hello galz,
hee.... so happy... just collected bb's bean sprout pillow... ;o) think i will start to decorate bb's cot when im on leave. now his bed is still in a mess...

dun worry abt bb movement. as long as ur gynae say bb's ok means ok. i can understand how u feel when u cant feel bb's movement. btw, how come u still got menstrual?? think u better dun walk too much n please dun carry any heavy/light heavy stuff ok...is very dangerous!!!

dear confused, ya like what the gals said, some can only feel it in late months, for mine, i think i only feel very very slight movement from my baby from 22nd week onwards, and it's very light flutter. So dun worry, I'm sure you are in Dr Chew's good hand, and somemore his machine so powerful! 3D leh.
hey u know my fren went for his detailed scan and it cost more now. $330 compared to $290. an increment of $40.
seabreeze, good leh got maid to help out. I kinda worry that my mum will get tired. hmmm.... i will only have a part time cleaner to come every week. Think will have to bear with some dirt.

lib, good choice of buffet! Neo garden is very good. Had them for company function before. Yummy!!! think yr guest will have a good feast on food and also looking at yr cute baby kylie. =)

my fren jus gave birth, she warn me to get my cot ready b4 delivery, cos on e day she came back, then she start to do up.. its abit late cos bb needs to sleep.
btw, those with cots, do u put up yr musical mobile when u do up e cot?? or shd we only put it on when bb older?? heard pp say bb will hv 'dou ji' eyes if see e mobile moving when they newborn?? any1 heard of this????

actually her baby not very small leh, 2.77kg. That's good news for her as she dun have to worry now.
cookies, me 39th week plus this week. I very scared of dust one lor, and i will slowly decorate when i have the time. i will just do the basic of fitting in the sheet and pillow. =)

for musical mobiles, it is best to put it up after the baby is one month old since over-stimulation may occur when they are too young. However, if you can detach the mobile from the music box, you can attach the music box by the cot so you can entertain the baby with music when he is awake.
When baby is young (before 1mth old) colours like black, white, blue is good enough to stimulate them, they love looking at faces or animals at that age.

Thanks for all the compliments. *sign* my boi just got admitted into Mt A for his jaundice. Luckily PD said it's only moderate high (15.3) and the admission is to err on the safe side. Already missed him so much. I saw him laying naked & crying under the phototheraphy, so heartpain. I suppose all these worrying are all part of motherhood.....
As for BF, still trying not to give up although I must admit that I'm less stress now that I started to give Hao Wen formula milk. Will try to build up more BM next 2 days when he's hospitalised.

the Avent breast shell has a diameter of about 8cm (half-cup style), no info on how much that can collect. As for full month, probably just throw a simple lunch for relatives/close frens, colleagues get cake vouchers.

my gal turn down at week 36th, rather late. my gynae said to talk and sing to her everyday everynight, nag and nag at her til she turn down. i believe yr gal can also hear what you said to her, she will kwai kwai turn down.

Hi tingting, though I am a 2nd time mummy but becos I dun hv much experience in bfg cos I only get to bf my ds for a week. That time, kenah stressed out by my cl and almost got post natal blues.. haiz.. tough time. Then my mil took over the care of confinement for me and I hv to take care of ds myself. So I know how some of u w/o cl is/are gg thru. Tt's why this time, I swear I must get a good cl to help me!
Hi ixwong, jaundice is very common in nbs so dun be too sad. My cl got some herbs from the medicinal hall to bathe dd in and it is said to 'cure' jaundice. She will place a few of those herbs in an ang bao and put by her pillow side. She will crush the herbs and put boiling water over it then use it to bathe dd. The water is v. yellowish kind. And these few days not much sun.. v. stress ah. But anyway, think her jaundice level is gg down cos she dun look so yellowish liao.

Hi skippy, I heard the You Long Zi dun 'entertain' you personally ie to say you wont see him face to face when getting a name. U just put ur ba zi in a box then few days ltr they will either call you to collect or post to you. That's it. Very commercialised i feel.

I'm stepping up on expressing BM using pump. But can only get a pathetic 10 ml after 20 mins from both breasts. although after pumping breasts are softer, I can still feel lumps around the breast rims (quite pain when pressed). Are these blocked ducts? I'm considering seeing a lactation consultant for help in increasing BM supply.

miso, there is a Northern Hope Medical Centre at punggol plaza, and they have PD service. Wendy n I were thinking of bringing bb there for check up.. I think I'll bring Zephan there for his 1st month checkup. When he's older will then switch to GP.

Thanks for your encouragement. I feel so much better when I learn to relax & take things easy. Sometimes when Edna cries, I turn on music & keep myself cool.
The engorgement part, I din expect to be so painful. But now getting used to it & pump whenever necessary.

dr keoy was the PD assigned by my gynae at TMC. We dun like him.. he didn't advise us a lot of things at hosp when i was warded. Wait until we went back for followup chk @ his clinic 3 days later. By dat time too late, my baby's jaundice went up quite high n had 2b readmitted 4 foto-therapy. Hubby n i quite upset. We hv another fren also dun like his way of talking.
So we switching pd. Punggol Plaza 4th flr Northern Hope. Not the one opp OCBC. Dat's just a GP i think.

i only intent to take leave from 5sep onwards if bb still nt ready to come out by then.
today visited my gynae n attended his labour talk. as his machine not very updated, cannot tell e bb wt's anymore, he say his machine cant read if above 3.2kg. so i need to go tmc to do a detail scan to be sure of bb's wt next monday... but good news is i did not put on wt since e last 10 days.
mtbs..regarding 'you long zi', my goddaughter name calculated by him too, pay $100, in e end also nvr take his recommendation. my frens nvr get to c him, jus pass e birth date to some1 there, n they give him a list of suitable names, all sounds funny. in e end, they decide to use back e original. think he not very good leh.
