BEST PLASTIC SURGEON IN SINGAPORE

I used to have thunder thighs and flabby arms. In recent years I also have stubborn fat around my tummy area. Busy with work so no time to exercise haha. I recently had liposuction and fat transfer to the breasts by Dr Tan Ying Chien of SW1. I had almost 1.5 L of fat sucked from my thighs and tummy. I was not really unhappy with my breast size, but more of the shape because I always complain that my boobs are too far apart. Basically too much empty space in between haha. So i asked Dr Tan if he can solve this. i told me can be easily done with fat…don’t waste! haha. I am now 2 months after my liposuction tummy and thighs and fat transfer to my breasts. My thighs and tummy are so much smaller now! And my boobs are now much closer together and one and a half cups bigger. Now I have cleavage! YAY! Most important is that they are super soft and natural feeling. Just tot of sharing my experience because after all, this is the place where I learned about fat transfer to the breast :)
Hi would you be so kind to pm me the cost as well?
Thank you

Looking at these posts, they all seem to be posted by the marketing team of a particular clinic. I used to work for one of the clinics but left this industry before Covid. It's a rather unfriendly environment. The doctors all detest each other and it's common for one to create fake rating accounts and post fake reviews just to discredit another.

Don't trust doctorXdentist too much. Originally founded by a doctor, the clinics there pay a hefty subscription fee to be listed, post articles and receive leads.

Let me give you my honest opinion on some of the clinics.. just for fun ><

Dream Clinic - They just keep trying to bury their genuine, negative reviews with (clearly) fake ones and have renamed their business listing name to concierge. Strange how they brand themselves as a Korean-ish clinic but cant uphold their korea clinic standards. Overpromises from time to time but cannot deliver.

Dr Leo - He is not bad for selected procedures but better with aesthetic treatments. Somehow, he's always on another clinics' website as a "guest doctor" so we always wonder whether it's because he doesn't have enough cases or too hardworking LOL

Allure clinic - Reviews are mixed. While they have quite a neat clinic front and nice, the results seem to be 50-50.
I have a friend who did ptosis here and was satisfied (ptosis here is claimable, if you have a rider plan, but the clinic will ker tok you about $15k for a ptosis/double eyelid. The market price is about $5-8k+).

My ex-company had quite a few patients who needed revision after having their treatment done in allure.

Martin Huang - An experienced dr who is not too bad.. after all a "celebrity plastic surgeon. But his prices are not too affordable for the average singaporean.

Sweng - The doctor is known for taking wayyyy too long to complete a surgery. For instance, he could even go up to 2 hours++ just for a breast augmentation. Really question the quality of surgery here too.

Sw1 clinic - The prices here are a little above market price but everything about them is always on point - from marketing to clinic interior. Dr is responsible. Clinic is huge enough and you will get the care you deserve.

Shens clinic - A simple clinic. This dr is popular for breast implants, apparently because he keeps bragging about he being the only dr in sg with the shortest incision point for implants to be inserted- shortest means less scarring. And he is super zai with his vaser lipo. A 32 year old gf forked out $15k of her hard-earning school teacher savings to lipo some fats and she came back with abs, the smallest waist ever and thigh gaps. Also, one thing commendable is that he is ethical. If cannot do, he will say he cannot/don't want.

I would not recommend this place for rhinoplasty though. A patient who had her primary surgery done at shens clinic, found it too natural and not as high/sharp as she wanted, despite telling the dr what she wants. End up had to remove and revise at my ex-company.
Thank you for sharing. How do you know so well all those clinics and surgeons and what do you think about Dr Terence Goh?

Hi Everyone
I am new here - not a young mother or not at all young! haha but wanted to get advice on plastic surgery.
Has anyone done a mini facelift and necklift and if so, any recommendations? Am considering Dr Shen or Dr Adrian Ooi. Pricewise pretty similar. Have done lipo with Dr Shen before - quite happy with that but wondering who is more of a specialist in facelift. Thanks

Hi everyone, this is an update post-1 month after the double eyelid surgery! :)

My eyelids have balanced out a lot. One of it is still slightly higher due to a little bit of swelling but it’s not very obvious now (refer pic below). The other eye is still bruised but i’m lucky that the bruises are hidden under the crease so it’s not obvious. Overall, i’m loving my new lids! I feel that healing could have been better if i had been disciplined to follow the post-operative care. I did not apply cold compress and did not sleep with my head elevated so i have to take full responsibility for the slow healing. Lol.

In any case, in the end I’m glad i chose Dr Andrew Tay. The crease is very clean and neat; and he gave me what i had wanted - natural tapered lids that look like i was born with it hahaha. Also, I think he has very steady hands (which i think is super important for a plastic surgeon!)
During the consultation when he was simulating the different creases for me, he held his index finger up in front of me, asked me to look at his finger and visually follow it as he moved it in different directions. Usually when i hold my finger up, it’s quite hard to make the finger completely still and it will tremble a little bit. But Dr Tay’s finger was like completely still which i think it’s no mean feat.

