Hello,

Is TCM effective for improving the sperm counts, morphology and motality? Can someone share the success story, particularly with normal hormorne level?

U can try Ying Chuan if u are looking for TCM.

I managed to conceive successfully after seeing her and taking her medicine for a few months. I have been TTC-ing for about 3 years. Just delivered my baby daughter 3 wks ago.

Recommended 3 friends there and they managed to conceived within 3 months as well..

Hi Liz, I went to Teck Chua Medical for a few months last yr. The lady is quite good,otherwise, how to explain the forever long queue and many races couples (malays, indians) coming to see her too. Usually i have to wait at least an hour b4 I can see her. She is oni there every Tues, Thurs evening or Saturday afternoon.

Though i din conceive under her, taking her medication did help to regulate my menses which is usually haywire.

I was seeing the sinseh at Teck Chua Medical Hall for abt a yr before I conceived. I was takg her medication on top of that, western medication as well. But I believe she did contribute to the success as well.

She is good but forgetful at times where u hv to repeat to her yr problem again. Otherwise, it wouldnt explain the long wait which we normally hv to wait.

You can try Ban Choon Wah medical Hall. I had tried for baby for since Year 2003, when to see few chinese sinseh which is popular in singapore, tried cromid, IUI and Laparoscopy over last 3 yrs of TTC but no good news.

After seeing the sinseh at Ban Choon Wah for abt 3mth, finaly get pregant in yeard 2006, and i just give birth to my prince during this April.

Give this sinseh a try, he realy good

Does anyone knows the operating hours of Dr Tan kian Sing? I tried to call a few times but the line is either engaged or no answer. Is it neccessary to fix appointment to see him or can we just walk in?

I heard that he was in China last week, think he should be around this weekend. Perhaps you can try to call again. Sorry I can't remember his exact operating hours.
It is better to call to fix an appointment.
 
Hi, Dr Tan Kian Sing is off on Wed and he is usu busy in evenings, i was told.

I went to see him a couple of times in the afternoons where there's no q. I find him honest and professional. It's good to call to make sure he is around before making a trip down and there's no need to fix appointment.

I do believe his advice and medicine helped me somewhat to prepare my body as i have a "cold" womb.

How do you know you hve cold wombs? Is your menstruation cycle normal and heavy flow?

He say my health nt gd. Give me medication to tiao my body first..rather than even think abt concieving at this point of time..

I used to have very bad menstrual cramps and i LOVE cold drinks. I had minor endometriosis and had it operated on and my cramps got better but it's only when i finally stopped taking cold drinks, my cramps disappeared.

Also, when i visited Dr Tan, he said i have a cold womb so advised me against eating anything "liang". He gave me those instant packs of medicine to warm my womb. Most horrendous stuff i've ever taken in my life :p. So glad i do not have to drink those medicine anymore.

Take his advice and buildup your body. Also remember to be healthy. Exercising helps too. Build up your body physically.

I was diagnosed with PCOS. Took clomid for a few cycles prescribed by my gynae but my womb lining thinned so had to stop. Did once of IUI.

Opens daily, does not need to wake up early to take queue no. But will have to wait for medicine to be packed.

I find him very patient and calm. hope he is able to help me and my husband. we has been trying for more than 2 years

i have been ttc for 9 months and have been taking chinese med for the past 5 months. but last month i started seeing dr tan kian sing and got pregnant after seeing him for 1 month of acupuncture and medicine. Even tho his med is not the best tasting thing in the world, it definitely work for me....

I dont know whether this pregnancy will work out but at least I got pregnant and know that I can be pregnant.. he's extremely patient and has many patients too.

his hours:
Mon- Fri 9.30-12pm, 2pm-5pm (night im not sure)
Sat, Sun Not sure

I think mine is like unexplained infertility too in the sense dunno which one of my conditions is the cause. I have enlarged uterus, tiled womb, 2 cysts, fibroids and many years of endotremosis. My hubby report card also got some slight problem too....

but usu, they(tcm) dun really cure u of your condition. they only try to reinforce the organs or whatever that is vital to reproduction. eg they will reinforce qi to your liver and kidney etc etc

Did u try both the acup and the med? how long have u been seeing him? he's a really nice man right?

so far once only. Started to visit him during my 2ww of last cycle. just started new cycle in 4 Oct. Hope can strike with his medication

For my case, i have imbalance hormone and tilted womb too. manage to tiao the hormone to ovulate well by the previous TCM.

hmmm he is a little too quiet for me... hope he will tell more not until i ask ;P

his medication and consultation fee is not cheap. slightly above average. Well he is traditional medicine specialist in fertility. just give it a try.Since western doc not able to help.

can Dr. Tan Kian Sing see both male and female problems together? is he good for female problems as well? as was hoping if he can, then me and DH can see him together at the same time. no need to spilt to me see Dr. Tan Siew Bouy at Thong Chai and DH see him... save some time.

my gynae never told me what is the maximum number of months one can take clomid leh.

really got side effects? tot it is just hot flushes.

hi all,

i m seeing dr tan too,he is very professional ! Unfortunately we maybe lucky one, with him for past 6 month but no good news till now. Recently, we decided to take so-iui in dec, anyone experience before while so-iui and at the same time taking dr tan's med ? am still thinking whether to let dr tan know we are starting our so-iui program, anyone came across ?

it is ok to inform him that u are trying so-iui. I did so-iui and take his medication at the same time.

sorry for the long delay in reply as I didnt keep watch over this thread and no email was sent to me when people reply in this thread.

His costs varies sometimes can be up to $50 for both acupuncture and med and sometimes $20++ for med alone or $24 for just the acupunture.

I was pregnant the first month I see him but unfortunately I have miscarriaged now and is TTC again

I think if you dun want to take acupuncture, u dun have to . You can just take the med too but I think the effect will not be as great... This is my own opinion, you can ask the doc. He do prescribed med as well.

I'm new here. TTC for 10 mths but still no news. Have been seeing Dr Tan Siew Buoy at Thong Chai regularly, doesn't seem to help. I got cyst and endometriosis, heard that Dr Bai from Chung Hwa can cure them. Any comments on him?
