can slp 5hrs. (i got a big shocked- is my gal still breathing???). then go my mom hse slp 3hrs at 1 go. but both ON aircon for her to slp lar.then afternoon wakeup play again, then 4pm onwards i force her to slp again. haha. then i can do hsework or cook mah. i dun air con for her one. oni at nite. then now night pattern, she usually used to nap from 8-9pm, but now NOT AT ALL. ok. i am fine with it. bring her to kai kai make her eyes be tired, then 10pm onwards she start to rub eyes, i am happi. faster make milk for her to slp. she hold the btl herself then after finish take up throw to me then turn her body slp until 7-9am nxt day. slowly train Ivan his sleeping pattern. else u bring him to go outside kai kai lor. go yew tee shop lor. make him become tired.

any babies co-slp with parents? my gal is realli like a dog leh (born in dog yr mah). wow bian she slp with us, such small baby want to snatch place with us u knw. she flip her body until can slap us lar, else head dunno why ended on my tummy lar, else dunno hw she turn her body, head also turn & hit onto our head lar - very pain ok. cos her head very hard leh. she wont be awake by her knock to us, but we wakeup to Ouch... she also love to slp on tummy then her head is turn left & right, left & right until fix liao then will fall aslp. see her fall aslp,put her to her cot, she wakeup & cry liao. put back my bed, she slp again. cant stand her. i think forever hv to slp with us liao. this No2 come out i dun dare nurse her at nite & put baby slp with me anymore. wait all 4 pax hw to squeeze 1 bed? haha

Wah this DR dunno prescribe what meds to me...take liao who day so sleepy...eyes so heavy. Lucky my mum here else E will be running wild at home while mummy knocked out on the floor. Already told him I m looking after bb at home liao...siao Dr. Feel slightly better liao but coughing like mad.

Whether she looks after tx full time frm newborn or 4 mths onwards, she would still hv developed v strong attachments to tx cos she looks after her day n night. Just be more tolerant of ur mum lor. BTW, when u say 'just do confinement only for u'...I m sorry but it does sound as if u r not v appreciative of ur mum. It's not easy work for n old lady u know. Cook special food n prepare all the bu soup for u n still bother to hand wash tx's clothes! I just ask my mum to put all in washing machine together cos I also dun want my mum to be so xing ku. She still does alot for u...maybe u shd kan kai abit when she does something tat irritates u. I also just tahan when when my mum says something to irritate me or doesn't do things they way I like cos I really appreciate her coming up here to keep us company when I know there's lots of things she could be doing at her own home.

last weekend was such a hectic period for me... found out ethan had been addicted to yao lan liao... n he super hong sim... fri i was the only one not working... then hor... as soon as i bathe n change, ethan keep screaming n screaming saying he wanna go out... everytime i change he will wanna go out lor... some more cannot wait for me to pack things wan... wanna go out means immediately wan... haiz... actually dun feel like going out wan... no choice lor... bring him go mil place... he oso dun wanna sleep mah... e most sleep 1 hr at hm... then bring him go mil place liao tot its time for him to watch his fav tv show... but hor he start screaming again lor... aiyoh... go bedroom liao keep looking at the yaolan... ask him if he wanna yao yao he smile at me... put him inside sleep in less than 5 mins... alamak... then he sleep for 2hrs+ lor... aiyoh... then he wake up liao bring him hm cos told hb i will be cooking dat day liao... then ethan drink milk liao play a while make him sleep again... cos he din sleep much for whole day n i wanna cook mah... then havent finish cooking he wake up liao... aiyoh... got to entertain him while cooking... now i know how mil feel when she looking after him... in the end dinner still turn out ok... except dat the rice is abit too soggy... hee... put too much water... fil still say ok.. luckily still edible... hee...