Anyway, i got to know about Dr Tay through google and internet research on his credentials. If i recall, he has great expertise in maxillofacial surgery which I read is supposed to be reconstruction of the skull and facial structure which usually is done in cases of facial deformities or in accidents which has caused facial disfigurement. I’m not sure about this but it does sound like some high level hardcore stuffs and I thought if he is skilled enough to do such intensive stuffs, he’s probably skilled enough to handle a simple pair of eyelids.

Anyway, i paid about $3k+ for the suture method. Inclusive of all medications. I paid another $100+ for consultation. I had to wait a month to get a slot for consultation and surgery can only be done about 1 month from consultation. So do take note on the timeline.

Just a piece of advice: do give your eyelids time to de-swell. If you read my previous posts, I kinda panicked 1 week after the surgery as the eyelids were of uneven height and i was worried it’s a botched job. It was an unfounded worry as after the swelling went down, my eyelids became more even. Patience with your healing and confidence in your doctor is vital. All the best to those planning your eyelid job! :)

Hi Lemon tart!
May i know how is ya eyelid now? still loving it? I am considering between dr shen and Dr Tay, seems that Dr Shen has a lot of experience in eyelids but come across as impatient.

Hi Christina!

My eyelids have completely healed and yes, I’m still loving it until now, haha. It’s really well-done and looks very natural and soft. I went for facial a week ago and my beautician also couldn’t find any “surgery marks” because the punctures have healed without a trace. I honestly have no regrets letting Dr Tay handle my lids. I’m considering doing an eyebrow lift with him soon because of asymmetrical brows.

If you are undecided between both doctors perhaps you could go for a consultation with both and get a feel of which you prefer? It may costs abit more having to consult 2 doctors but it’ll be worth the assurance especially for plastic surgery. :)

Like you, Dr Shen was also one of my shortlisted doctors but I ultimately decided to go ahead with Dr Tay because way before the social media boom, Dr Tay was already a very recommended surgeon on one of the expat forums, plus I was very kiasi so I did a lot of research and asked around alot. LOL

Take your time to choose a trustworthy doc and let us know how it goes for u! :)

Hi Lemontart, I did the incisional method with Dr Tay exactly 3 weeks ago. So I thought I’d share my experience although you asked about suture since the recovery for incisional is typically greater.
On day one right after the surgery my left lid was very weak and Dr Tay said it is probably due to the LA relaxing the muscle and he was right because after I went home and took a nap it got much better and leveled up with the right eye.
Do note that at the end of day I, my daughter accidentally hit my left eye and it swelled up real bad hence the bruising was very bad. Dr Tay and his clinic assistants are super nice. She checked on me asking for daily photos to make sure my condition didn’t worsen and Dr Tay made a special trip to the clinic to see me on day 2 as I was really worried (the swelling was really bad). But I’m really glad the swelling and bruising came down way faster than I expected.

Hi Milkcandy, can u pm or show me ur after photo. Does Dr Tay charged op threatre n other cost? TIA

Hi all!
I’m thinking to do BA (first timer) and seeking if anyone has experience with Sweng clinic @ Farrer?

Visited Dr Ng at Sweng recently and am very interested in the fat transfer method since it seems to be the most natural BA procedure without introducing any foreign material in the body. The recommended procedure was to lipo abdomen & thighs, and inject fats to the breast.
As other members have mentioned, fat injections will not produce exaggerating and direct 2cups upsize effect.
Dr Ng did clearly explain to me that each procedure takes many hours due to meticulous injection requirement, and that the realistic expectation is half to 1 cup size increase each time.
I’m thinking to increase my cup size from A/B to C/D.
Which will require at least 2 procedures.
I was quoted $70k for 2 procedures…

Based on the reviews I’ve read on this forum, the quoted seems really steep.
Therefore asking if anyone has done surgery at Sweng before for comments?
Perhaps there’s something different with the process that I’m not familiar with and therefore cost more?

Appreciate if anyone can advise.. thanks!!

Hi, i did my my fat transfer to breast at SW1 with Dr Tan and i paid 20 plus K for my fat transfer. I'm satisfied with the results so i don't think i need 2 sessions. 70K price is very expensive though

hi everyone

Just wanted to update my double eyelid consultation here w the 2 popular surgeons:

Dr Shens:
He doesn't seem impatient like what some reviewers mentioned, he used the fork and was able to quickly define the double eyelid. He even mentioned something alone the line that the suture method will last a very long time as if its permanent.
He was quick to see that my bottom right eyelid also need lowering to make my eyes more balanced and also recommended epicanthoplasty ( cutting inner corner of the eye). my consultation was $150+gst

i didn't have any bad feeling during consultation, just feel maybe a lot of cross selling. he seems super confident, gentle, and not arrogant.

His quote was ~$3.7k for his suture method.

Dr Andrew Tay:
He was very punctual, very well mannered and like what everyone said, slow and steady.
He asked many questions like if i have dry eyes, my eyesight and was a lot more detailed than Dr Shens . consultation also almost double the time.
He doesn't mention anything abt doing epicanthoplasty and he strongly discouraged me to do both the bottom lid lowering and epicanthoplasty.

