Just back from Gentings. Didn't bring S this round,but found the place really cut out for our tots ... lots of stuff to keep them occupied: indoor theme park, outdoor theme park, snowland, and heaps of others. And of cos for the adults, CASINO. Weather is splendid, a v nice getaway from current Singapore's weather.

Joy & Paula, its so amazing your tods can fix puzzles already. I find that Jerica is very impatient, when she play with wooden melissa & doug puzzles and cannot get the piece into the board, she will just leave it on top of the hole or tell me to fix it for her...everytime I tell her must rotate the piece until it fits properly, but she just cannot be bothered...haiz..

nice meeting u and Z at the concert. I should have brought J along. But we thoroughly enjoyed the concert. S was so sad when the concert ended. Brought back some memories of me performing with my flute.. one of the songs I performed before was "under the sea" too.

Hi Spice, I ask last year they say no trial lei. Maybe they change already, still remember I went with my colleague during lunch time and that lady was so rude just ignored us by saying "all class here very popular no need to trial"
Since there is trial then just go and c la.

The class Zach had yesterday was about the same as the rest of the trial that we hv attended.

- Start with free play
- story telling
- cookie making using clay and water colour for decoration
- recognising shapes and colour
- teacher go thru A to Z (Phonics)
- Sing song and follow by good bye song.

The teacher was good...so I think I will just continue.

Dal, since you moving to Woodland why not you join Kell at LV@RP. Paula hv so much good commends about LV.

yes, i think distance is a real big factor in the choice of schs for them. So if u r moving to Woodlands, no need to think further liao...just put JZ in RP lah...

i hv the shadow set as well from GF...my ger likes it all except the set wif all the transportation vehicles...she'll always leave this set to the last of the 4 & then get up to walk ard do other stuff once she reaches this set...typical ger man!

Yea, that is fun. We just brought it today and after one or two round, we decide to piece all four shadow puzzles together and test her, boy manz, she is just amazing!

Yea, d thing about her is that she will get bored of doing the same things once she knows how to do it ... so, we always have to try different methods of playing with her. We got her this who knows whose nose set. Once she knows how to play, she will get bored with it. And we just have to start playing differently. Instead of getting her to place the right nose at the right card, we lay out all 18 cards and put the noses on the wrong card (i.e., crocodile nose on pig card and etc) and get her to change things around.

So I told hubby, can’t fault me for buying non-stop because of her daughter’s appetite to learn! At the end of the day, everything just pays off lah … today she just surprises us by wearing her own socks!

Paula: Kelly is doing very well indeed. I have a set of animal shadow puzzle but it's cardboard material instead of wood. I got them from JL last time. Think kiddy palace also has.

Hi,

Would like to ask for advice on housing loans. Nowadays the loans are all against SIBOR. Is it a good idea to refinance under this new type? What is the chance of SIBOR going up in the next 2 yrs? Any idea how high SIBOR has gone up to based on history? Called a local bank &amp; they said the SIBOR rate used will be reviewed on yearly basis. At 1st glance, seems good to refinance since the new rate is much lower. However, not sure if there's any implication to it in the medium/long term.

in the end still got to bring her home..they took her in at 9am+..when her temp reach 36.7 but its fluctuating..they using those scan on forehead type.usually like wat i say is 37.1/2....tell PD they sure say nothing wrong...1hr later at 10+,the teacher say her temp still like tt..ard 37.1 n they ask me bring her home..

37.1 is not fever lei! 37.6 and above the considered fever! Are the teachers out of their mind? How to maintain a body temperature under 37 in Singapore weather?

Even for Kelly's school, if she arrived with a temp of 37.6 or 37.7, her teacher would let her cool down first and retake in 15 minutes times just to ensure that the temperature is not a result of feeling hot.
