I agree with imel if we can sleep and wake up 2 weeks later to have good positive result. Haha.
I have a bad stomach cramps earlier and had diarrhea.. All my thoughts were do not use any force on the stomach but it was too painful. I am not sure now if the egg is still here. DH is great and reassure if it is ours it will be ours no better ;-)
So now just hope and pray.

Oic so u and Imel did ur ET 1 day after me. The embrologist advice me to put 3 in. But me and hubby decided to put 3 embies in so as to max chance. Understand that there is only a 25% chance for me to get pregnant and did a research on the internet that only 3% of the pple who get pregnant will have triplets. Hence, the risk of me having triplets is less than 1%. Hence, just decided on puttg in 3 embies. I also never experience much bloatedness. I only feel bloated on the first 2 days after ER. Subsequently it subsided. But nurse told me on my ET day that my ovaries still look swollen hence have to continue eatg 6 eggwhites daily...How many eggwhites are u eatg?

i have only 4 eggs extracted thus after er i was ok. Doc just told me if bloated then take 2 eggwhites. By the way u on progestrone or pregnly?

I m going back to check progesterone level, to make sure enuf progesterone to support the embies. I don't eat any eggwhites, just drink the ensure milk twice aday and supplements. But will try eggwhite tomoro since its high in protein.

Welcome to the thread. Same as you, always scared when I have to pass motion. Scared that I will push too hard since I have history of constipation. If I didn't take it out for one day I will feel so uncomfortable. Been drinking water and eat fruits to make sure it will be a smooth business. Elle, if you suffer from constipation you can just drink dulphalac lactulose solution, to loosen your stools and its safe.

i read up from the net that it's almost impossible for the embryo to be 'push' out of us. It's either they implant or they stop growing. Don't stress okay... just relax and implantation will happen.

Lina, i carry my girl next day after transfer. And by the 3rd day, i resume most of my duty. My hubby officially handover to me on 4th day. Try not to lift them up too often.

After reading all your posts, make me want to start this cycle. Will be seeing doc on Wed. Must get my prolactin down first. Also, waiting for good news from the government-- National Rally 2008. There may be subsidy for IVF. See how it goes...

Thank you so much for your reply. Me done another scan today and apparently the result is not that comforting...Today got 5 follicles instead of 4. But the sizes still range from 8-11mm only from the previous 5-7mm. The dr increase my puregon again from 600 to 700iu. Wed must go for scan again. Really hope that the follicles will continue to grow.

I really feel much better after sharing with you gals, cos I find it very difficult to tell other pple cos they will not understand wat we are going thru. In fact, I was going into a depressive mood these few days, but was better now after all your replies and sharing, thanks a million gals!

Talking abt the scan, on the 1st scan, I saw the lab technician wrote next to the report the word 'hazy' so it means she can't see the follicles properly too. Thank you, I will jia you (jia egg haha....)

I'll be doing mine at NUH, Prof Wong. However, I also heard some people say that NUH takes patients like guinea pigs. My initial visits were quite pleasant, though. Any feedback abt NUH, ladies?

Aiyah, I am waiting till after the National Day Rally. See when the subsidy will take effect. Most likely will do it next month. Don't want to 'lu-gee' on the incentives, mah! He he...

I was under Prof Wong too initially. But after the initial tests and all, I switched to Prof Ng at Gleneagles. Maybe it's me, but I don't feel that comfortable with the procedures there. Prof Wong uses two rooms at one time to consult patients one after another. I feel like I'm in 'factory'. My consultations were quite rushed as he had quite a number of patients. There was once when I still asking him questions, he stood up indicating that he was leaving. On my second visit, after the blood tests and all, was told that I wasn't ovulating and that he wanted to more tests. The subsequent test proved his predictions wrong. Went to get a second opinion and I was told that I was ovulating. Its a bit confusing but my hubby and I decided to stick with prof ng. He's very encouraging and listens to you. Very fatherly. Oh well, these are just my two cents worth of thoughts.

don't worry about the beta results. the fact that your hcg amount is multiplying, is good news already. you just take care of yourself yeah.. btw, you have stretch marks already?! serious ah!? i was putting off thinking of that til the time i see my tummy really protruding. but now, i guess, must start moisturising the skin around the tummy already.

i'm feeling normal. nothing much really. just really, really, really exhausted at the end of the day. the kind i don't wish to get out of bed/couch once i've lay down already. the exhaustion is definitely taking a toll on me. even yesterday, i asked hubby to go grab dinner and buy my ensure milk by himself, coz i was literally too lazy to open my eyes and get up.. hehe.. the perks of being pregnant.. haha..

