Private and Public. What are the pros and cons?

Hello mummies dan daddies out there!
This is our first baby and it’s such an exciting phase for us.

Can you share with me the pros and cons of going to private and public hospital/gynae? We are 13 weeks pregnant and going for our checkups and appointments at KKH as a public patient. So far everything is going well. We are contemplating to go for private gynae or should we just stay as public.

can you share with us your experience for public gynae, if you have any?

Hi! Yes im current there as a subsidised patient. We’re thinking if we should change to private and choose a specific gynae. The only difference i know of now is the price and that the selected gynae will be with us throughout our pregnancy journey.

just wondering is it wise to change to private or Should we just stay as public (subsidised) patient. Do you have Any experience as public (subsidised) patient?
