Hello everyone.

This is my first proper post here after tracking all your posts for the last several weeks.

Today has not been good. After 10 blood tests, 5 scans, and several hours of waiting, my natural FET has just been cancelled. The leading follicle stopped growing at about 15 mm three days ago and my LH levels have been up, down, and about, but nowhere near the 20ish levels they like them to be. My lining too seemed to reach an obstacle at the 7 mm mark.

I’m disappointed. I was hoping for some X’Mas baby dust. I must add that I have never had any ovulation, hormonal problems before. My temperature charts have always shown a spike after ovulation and AF shows up without fail every 26 – 28 days.

Have any of you ladies experienced a natural FET being cancelled? Any idea why my hormones and follicles would suddenly not cooperate?

PS – A lot of folks tell me “don’t be stressed and you’ll have a baby.” I’m sick of hearing it. I’m as un-stressed as I can be and the only thing that stresses me is hearing folks say that.

I also roll my eyes hundred times whenever someone tells me to 'take it easy, don't stress yourself, don't restrict your diet, just relax, don't think about it and baby will come'. I had a failed IVF, a failed FET by the way and every time the doc can't give me a precise explanation, it's always 'maybe the embryo quality is not good or womb condition is not good' etc..I guess we just have to continue to be positive, eat and sleep well and hope that the next cycle will be better. Most importantly, never give up! It will be our turn soon :)
 
Me too hate people said "you must relax, dun stress then you will get baby"..
Yes, get baby is very easy for some peoples but it will never easy for me as me & my hubby has fertility issue..
I had a failed fresh cycle on last month..whenever frens text me talking about pregnancy my tear still will drop with no reason..
Sorry for my emo...
Anyway, I shall no give up and try again..let's jiayou...

@fwdlooking I totally understand how you feel. People just don't get it that by telling us not to be stressed and to relax, they're actually causing us more stress!!! Maybe try telling them that you wish to end the subject of the conversation and let's switch the subject. If they persist in nagging, excuse yourself politely and walk away. Better still, print out copies of articles that say how people should NOT offer unsolicited advice to couples struggling with infertility and hand it out to them whenever someone spouts nonsense like this; that should shut people up as they realise they've embarrassed themselves. I have an article like that for you to share if you're interested.

I have not undergone a natural FET before, but my 1st fresh was cancelled also due to unforeseen reasons. In your case, I suspect that your temp charts and regularity of your AF do not tell the full story of how your follicles and hormones would normally behave; there is an unknown cause that is affecting your follicle growth. Moreover, it was a natural FET so they are basically relying on your natural hormones (instead of drugs) to grow your follicles, so anything in your body can potentially upset that process. You may have a better chance with a medicated FET, so don't give up hope!

Have to see which mth i can start ivf. Hope can hit dec 27 dec onwards for kkh to accept me in dec mth. Dec i will be more free at work. End jan or feb is busier. See how.' Boat to shore natural straight'.. :)
 
Hi, does anyone knows if AFC count of 8 before stimm at day 3 considered low? sound very low to me...and do AFC count always increase after stimm?

I think its good! Last time my afc only 3. But after injections for a few days,e count increase,till managed to get 14 eggs

So yr 8 is considered ok ba

Mine was growing only when after doc increase e injection dosage to 300iu at day 7 onwards. Day 3 to day 7 at 225 iu i have 5 folliclles. Then day 10 scan become 11. Actual they retrieved 14. Think u should fare better than me :)

Looks like exactly what I'm going true. Surprised to find someone sharing my plight so similarly.
I can never get there unless I go medicated.
Many yrs of TCM couldn't change this problem for me.

AFC is just an estimate of the numbers we have and can be seen from scan. When dr prescribe dosage to stimulate your follies the smaller ones which can't be seen can grow. the actual number of eggs retrieved depends on whether your follies inside have an egg. Not all follicles have an egg and not all eggs will mature. Only mature eggs can be Fertilised by sperm. If your AMH is good u don't have to worry.

So you responded very well to the med..hopefully me too..May I know how many eggs were fertilized from the 14 follicles? My friend got 18 but 8 fertilized so if mine 8 then haiz...

my natural FET was cancelled earlier too, Dr Loh said cannot capture my ovulation coz all follicle are quite small...... then I proceed w medicated FET the follow month. currently in 2ww. Understand the emo... dun worry... medicated can solve the problem.

10 eggs were fertilised out of e 14. But 8 arrested at day 6 so no frosties left. :( But dun worry, tt is my case. Its e quality of e embryo tt counts. Not e egg quanity
 
i agree with the statement quality counts.

for me:

1st fresh retrieved 17, dunno how many fertilised ( cant rem) but by day 3 only 5 fertilised. I did a fresh and got a bfp fr my medicated fet.

2nd fresh retrieved 20, dunno how many fertilised but by day 3 only 3 fertilised. (this has most quantity but seem like no quality - also bfn fr my fresh)

3rd fresh retrieved 10, 9 fertilised but by day 2 only 4 fertilised and 2 under observation.
 
my day 3 b4 stimulation for all cyclrs cannot even count the no of follicles. I was told small follicles cannot see the qty. at least yrs can be seen and counted..

anyway its the quality. . just need a powerful one to make it work.

jmec, don't worry about it. I only have 8 eggs collected. Just continue your protein everyday and be positive :)
 
Thank you ladies for your advices :) was reading something online regarding IVF (my fav past times recently) so suddenly read about this AFC thingy and got obsessed about it suddenly haha..ok I shall not worry, continue to eat what i've been eating and hope for the best..
 
Hi try not to think too much abt the no of eggs. U only need one to work. I only had 3 eggs and by day 2 only 1 had fertilised. Was so disappointed and demoralised. But it worked.

So, don't get too worried about no. of eggs and embryos. U only need the magic one. For those sisters in 2ww, hope u get a wonderful x'mas present!

My AMH is not ideal for my age as per my gynae but I didn't know what it meant at the point of consultation till i was reading more on it online..just gota hope for the best now

Been seeing TSB through my first and second fresh cycles. After I BFP-ed, I've been taking her "an tai yao". She's in her Chinatown clinic on Sat from late morning, as well as some weekdays (don't know which days though as I go on Sat) from early afternoon. But no point knowing her opening hours because she only sees patients on an appointment basis.

Hi mrs_tann, her opening hours are as such at her 2 clinics
Ntu: 830-1230 mon, wed, fri and 130-430 tue, thurs (6592 1732/ 6592 1733)
Chinatown: 3-8pm mon, wed, fri (6534 4131)
Usually u hv to wait one plus mth for the next avail slot unless someone cancels.
 


Hi ladies, I know this question is repeated, but can I gather the things to eat during 2ww? Egg whites? Brazil nuts? Any advice? Thanks