Btw, any of you bought the GE insurance for the ivf baby ? I got the form from the clinic the day I did my egg replacement. I am not sure if I should buy it or get from another insurance agent ?

ya, i put in 3 in day2, thus all are 4 cell instead of 8. dr foong told me tat the sucess rate is the same for day 2 or day 3. but for me, i would prefer day 8 as tat means 1 day less to worry if they are still around..but i guess it is diff as day 3 is a sunday

1) Crinone - Progesterone vaginal gel
2) Cardiprin - 1 tablet a day
3) Duphaston - 2 tablet daily
Not on pregnly. But going back to see doctor on 8 Aug for a jab...not sure whats that for. Any signs so far?

If u feel bloated should eat egg white cos its really high in protein and no fat content i think. And its cheap. Husband bought the "no frills" eggs for me cos i dun eat the egg yolk anyway. Any symptoms so far? me having no symptoms....sigh...

I also have constipation very frequently, so am taking 1 packet of fibre gel daily. Its all natural will not cause stomache too. U can try it. BTW when did you had ur ET done? how many did u transfer?

Its good to be a pregnant woman with power. Hahaha....I remember when my sis-in-law was pregnant, she will just touch her big stomach and everyone has to bow to her. Even when she want to buy food, the food stall uncle will serve her first.

Yep the duphalac can buy from pharmacy and have ask the doc that it is safe to drink. You can start drink 15-20ml first and if not working than increase to 25ml. But you may try to drink fibre gel first as what bebecraze suggested and if its not working and you still have to push hard, you may need the duphalac to loosen up your stools. Try to drink more water and fruits and vege.

Im not bloated. For me no symptoms yet. Just occassional pulling sensation both my ovaries. Though my gas is getting more deadly hahaha thats what my hubby said. Trying to find symptoms is somehow getting to the nerve of my husband coz I have been parading my stomach to ask him whether or not Im bloated.

The insurance that are referring, is it Neonatal insurance?

With the increased risk of multiple pregnancies, babies born as a result of the Assisted Reproductive Programme (ARP) have a greater chance of being hospitalised in a neonatal ward or ICU. Hence, as required by the Ministry of Health, all patients undergoing ARP treatment in Singapore must subscribe to the neonatal insurance.

no symptoms at all...i dun tink there will be much coz we are on the hormone jab which make us think we have. Yesterday the nurse told me after my 2nd pregnyl jab i will be more bloated but till now i don't feel dat much of a different. Keep assuring myself that different people react differently. Yesterday night i vomitted my dinner and my husband got all excited instead of pitying me. Here i am with my burning chest after effect of being a merlion there he stood saying its a good sign. Actually i felt its due to all the phlegm from my cough plus the spicy meal mum gave me. Hehe. I just dont want to have all hopes coz i don't want another dissapointment.

i am down with cough since yesterday night. Been havimg those tickling throat with those stubborn phelgm. Sometime i worried if i cough to hard and all the tummy movements will cause any harm to my embies. Hey...u not alone me too have those killer gas since after er. I remember telling my hb that what if dr loh is doing his thing down there transfering è embies i accidentally let it out. All the way in the room i have to actually control my bladder and my 2nd valve. Hehe. You very cute parading in front of your husband...

Hi bebecraze, I think I got the acroymn mix up - ER vs ET :p Did my transfer last sat with only 1 egg. So all my hope is on this egg. That's why I am so paranoid with my stomach upset and constipation as dr has advised not to use any strong stomach strength. It is really tough and the dr comfort me by saying let's see how it goes until next Sat when I take my blood test. I keep telling myself to think positive and manage my hope.

Hi Catzeye, you take care. Haha, you too have the same thought as me as I was wonder i will let go gas during the transfer and dr foong may faint.

Elle, it's not a must to buy the insurance. I did bought it for my first IVF. But i decided not to get it for my FET this time. It cover very little money only so i don't think it's necessary after much reading.

I am confused. i was informed by KK that it is a requirement by MOH and is compulsory to buy once ET is done.

Maybe i should check with them again or is it less strict in other hospital?
 
Ping, i think it's less strict at private hospital. Cos the nurse at my dr's clinic say it's not compulsory. All along, i also thought it's a must to buy. Since i have an option now, i just skip it.

at least doctor foong gave you a supportive encouragememt. As for my doctor...he doesn't give much expression or encouraging words lucky enough the kkivf team were nice and helpful. In the beginning before my transfer he say i only have got 2 embryo which is neither good or bad. Was a little worried. Later on ask him about the grade. The embryologist and him answered grade 4. After he left embryologist pat my back say that i should not worry coz i have beautiful embryo so now i just take the embryologist word coz she and her team has 'mothered' my eggs and see them growing for 2 days...stick on me baby/babies.

hi ML -- i think if sperm cannot penerate to egg, then the procedure will be ICSI where the sperm will be injected directly into the egg.... the whole procedure will be similar to IVF, but instd of letting the sperm on the petri dish swim and penetrate into the egg, it will be assisted by the embroyologist.
 
thanks vanilla! I'm just curious why this test was not done earlier. Then i might not have wasted time and effort trying other methods. My previous IVF was all ICIS.. now i really feel like giving up liaoz.. haiz.. dunno when can start next IVF or should I even try..

hi ML - did u discuss with ur gynae? Maybe he/she can let u know why ICSI also does not work? Technically i thot it shld work cos they will inject the sperm into egg so even if sperm is weak and cannot penerate, help is given?

