i was awake til 2am but my husband was hogging the PC and i didnt tik any MTBs will be an "owl" like me...slept on & off for few hrs and woke up at 7am to make BF (too much tossing & turning must have made me hungry).

36 hours must be hard.

I had my appt last night, the baby is finally head down. he was breech for the longest time. He now weighs 2.8kg almost 2.9 kg at 36wksn4days.
My weight gain suddenly gained 2 kg in a one weeks!! sigh
I would be out whole day today check later in afternoon..

Went to the doc yesterday. Saw an image of my baby's face

Her cheeks were so chubby! hehe... just like me lar

Her foot was almost at her mouth... Doc was saying some babies suck their toes in the womb

Average weight but doc was saying that she's a bit short. Oh well, not that me or hubby are tall anyway... hehe...

oh yar... am really getting sceptical abt my doc. He was saying that any antacid is fine. Even aluminium is ok and that we can take 3-4 times a day, everyday. sheesh... not very comforting words to me....

BB clothes

How many pcs of newborn clothing are you girls getting? And what type?

I was told by a friend that the onesies which you are to pull over bb's head are not easy to wear because bb's head is so fragile that it's better to get those button/ribbon tops. But my mil said that tops may expose bb's belly button and cause wind. is that true?

Hello All!

Been following the postings here. Just don't know how to join in. Anyway, when I had my 1st child, I made up my mind to have epi even b4 delivery. Like Fruitcake had said 'THANK GOD for epidural!' I agree totally! But in the end I couldn't push well and had to have an assisted delivery. My gynae discourages epi and says most of his patients do not opt for it. Quite unbelievable I thought. As I dun wish to have another assisted delivery, I'm trying to 'dong' and not have an epi this time round.

if you look at those ang moh babies, they still strive so well irregarless of what they wear, some every very garang to go topless and some mummies even throw them to swim whilst they are about 3 months old

eh... yar hor... i don't know how many set of clothes to get also. My SIL gave me some, but most are for babies a few mths old. Dunno if its too big.

fruitcake, for infants its ok to expose the tummy a bit cos' you got to air the umbilical cord or else it'll get infected. We were told that in the past, people like to buy tummy wraps for infants. This covers the tummy "against wind". But it usually worsen the situation cos' the dark &amp; damp environ allows bacterial growth.

Dunno if the Tollyjoy sale has infant clothes or not.

I got many hand me down clothes. So far only bought 3pcs new clothes. 1 romper and 2 two pieces type. I oso find that 2 pc clothes more easy to wear. Romper i believe bb cannot wear it too long becos bb grow fast. As for the expose of the belly button, u may like to get abti bigger top so it can cover bb belly button.

For me , I ate 2 pieces of wholemeal bread with cheese and ham. After an hour, my reading will be around 7. something. I need to do some walking after meal to slightly reduce the sugar.

as my gynae advised me as he mentioned the positioning of my baby is not very good for natural birth

i was quite upset as i have always wanted to see the very moment my baby is out. I need to be on GA. And becos i have been having very bad pain on my right leg, he suggested might as well go n deliver early, but i am not prepared, so decide to stick to 28th sept when i am just 38th wk.

Feeling really very scared now!

My EDD's 20th Oct....getting close now! I used to hope my little one doesn't arrive so soon (this pregnancy seems to just fly by) but now with the constant aches at these 2 particular spots (below the right breast and back), I wish she'll be here anytime soon.

I think there's not really any cons to having an assisted delivery. Just tt the bb's head will have a lump for a day or two if it's vacuum assisted. But personally, I thought it's a little traumatic for the bb....like so poor thing...kena pull out.

am having the same aches at those exact same spots! normally gets it after lying on either side for a while. was so uncomfortable that i got up a few times last night &amp; earlier today as well. was thinking to myself, if the ache gets worse, i rather my bb pop earlier! LOL

I also believe it's their position.....must be their little legs. I always massage to encourage her to move a little but after sometime, she'll go back to that same spot....maybe it's comfortable for them but certainly not for us.

My gynae says usually can tahan one.....the most painful is the time when gog to give birth....usually within 1/2 hr bb will come out. He says can put me on drip to speed things up too......sounds scary!