different babys have different behaviour mah... my JT can nap in the day, but at nite also may wake up cos she is a very light sleeper... and to top it off... she is super fussy abt food... I always go crazy trying to feed her... these days, I just give up and feed her biscuits if she doesn't want to eat porridge... cos bo bian if not I'll go crazy.... so sometimes as much as we want our babies to be like others.... we just have to accept that our babies are difficult.....
are you training Ivan to drink FM from sippy cup? I have read that some TBF babies, especially those who are latched on full time, have difficulty accepting FM and bottles, it might be easier to start of with sippy cup straight away. And some BF bb just dun like FM, and they will go straight to fresh milk... I have 2 nieces like tat, and my mum said I was also like tat... seems like my JT will also be like tat.... so you have to see if Ivan will accept FM or not.... if not no choice just have to give fresh milk...

cannot put her to her baby cot now. put in to ask her play herself while i bath or go toilet also cannot. she will cry until tear very big drop will oni stop when i come out & carry her.

i tink she's sick o mushy stuff so i made meat sticks 4 her 2 chew. minced beef + mashed potato + egg yolk rolled into a stick, then baked. she ate 3 sticks 4 lunch n a no. o spoonfuls o rice. oh, i dip e sticks in brocolli puree too. so, in a way, it's q a nutritious meal. altho quantity is not much..
i tink we share e same prob.. i always tell ppl if my bb is like 10kg i can relax a bit n nt force her so much n focus on gd eating habits... but i just weighed mandy yest, nt even 7 kg! gosh... i tink she's like JT, nv gain wt 4 e past few mths at all..

so u've found a job ar? wat wld u b working as? erm, act hor, i've said b4, it takes many mths 2 train a TBF bb 2 drink fr bottle n e older they r, e more diff it is to train. i tried since she was 6/7 mths old n was at it for 3 mths or so still din succeed. now gotta spoonfeed cos she din wanna latch oso. if ivan has 2 depend on u 4 his milk, i dun tink u'd b able 2 leave his side for prolonged period lor.

i tink she's sick o mushy stuff so i made meat sticks 4 her 2 chew. minced beef + mashed potato + egg yolk rolled into a stick, then baked. she ate 3 sticks 4 lunch n a no. o spoonfuls o rice. oh, i dip e sticks in brocolli puree too. so, in a way, it's q a nutritious meal. altho quantity is not much..
i tink we share e same prob.. i always tell ppl if my bb is like 10kg i can relax a bit n nt force her so much n focus on gd eating habits... but i just weighed mandy yest, nt even 7 kg! gosh... i tink she's like JT, nv gain wt 4 e past few mths at all..

Aiyo!!! Mandy and JT really same same one leh.... Tat day JT refused to eat her food, no matter wat I gave her to play. She would only eat when I let her hold the spoon and guide it into her mouth... then you know lah, the other hand comes and before I know it, her body, table and floor is full of porridge... luckily hubby came home in time to bathe her while I clean up the horrible mess... Then yesterday we were outside, had to let her play with coins in our desperate attempt to make her eat.... and she would usually eat her papaya if I cut them in cubes, but she didn't even want that during the weekend. But I'm hoping that its just teething cos can see her 4 upper teeth coming out....sigh... dunno wat to do with these 2 girls... eating is so difficult meh???!!! ARGH!!!

That's why I gave JT the Healthy Times Teddy Puffs cos they are the healthiest so far.. and she will eat them.... It's probably ok for them not to gain wt for 1-2 mths, but my PD says their development will be affected long term if their wt remains stagnant for 3mths... so try to at least give Mandy stg lor.

JT has never liked bottles in the 1st place, so I guess the sippy cup is stg new to her. And before I intro the sippy cup, she has never drank water cos she was TBF. so I guess in a way its easier for me to get her to drink from the cup since she hates the bottle.

I dunno lah... you can try poached fish in fresh milk, soak the teddy puffs in milk, steamed veg sticks like broccoli and cauliflower....overcooked pasta like penne (cook until soggy?) I tried the penne but because I bought the organic wholemeal pasta, I think its a bit tough so she didn't like it... How abt yoghurt? JT loved the yoghurt, but she got hives from head to toe 10min after eating it...

Mummies, been really busy at work. Just celebrated Evee's 1st birthday yesterday. Had been really tiring preparing food and i also took the risk to bake her her 1st birthday cake. Its the first time i am making a fondant cake too. Its her actual bday tomorrow so will be on leave to bring her out.