Another thing is to cut down on soya beans and its products. It is said that it will make the egg "shells" harder and for men they have to cut down too cos it seems it will affect their sperm quality too....

I suspect they did not test for u initially cos usually they test for sperm but not really on the eggs since they retrieve our eggs only during ER. Did ur gyane say it is a sperm or egg prob? Dun give up hope ok... there will be a way cos with so much technology and advancement there will also be a way ...

Have been experiencing menstrual like cramps. Today is just 5 dpt. Does it mean i am beyond hope. So afraid that its a sympton of menses coming......Can any1 share with me their experiences?

Did my ET this morning. Very disappointed...only managed to transfer 1 embroy this time due to my bloatedness. During the scan before the transfer, my doc saw quite a lot of fluid accumulated at my stomach area...sign of OHSS. Initially he wanted to cancel the ET...but after discussing with the embryologist, decided to transfer only 1 instead of 2.My hubby wanted the doc to cancel the ET too after listening to the doc's explanation. I might need to be hospitalised if the fuid is increasing

I asked angeline and she said usually those who did not buy the insurance if they are not going to give birth in SG or know the transfer will not turn well. Aiya, I think I will buy it for my comfort whether it is sucess or not.

Hi littlebee, don't be sad and stay positive. I know how it feels. Like you, I only manage to have 1 egg transfer and the stress level is high and obstacle alot like stomach cramp :-(. Still, I try to be hopeful and read this forum for support. :)

i went for a 2nd opinion. Yap. ICIS manage to fertilised the egg. However, I was trying with clomid and SO-IUI before IVF. So I was just thinking if it was a waste of time and money.

Anyway, the test is for the sperm not the eggs.

Have cut down on soy products.

Now my new gynae is giving me metformin cause of my elevated insulin levels and supplements for DH. suppose to go back and test 3 mths later to see if the meds work. So now really demoralized.
He suggested IVM and not IVF due to my situation since my eggs don't thaw properly. haiz.. seems like an impossible task to have a baby.

My ET was 2.15pm. I have to wait till 2.45pm. It was so funny cos I was already drinking myself crazy before 1pm. When I collect my registration form from Angeline, I told I need to go pee. Cannot tahan ! Then start my drinking marathon preparing for 2:15pm but waiting till 2:45. By then, i thought my bladder was going to explore. Had to ask DH to check if there is some mixup in time and so I want to go pee again.

What time was your ET ?
 
Hi ML, Pls dont give up ya. U must always try, unless $ is an issue at the moment. save n try when u think its rite. but must try oks. Im sure you will have a baby its a matter of time. I too sometimes which I didnt waste time with my 2 cycles of PIO. Spent about 5k on that 2 cycles. But if we dont try we nv know rite. So pls dont give up. Keep me posted on ur progress ks. It depends on the % of the sperm able to pentrate the egg. Ours was 50%, and plus other factors, and we tried for a long while, so finally went to see fertility specialist which told us IVF/ICSI to be the only solution.

I did googling and IVM is a simplier cycle compared to IVF. The eggs are retrieved earlier and left to mature in the lab, and then fertilised in the lab. Thus, there will be no risk of OHSS.

Dun be disheartened. I guess it's only a matter of time to have a child. Maybe you can take a break. Who knows you may just conceive naturally?

dun be sad. At least you made it that far to have 1 embryo transferred. I am only starting the cycle and i dunno how it will turn out. Just taking a step at a time.

Congratulations to both. I take my hats off both of you, it must have been really tough coping with IVF alone, not to mention the OHSS and your Number 1. I too had quite severe OHSS in one of my attempts, that I could not even sit or walk, that on one of the evenings,I remembered that I almost fainted at home due to breathlessness. Thankfully, it subsided quite soon after the 2ww. My little princess is now 7.5 months. I hope you don't mind me asking if you had your Number 1 through IVF also? I love children and would like to have at least one more, but really do not know how to go about coping with Number 1 and the IVF treatment at the same time. I hope you can share with me. Thanks

Combi, my first baby is from fresh cycle. Then i have a few leftovers in the freezer. I can't imagine having my OHSS now! How to cope with a Hyper monster and OHSS??? Must salute chua!
FEt just have to take some medication and a few jabs. After ET just rest a few days. So quite managable for me. Unless with alot of help, i don't think i'll go for another fresh cycle.
