poogle,

dun be sad! paint the picture in ur mind, that u see urself cradle ur very own baby and feel with JOY [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

i agree with what Annissa , after m/c episode, kind of glad to understand how m/c is like. when i hv the cold sweat i was in the office, i nvr hv menses cramp, after lunch after an hour

the accute cramp and pain make me unbearable i have to lie on my office seat, for about 10-20min as well, n had the feeling that I am going to faint, after that i try to stand and walk to toilet. tink is a blessing in disguise for me, my hubby do not want to hv a 3rd child, even when i come to know i was pregnant on year08 xmas time, he ask me to abort the child. but i insisted to keep it, if amnio test out is abnormal then i abort it. but the baby came out be strong n healthy, my 2 son both are august babies [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Hi poogle,

lapo = laparoscopy

It's the keyhole surgery to remove cysts or fibroid in the uterus.

I did ivf twice, about $10k each.

Congrats to Jenn and to ML!

I'm 38 and currently trying for baby #3!

My baby #1 did not come easy. I had him at 35, after 1 lapro to remove endometriotic cysts and 1 heartbreaking miscarriage..took me 11 months after the miscarriage to conceive again.

Baby #2 came after 3 months of trying. I got pregnant the month I stop breastfeeding baby #1.

Somehow, baby #3 is a little slow in conceiving..been trying hard for many months now. But I know God's timing is best so I've to be more patient.

I've always told myself that I am willing to have babies up to age 42! (but hopefully, I do not have to wait too long coz I plan to stop after baby #3!)

btw, i really admire zoe tay for having another baby at her age, yet still looking better than most of us younger than her! may she be an inspiration to all us older mothers [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Hi Marble,

Thanks.

TTC journey for some of us here is not easy. I got endo and blocked tubes, I can't conceive naturally. Getting old makes our ovarian reserves diminishing too... I'm really happy my ivf works this time, I almost wanted to give up...

I have been married for 7 years and my nephew is going to be 3 years old soon... I can understand the feeling of seeing your friends and relatives having their kids and they keep asking when you're going to have yours.

As long as we don't give up, we will see the finish line one day. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Hi, just to share. I'm 40 now, gave birth to my 2nd boy last year Mar.

He came as a surprise to us, we are overjoy to have him.

For those who are trying, most important things are to relax and eat healthy [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Hi Shwufy,

Agree with you. Most important mummies have to relaxs, gd and healthy food and do not carry heavy things during the pregnancy. Gd Luck

hi mummies,

i am always coming back here to see if more here are preggo and to read successful stories. congrats to the preggo ladies. and for those who are trying, good luck!! i feel comfortable in this thread as we are all about the same age and going thru similar issues. i am still trying for a second one but it is hard when hubby is always away but i am still not giving up. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] just tired of people asking when and isn't my boy lonely...

Congratz ML & Jenn,

I have gave birth to my boy on 6 Jul. Delivery process was smooth. Thanks to my gynae, Dr Kowa at Mt E.

My boy is now coming to 11 weeks. I feel happy and grateful that I managed to conceive naturally.

Poogle--> don't be upset. Yours will come when the time is right.

TTC ladies, do not give up! Keep trying. As I mentioned earlier, I TTC for 10 years already and only managed to conceive last year. When you see your little one healthy & strong, you feel everything you have done is worth it.

Ganbatte...Jia You!!!

Congrats to you too, bbbliss!

I just went for my NT scan, baby seems ok, but I'm still having quite a fair bit of brown discharge, not a good thing... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

Jenn,

I also have brown discharge in the early stage. Just be careful and don't to walk too much. Don't exert yourself. Eat healthy. Btw who is your gynae?

I am so excited for u. Welcome to motherhood!

Thanks bbbliss!

My gynae is Prof PC Wong at NUH, but he doesn't deliver anymore, so he's transferring me to another gynae... I'm still considering who to see...

Jenn,

I see. Find a gynae which you are comfortable with as you need to see him for 9 mths. Enjoy your pregnancy!

Hi Ladies, it has been a while since I came to this thread as I've recently started another thread subject: how soon can we TTC after going through a mis-carriage? As the subject matter reads: I lost my baby through the diagnosis of blighted ovum at supposedly 7 weeks into my pregnancy therefore had to undergo a D&C. It was devastating, took it very hard and now recovering from the D&C by going through a mini-confinement. I am hoping to recover soon and TTC again.

To all preggie ladies out there, enjoy this time and keep well. Just thought I'd keep you ladies updated given I started this thread [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Cheers...

ML sorry to hear about your loss! Do take good care of yourself and hope you'll get your BFP soon. Baby dust to you.

Hi Ladies.

Tot I try and restart this thread to discuss older mum issues. I'm 38 now and will be 39 when no 2 comes in July (God Willing)

Was 36 when no. 1 came out.

Thinking of whether to go for ammio since the Oscar test was a bit iffy for me. But I fear to know the results of ammio...

Hi sunny,

i went for amnio test when i hv my no.2 at 38 in yr09. i did not go for oscar test.

juz be positive, amnio test is juz assurance for me that the baby is normal.

Hi ladies

I will b 41 this year and just tested positive after mense late for 5 days.

Getting excited and anxious as this is my first pregnancy.

Hi All,

It's encouraging to see this thread..Wish I had read this much earlier whhen I was still TTCing..

I am now in 5 mths pregnant, will be 40 when my little gal is born on Oct this year. Gotten her thru 2nd attempt of fresh IVF which wasn't an easy journey. The 1st attempt ended in a M/C at 5th week of pregnancy.

Just an encouragement to those TTC..dun give up trying, high risk or not, it's not for us to decide..God has the final say..Just relax and be of good health, have your body checked and ensure all is well, seek treatment in necessary. All the best.
