GET COOKING!
Staying home is a good time to teach the kids one of the most important life skills – how to feed themselves. These easy recipes were contributed by parents we know. Try them out!
Fruit Salad (by Jon Lee, 47, shop owner)
Peel and dice apple and pear. Take one or half an orange. Free and sprinkle the juice sacs. Squirt in some Japanese mayonnaise. Mix evenly.
French Toast Sandwich (by Nelly, 36, elderly carer)
Crack one egg and beat it. Dip two slices of plain bread in beaten egg. Fry each individually in butter. Pour condensed milk on one slice, and stack them up.
Steamed Egg (by Roni Tam, 41, stay home mum)
Crack 4-5 eggs into a measuring cup. Add the same amount of water (ie. 1:1) to the egg. Add some salt, and beat the mixture. Pour egg into a bowl through a sieve. Put the bowl into a steamer. Close the lid, keep it at high heat for four minutes. Turn off the heat, keep the lid closed for another 20 minutes.
