for me..my boy is vv sticky cos i'm the sole taker for him..n when i'm preggie with my no.2, he become even super sticky..
my experience is tt when he come n visit me in the hospital..he does not really bother mi leh..cos alot of pple to play with him..he oso did not cry when he goes home without me..
the only time he crys is becos the nurse push his bb sister back to the nursery..
but it oso depends on individual child...i do hope enzo wont cry when he goes home after visiting u in hospital..

Apparently the doctor didn't find anything wrong with my maid. But now I'm thinking if I should ask her to go home end of the yr as per her initial plan.
But now a lot of pple ask me to dong for a while more at work cos the economy is not good.

Oh dear...your account of what Lionel did and said really tugged at my heartstrings.
Understand that u have been thinking about being SAHM for quite some time now...really not an easy decision to make.
For me I feel that nothing is more important than the family. If can cope with 1 income and taking care of the children I will not hesitate to stay at home.
I am currently on 2/3 workload and of course 2/3 pay so I can spend a weekday at home with my kids or just do housework or have time for myself. My friends kept saying I should convert back to full time cos really not worth it, since my workload much more than 2/3 and only 1 day off. However I feel that that 1 day is very impt for my sanity and bonding with my family. Though I feel heartpain to let go that 1/3 of my pay every month, I still feel that it is worth it. There is never a 'right' time. I do where my heart leads me to. We just going window shopping or do craftwork at home.
I am sure u do what I do too. Whether to take a step further really needs a lot of courage in this country with high living standards. I also wanna to stay at home for the children. Hoping to find some home-based jobs to supplement DH's income if I stay at home.
Oh dear...your account of what Lionel did and said really tugged at my heartstrings.
Understand that u have been thinking about being SAHM for quite some time now...really not an easy decision to make.
For me I feel that nothing is more important than the family. If can cope with 1 income and taking care of the children I will not hesitate to stay at home.
I am currently on 2/3 workload and of course 2/3 pay so I can spend a weekday at home with my kids or just do housework or have time for myself. My friends kept saying I should convert back to full time cos really not worth it, since my workload much more than 2/3 and only 1 day off. However I feel that that 1 day is very impt for my sanity and bonding with my family. Though I feel heartpain to let go that 1/3 of my pay every month, I still feel that it is worth it. There is never a 'right' time. I do where my heart leads me to. Fully share your views. My prob now is not a matter of whether we can survive on one income. It's whether DH's job will be stable in view of the bad economy coming. Sigh. . .he told me that 5 out of 20 mgrs are sitting on the bench recently. He's due for a promotion by end of year. Don't even know if he'll get it now. Sigh. . . .

Lionel is at it again. Is it becoz u nvr spend enuf time wif him after u come back fm HKG? Take 1 day off & accompany him bring him go school, fetch him back, go lunch, stay home watch tv, etc etc... Maybe he'll feel better then.

Just saw the latest Co. policy. Childcare leave for the year is 3 days. Next year then full 6 days.

As your DH job is not so stable in light of the recent economic downturn, maybe you gotta 'tong' for awhile longer. Boh pianz. I guess Lionel is behaving like this cos it shows he really misses having mommy being around. No matter how... nothing can replace you. I know right now you feel like as if you're being pulled in 2 directions - (1) responsibility to hang on to your job cos of uncertainty and yet (2) you feel a responsibility to be there for your DS. If can... you sit down and explain to Lionel that you also miss him and want to spend more time with him. But right now, mommy gotta work so you can 'buy' him more goodies, etc. But at same time reassure him that he's always most important. Something along those lines. Then you see how the economy fares. If things start to pick-up, then u can 'let-go' of your job more 'peacefully'?
