But one draw back is we had to walk to the train JR/subway station ourselves.

We stayed at Ebisu. Opposite is one Mitsukoshi. We wanted 2 double beds and 1 baby cot. My dad had one double bed to himself. DS loved the hotel room cos he could see his favourite "Toot Toot" from the room window every day.
We need a big room cos we had 4 big hardcases, and all the small ones plus stroller.
