Goodness! I will freak out if Im you too.. luckily it came out in Enya's poo poo... guess babies like to place things inside their mouths.. hmm.. think I was one of those babies or toddlers that catched lizards and cockroaches and try to put inside my mouth.. thats what my mum told me.. *super disgusting right?*

Yeah.. my breasts never really feel full unlike last time.. but seems like Amanda still managed to suck enough milk to make her satisfied.. the look on her sleeping face right after she latches on is so funny.. SUPER satisfied look
 


Things inside their mouth beside FOOD!

Riz loves to eat paper too. Esp when we are not looking. Now he found a new things to eat- Alpha rubber Floor mat. I put him in his play rm and play. If I don't hear any sound fron his toys, I nod he found his 'dessert' to eat alridi. There was once I treid to dig out from his mouth, He hurry swallow a small piece of the rubber mat.

My sis when she was a bb, she was in her playpen eating her own Poo Poo. I happen to saw it and called my mum who was in the kitchen then.

He was really really tired after yesterday celebration. We got to bring him back him before even all our guest left. This was the first time he fell asleep on the bed without even any patting or nursing.
 
Hi ladies,

I guess I'm really blessed with Enya eating anything we gave her. Cereal, FM, bread, rice or biscuit. Switching her from BM to FM was an easy process too. However, how I wish I could BF her until now. Too bad I fell very sick during her 8 mth and that's it. Supply drop to rock bottom. No choice got to stop. Really salute all BF mummies.

I think your fine motor skill is very good lor. Still can pick up lizard that is on the move. The lizard must be quite "pu" right? Or else how you grow so big and strong?

My breast will still feel engorged if Kang Jung miss a meal. If that happen, you will see me begging KJ to drink his milk. Sometime he refuse to drink and I got to suffer until he want his milk.

KJ eat his red packets twice. I manage to dig out the red packet from his mouth the first time he eat it. I think he swallow the his second red packet. Now, he throw away his red packets whenever people give him one.

He love to bite his board books too. I have to watch him while he play with his books.

Hee.. thats fast! 27 rolls liao... BP officially closed.. will call the lady by next Mon or Tues to place order.. so still got time to change the orders... for those who wish to place orders.. still can but MUST make sure that you can come by and collect as soon as the swiss rolls are delivered to my place as my fridge is not big enough to store all the swiss rolls esp the durian ones..

Haha.. no lar.. I didnt managed to eat the lizards or cockroaches that I caught.. my parents caught me trying to put those in my mouth then.. Im big sizes cos of my genes lar.. not cos lizard is 'pu'
 
Met up with my dietician cousin earlier and she does not encourage me to give Amanda pediasure as it is way too sweet, as it is more for underweight kids..

wow your girl's hair is so long... mine still look botak!! her hair taking forever to grow. l heard can put breast milk on bb's hair to encourage growth but i worried ants will be after her.... hahaaa..

Her hair is like mine, very thick. Especially when the weather is hot, she will starts to pull her hair.

I'm not sure about putting BM on hair. I only know can use BM for facial. If you are still bf why not give it a try. Just make sure you remember to wash later.

When I read the threads of mums still breastfeeding, I am envious of you guys. A strong bonding that you'll create with ur child. A pity my husband's family are not into BF and tht includes my hubby. Keep asking me to express. Get a lot of stress back then. Now I tell myself, the next one, I m going to BF. But only recently, I got nothing better to do n let my girl explore abit on my breast, see whether will she still can recall in me BF her back then (which only last 3 mths), she totally ignored me.

BREASTFEEDING
BF initially was like living hell for me... not looking forward to every time she cries... so stressful.. once i tried to pump out and my nipple bled.. i cried and freaked out! so did my hb and mom.. but i'm glad i perisisted cos its a breeze now. well, i think mommies don b too hard on yourself. as long as bb is healty thats all it matters!!!
 
Talk abt BF, I maintain my weight for almost 6 mths at 56Kg when BF. (Weight Never goes up or dw during that period.)

So I decided to wean him off so that I can lose weight. Further more, no milk!
 
BF:

I'm also one of those still bf my boy fully. And I still get blocked ducts, lumps and infection now

I was scared last week when my lump and fever didn't cleared after 3 days, went to see the lactation consultant, and she suggested I might need a surgery if it still persist after I take antibotics...

I nurse him to sleep at nights and on wkends for his naps. Also, give him feeds in middle of nights. However, I know these may be bad habits as he's now almost 1 yr old and not suppose to depend on nursing to sleep.

Really feel so tired with blocked problems, and it's so painful with my boy's teeth sucking so hard.

People suggested that I should start to wean my boy off bf already.... but I dunno how, it seems to be a big challenge. To make things worse, I'm going to take care of him full time from next month onwards....

i'm glad that i BF till now but i do wish that i had intro'd bottles and FM earlier as my girl is seriously a BF addict! trying all steps now to wean her off slowly and not depend on suck suck to go to sleep.
 
miu66, the cake tht u have looked cute n sweet. My girl had her celebrated on 7th April. Stil hvn't get hold of the pictures yet.

When I see most of the mothers in the forum posting their baby's pictures, I can't help but to compare my girl with others. I'm definitely not a compare freak here. But I can't help to worry abt my girl's physical development. She looked very small for her age. She does has my genes. No matter eat how much, also can't get fat. But until frm the 8th month till now, nvr has her weight increased and her height still remains the same. 1 thing is tht everyone tells me it s alrite becos she s very active, but being 1st time mother, how do we judge how active is active? A lot of kids are also active.

Dun knw why I m so negative? I always think tht there must be something wrong. Even the baby doctor said tht if my baby's weight and height still remains the same, she has to undergo certain checkup. This is really worrisome.

the Pooh's cake is 2kg...is made from Malaysia, not singapore. Found that the cake in sing more creative & nice...For Malaysia, really limited. Not much patern to choose. This one cost RM96.

went to east coast for picnic on sun late noon... let me girl tried the sand and water... she was so frightened when the water swept to her feets...

then went back home to cut her cake... this was how she celebrated her 1st birthday, with her grandparents, aunites & uncles (my sil & bil)

Sounds very serious.. do you want to try my grandmother's remedy? She used this type of herb which can be found on grass patches.. pound it and mixed it with white rice wine.. then apply it to the affected area for a few hours.. and it really works on me and on my mum last time.. it has very small flowers (white and purple) the picture of the plant is as attahced here:
