I think Ewan's varieties is better than Densie haha.....hers really all meals - threadfin, lion meat, potato, carrot. The fruits she had are apple and pear. Cos my parents oso nt adventurous. Only wkns, we try yoghurt, cheese (so far once only) cos always rushing to go out. Bad mummy.
Ok to give scallop nw? I kia si worried abt the allergy so tot aft 1yr then give. But when I go out I gave her a small potion of adult food like - chocolate cake, pandan cake, whipped potato, ice-cream. So contradict hor. Actually this is more worrying. Heng, touch wood so far OK!

Scallop seems ok for my boy. Plus it makes the porridge tastier. I usually put one scallop in with the threadfin else the porridge kinda tasteless. As for fruits I m also not v adventurous scared will cause wind. So far hv only given him apple, pear, plum, banana n kiwi nia.

It's citrus fruits n pineapples which contain high concentrations of citric acid. Kiwi contains lots of ascorbic acid i.e. Vit C which is good 4 bb. Give the gold ones which r sweeter n not as tart.

Hello mummies

Just came back from the polyclinic for JT's 9mth assessment. She passes everything with flying colours, except her wt!! She din put on any wt from 7mth till now, still at 7.6kg which puts her at 25th percentile... haiz I think her 1 week hunger strike really affected her wt tremendously. cos her wt went from 90th percentile at 1mth to 25th percentile, the nurse said to monitor on our own. If at 12mth she dropped further, got to go see doc liao. Haiz... think I have to continue giving her the mulit-vits for a little while more....

And my SS really dropped until rock bottom liao... so she was very hungry and kept waking up like 6 times last nite... now I'm a walking zombie liao... gosh it's only the 2nd day hubby is away... hopefully things get better!!

Today, brought Hayley on my own with my friend to Yishun Safra Club, for her 1st swim. The place is very nice and many facilies like the slide and the washroom even very bb friendly as well. Hayley enjoyed very much and keep kicking the waters, she soo tired after her shower that she soon dozed off and skipped her dinner. Even just now din finished her milk, think she is exhausted. Hope tomor she wont have muscle cramp. tsk tsk

how u do the egg plant huh? i tried yesterday n it was a total disaster.. i referred to the superbaby cook book.. supposed to cook 170oC for 30min!! by the end of 30min, my eggplant is chewy!! faintz.. i wonder if it's bcoz i kiasu, cut them into small cubes so tt it can cook faster.. in the end, all the moisture gone.. hahaha.. i ended up eating the eggplant myself.. hubby looked at me in disgust..

actually i already got a steriod injection the last time.. it's fine since it's localised.. but i couldn't take oral steriod tt time.. but it's okie with me.. since i dun really like the idea of eating steriod..

Yes, the yishun safra is much cleaner than public and the facilities so baby friendly n fun too with slides, jacuzzi etc. Most impt thing is the pool water is warm, including warm shower in the changing room as well. Yesterday, the safra is considered crowded as happened got swiming lesson during the time we went @ abt 4.30pm. I agreed that it is so troublesome to keep asking friends or relative's to swim at their condo. I also urged my hubby to sign the membership for us to enjoy & have our regular swim during weekend.

If next time u going with kate, can jiao me n hayley as well. Prefer swimming in the early morn or late afternoon when the sun is not so hot. Check out Hayley;s blog on yesteray's update, u can get an idea of how the place looks like.

I know there are a few babies here that are even lighter than JT. But she was very big at birth (3.7kg). At 6wks, she was already 5.2kg. So effectively she only put on 2.4kg in 7.5mths!! The nurse is concerned abt her wt gain, cos failure to thrive is also measured based on wt gain and not absolute wt. Imagine she actually lost wt in the last 2 mths.... haiyo.... But the nurse is saying tat her development doesn't seem to be affected so its ok for the time being. Have to monitor if her wt drop to 10th percentile at 12mth, then got to see doc liao... imagine her wt dropping from 90th percentile to 10th percentile.... haiz....
JT is starting to take Frisosoy this week, just abt 100ml each time.... she absolutely hates isomil... Frisosoy is not so nutritous but at least she drinks lah.... but she won't take the bottle she drinks from the cup. And she won't take the cup in the middle of the nite, only latch on.... really headache....But last nite got improvement lah... she woke up at 12mn, 1am and 530am only.... half the number of times from the previous 2 nites And she is still a nite mare to feed... have to keep giving her different things to play before she will open her mouth... the difference is that she will open her mouth lah.... this girl.... really dunno wat to do with her....

dora, i know your concern, but jt is alright now now right? she'll put on some weight, dun worry. just try to find what she likes to eat. maybe you try to feed her like wat my sis do, she doesn't put everything into the porridge. she'll steam the veg and then give to bb separately. meaning like we eat a bit of rice with a bit of veg, dun cook altogether. her kids prefer this way.

lil, tim is feeding ok la but he was sick. but now he's better. still has phelgm, but active la. giving him the probiotics becos his stomach and intestines like me always not too good. prone to stomach ache, wind and virus.....
