thanks for your well wishing. but i think chances very low. no symptoms. anyway, i see very open one la. of cos will be disappointed but i just tell myself if strike is a bonus, if not life just goes back to normal, no change. but $ heart pain. i tell myself to try everything i can for the next 2 yrs. if nothing happen, i will just accept it.
to be frank, before i start the cycle, i already did some resarch. i knew that short protocol has lower success rate although not significant. but definitely there is lesser injections involved and no downregulation of hormones (dont want to upset my system) which this is something which i wanted to start with first. if i fail, i will just follow up with FET where the process is the same for all centres and success rates are the same.

Thanks, dont know yet. Having my 1st scan tomorrow afternoon. I only transferred 2 embries. so either singleton or twins.
Pls reconsider doing a fresh cycle of IVF or try another gyny to see what they advice. U can try Doc Yu @ Care SGH. Im seeing her, MSFamily also saw her. The nurses there are really helpful and kind to you. U deal more with them than the doc. Pls dont give up oks. If u do have the $ try another time. Im praying for you and all too.. Stay in touch, I will pop in n out. Im alot more at the Christtian IVF site. Pop in there the ladies are nice there too. Remember u can PM me anytime oks.. I really miss the counting down. Ohh How is your new job, hope its better than the other one.. Take care and keep believing that you will have a bundle of joy to hold n call ur own. which stage of scanning are u talking about? i've done the 2 weeks past lucrin scan already. hehe.. going for puregon stage on sat. so i'll be at the clinic in the morning to purchase and jab. you're feeling sleepy and tired too? yeah, this weariness is hanging around. to make it worse, i'm having a bout of runny nose and sore throat. i remember the nurse say can only take panadol so that's all i'm doing. urgh! really hate stuffy nose!

btw, does anyone know how much i should get ready for the first purchase of puregon injections? just wanna get the amount ready before i go and buy.
also, i seriously think the syringes in the box is better than the ones packaged in the plastic. the latter are less sharp and can really feel the pain when doing the injections. i still have 4 left to use.. i think i shall get the boxes ones if i need to continue lucrin for another week, although they come in 14pcs everytime.

just came back from the scanning after a week of puregon. there are 9 follicles but not yet develop to the ideal size. had another injection this morning and need to go back for another scanning tomorrow. if everything goes on smoothly, the ER will be next monday.

How did you react to the puregon injections?
Bebecraze, I have decided to take a career break as it was not possible for me to take so much time off work. Everybody's work environment is different and stress levels endurance varies for individuals.
Doc told me that is is important to keep happy and not get stressed out - stress can cause Uterine Contractions which can affect the implanted embryo. Stress releases hormones such as adrenaline can cause the uterus to contract.
Staying happy and not getting stressed out the 2-3 weeks after ET is key.

Your husband is supportive of taking career break? My husband is against it. And I also have substantial financial commitments to my own parents, hence career break is out of the question for me.

I'm not working at the moment by choice because I feel I should not be under any stress. I'm currently doing my Masters by distance mode but I decided to defer for the second half of this year again because I do not want to be stressed especially when the ivf cycle starts and more especially during the 2WW.
Bebecraze08, if you can, try not to work during the 2WW. You need to rest and you shouldn't be moving alot. Take care and all the best to you.

If I were to take a break from career, i think more pple will ask me why am i taking a break. Never tell my parents that I am going for IVF too cos mum may leak news to relatives etc. Did you2 inform your parents and in law?

Yap. my first cycle. But after the recent events, i really no mood to try liaoz.. have stop TCM and gynae appts liaoz.. my grandma got sick the day i tested negative and it has been downhill since then. Blame myself for being so self-obsessed with the IVF failure that I didn't spend enough time with her during her last days...

how many lurin jabs did u have in total?I also find the needle in the pack one so hard to poke,the box one is more fine.
As for the side effect of lurin,i also experinence sleepy & tired,plus numb in my hand & leg.
I went for my bloodtest & scanning today on my day 14 of lurin,nurse say bloodtest is gd & I will proceed to my next puregon on next Friday.Anyone can adv me how is the puregon jabs,is it more painful & even harder to jab?Side effects will be more worse then lurin?How many jabs of puregon will be needed?

Bebecraze, it's been a few weeks since I have stopped work and started on my 1st week of IVF cycle. I discussed this with my husband at the beginning of the year, and he is supportive.
Our families know that we are trying for a baby and need medical help, so they have been supportive of my career break.

Yeah I have the same problem too. Tiredness...like never get enough of sleep. All you gals are right the pack of needle is more painful. It seems like ages for me to complete this stage 1. Its nw the 22nd day I am on lucrin & will scan again on day 27th. I really hope the scan will turn out ok for me to go on stage 2...

Doc wants me to lower my dose but when my hubby talked to gynae and mentioned the risk of OHSS, he suggested me to stop gonalF for 2 days since we r worried and blood test again on sat

I already lost 1 side of my tube i cant lose the other 1. Quite angry with Dr loh that he speak as if not his prob if the cyst is back. He din even check my uterus whether any prob with it. He still can encourage us to hv our FET done next month.

i wish i can make that decision to not work but i can't. our financial commitments really depend on dual income. haha.. cannot survive on one person. i really get the no stress part. its so vital to getting success in this program. i guess, i just choose to get away for full 2 weeks instead of just 1 or 1 and a half week. i just hope that my colleagues don't hassle me even when i'm at home.

When I begin the program I was not sure what the success rate of Dr Yu was, I was glad to know MSFamily was with her too. I was trying to find out who was with SGH than I realise alot of you are with KK. When I asked Dr Yu what the chances are she said 20% - 30% just like any normal married couple. I think with ivf is weather the embries implant or not. I asked the nurses if there was any medication for implantation, they told me medical science is advance but not that advance yet, they have not found a medication to force implantation. hehehhe

I started the lucrin injection on 25 May and tomorrow morning will be my last jab (wow..just realized that it has been a month). Tomorrow night will need to go back to KK for HCG injection (that is my nightmare cos of the pain). My ER confrim will be on next Monday.
I started Puregon on 19 Jun and after 7days of injection, I went for scanning on 26 Jun and then today again. I didnt go through blood test, thus unable to tell the level of my E2.
Now I'm already getting nervous of the ER process..

me itch hand and did a hpt just now and got a positive as at 10.5 day past my ET. worried whether the result is true positive. read from the net that the hcg shot needs about 10 to 14 days to clear from our system. and today is the 15th day. i had the shot on the 12th. not sure is it the hcg residual that is being picked up. keeping my finger crossed. will do another test sat and sun to see if the line darken.
btw, i have no symptoms. breast not sore only feel abit of heaviness. tummy abit bloated (maybe i ate too much these few days)

Hi ML, Im carrying Twins. hehehe.. Doc said still early stages, fragile time. try to minimise walkig cause I had a little staining.
Please consider SGH Care if you are looking for another opinion when ur are ready. they are really nice ppl n make u feel safe. keep in tocuh n wish you all the best, Im sure you will have a bundle of joy, mayb natuarally no need to spend anymore $$. hhehehehe
