r u all bringing baby out already?
i hav not gone out much, everyday at home with baby except dinner go in laws house, then must come home. getting a bit bored.
for those who do, how do u bring the baby out alone?? stroller?
also, what activities do u all do with baby when he is awake? my baby is awake for long hrs, i need to entertain him quite long but run out of ideas!

decimalpoint, I have brought baby out already, but with the company of my hubby and MIL. Cannot bring him out alone, scare I cannot cope. I normally watch TV with my baby when he is awake as I also don't know what to entertain him with.

i m taking care of baby on my own. i play with him things like clapping hands n singing, recite peotry even! haha... but very hard to do this for long hrs, i also get sick of it, i am sure the baby does too!

i have stroller but my baby neck not strong, cannot put inside bcos it is not full reclining. brought him to buy fm with husband n see dr only. other than that, it is home, in laws house, mother's house!

decimalpoint, I shall try your activites and see whether my baby likes it. I only go out on weekends as weekdays I am taking care of baby alone. My baby don't like to be put inside a stroller. He will cry when in a stroller. That's why very difficult for me to bring him out alone.

I've brought my son to sntec and taka for shopping liao. but of course wif my hubby ard lah. Alone very diff to bring him out. Tat time brot him to polyclinic for jab, praying tat i dun hav stomachache. or else how to go toilet carrying a baby. Sometimes it's good to just go downstairs wif the baby for a walk, or else will get very bored, coping at home.

sometimes let him see the cot mobile (he loves it) sometimes put him on the playgym.

i bring him out alone. but only to pple hse.

weekend, will bring him out with hubby.

i brought ian out alone..hehe...1st time went out with ian..was actually few days b4 full mth.that time was with my boy's godma and #1.....went to whitesand shopping centre ...then to misaryeo's place...then 2 days later went out alone with ian...went to collect full mth cakes...only a few boxes loh...with 1 diaper bag...abt 2-3 hrs out...

you bring bb out with pram? i dunno how to get on and off taxis with pram. how to carry bb, take diaper bag and take the pram in and out of the taxi alone? not all taxi drivers are that helpful

u can go 2 e handicapped toilet wif ur bb. in some shopping centres, the handicapped toilet comes wif e tray 4 u 2 put ur bb in it then u can do ur big biz. it's e same tray which u can also use 2 change ur bb's diapers.

i do tat when i need 2 use e toilet. i bring my bb in wif me.

(sorry 2 barge in like tis...i used 2 frequent tis thread long x ago. my EDD was on 4Aug but I popped on 13Jul)

there's always a 1st time 4 everything. try bringing ur tod 2 ur nearest shopping centre alone. dun go out for too long, say 2-3hrs. pick timings when u hv fed e bb so bb wont fuss for milk when u r on e way. after a few tries, i'm sure u'll b more adventurous 2 venture 2 town.

i did e same wif my elder boy. i checked out compass pt, tamp mall 1st then went 2 raffles city. after tat it was taka, centrepoint, suntec, tanglin mall, forum, tangs all on my own. the hrs also got longer. i used 2 go out 2-3hrs then it became 4-5hrs. sometimes we even went out fr lunchtime (me SAHM so need 2 settle my lunch so headed out 4 lunch) til 9-10pm at nite (husband picked me up after work, we went 4 dinner then more shopping)

me used 2 post here but went 2 Aug thread cos gynae said i shld b positive, tik positive n try 2 hold 2 full-term for #2 (my elder boy popped at 35wks+).

i think main thg is bb neck not strong carry must use 2 hands most of the times. or one hand bag, one hand bb, if anythg unexpected, vry scary!

i m also thinking of getting a play gym /excercise mobile for him, but dunno how long he will be entertained by it. not cheap.

also, mummies, when ur baby wake up, does he cry immediately?? mine open mouth before open eyes, i wonder y?

poppy - i usu take MRT. more pram frenly.
then will take a haversack out. so both hands are free. my pram is those fully incline one. so bb can sleep in it.

like wat kelly says - at first, i will make sure bb is fed full like then go out. then home within 3hrs. slowly then venture longer.

decpt - my bb wont cry after wake up. he will stare at his cot mobile for v long. sometimes up to 1hr.

then play gym is a gift. agree tat it's ex.
was quite surprise tat my bb likes it. now, me n hubby can eat dinner in peace. just on the playgym for him.