He said the suture method will only last for 3-5 years while Dr Shens mentioned that his method is almost permanent.
He gave me the feeling that i will be safe in his eyes but he's not assertive, he won't tell u what will look better, or whether incisional or suture, so u have to decide everything yourself. consultation is $160+gst

I am incline to go w Dr Andrew Tay since this website has a lot of good reviews about him. At the same time, i am wondering why i am not able to find much reviews for Dr Shens since he has done more than 5000 eyelids. he shld be very popular?

His quote for suture is about $3k and incisional one at $3.8k-$4k.

Which doctor will you choose if u were me? I can't really decide because i really won't want to go for another suture 3-5yrs later.

PMs of your experience with either doctors will also be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!

Had a ptosis procedure with SW1 recently, and it was amazing how Doc YC Tan, and his team made the whole procedure so smooth and seamless.

Really appreciate their professional help for the back and forth with the insurance claims department and helping me to verify with the insurance company. Special shout out to Phyllis for your kind help in all the arrangements, from the operation date to the back and forth with the insurance company, to coming in the Operating room to make me feel at ease just before the procedure.
Thank you Doc Tan, Phyllis and the SW1 team, you guys are amazing! Now waiting for the swelling to go away and see the master piece of Doc Tan.

Thanks for your reply! I’m making an apptmt with Dr Tan at SW1 for assessment, he’s really popular, apptmt queue is around 2 months now so I’ll be seeing him in end Jan.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share my experience of doing rhinoplasty at Dream Plastic Surgery by Dr Yeow.

The consultation went well but I have to say that I'm not the least pleased with the results.

The implant is slightly slanted and the height of the bridge was not as I've requested. =[

Also note that the follow up sessions are chargeable.

Hello,

Am a mummy of 2 kids and deflated boobs, so considering BA. Can I jus ask those who did their BA, does your boobs feel natural to touch after BA? Like will you feel less sensation on your boobs, and will your partner be able to feel the implant? How long does it usually take for it to be more natural?? Wanted to do BA for the longest time, even though hubby said i'm already a mother, no need so self conscious. But i feel sad and demoralised looking at my deflated boobs after breastfeeding 2 kids.

Hi All,

I had my revision/ secondary upper bleph done via the 4-points stitching method by Dr Andrew Tay in end May. Overall my experience was pleasant and satisfactory although my recovery took longer than anticipated for a non-incisional method ( even though i was quite diligent in doing cold compress, walking about and sleeping elevated for a month). I also finished my arnica pills beyond the initial stipulated 7days as instructed.

What was done: Dr Tay designed a 4 point stitching method at 7.5mm for me which is higher than my previous 6 mm. He said although it seems insignificant, the increase will be apparent and is considered quite ‘alot’. As my concern was the strongly tapered eyelids which the previous (famous) surgeon gave me which resulted in my eyes looking squinty, Dr Tay opted for a more parallel crease for me.

Recovery: Having done a stitching procedure before in 2019, I thought that i knew what to expect and would allocate a maximum of 2 weeks for swelling to go down. Instead, my right eye’s swelling persisted for over a month with the 3rd stitching point looking unnaturally high. It bothered me abit and i even began to question if i had made the wrong decision but i just continued with my eye exercises and walking about more. Other than that, Dr Tay said my wound healed well and there’s no infection or bumpiness luckily.

Afterthought: Although i am still not the ‘pretty’ or the ‘doed eyed’ i wish to be, i would say the outcome is pretty much satisfactory. It changes my strongly tapered lids to a more parallel crease which sort of elongates my eyes.
I had done countless research and consulted several doctors before deciding on Dr Tay. Initially I had contemplated lateral canthoplasty as well but of the 5 or more surgeons i consulted, not all are supportive of this procedure and some said the redness will stay for long and it’s not something they would wanna do for patients. Although you still can find some surgeons willing to perform this procedure (like azataca, clifford, shens etc)

This stance is quite different from korea PS industry where they even advocate multi-canthoplasty (i.e upper/ epi/ lower etc).

Lastly, i feel that the expectations before venturing into any seemingly small procedure has to be managed as the recovery period may be daunting and demoralising at times (i even had a few outbursts at my hubby sadly) and even post recovery, you may not look exactly like the KPOP star you wanna be as everyone is different to begin with and to be honest PS has largely been accepted as a cultural norm in Korea unlike SG :)

looking forward to my final review 3 months later and hopefully my creases will look even better. The cost for a revision upper bleph is the same as per any upper bleph surgery (i paid $2.9k+), i thought there would be additional charges but there isn’t.
Can u let me know who was the previous "famous" surgeon? Is it done in SG?

hi,

Read some reviews and find interest

Hi can share the price and how's the result?

Hi everyone!

i just had my double eyelid surgery done w Dr Andrew Tay, the nurses were saying that I shld try to open my eyes wider and try to look left and right to speed up recovery. Have any of you done this ? Not sure if I will strain my eyes too much right after the surgery ? Thanks!!

Hi everyone,

I'm new here. Anyone has good recommendation for incisional double eyelid, eyebag removal and ptosis correction?

Hi everyone.... need help. am really new to this but very determined to do something to myself this year.

Chubby Face - think i am seriously born with this. can i lipo my face?

which doctor would be the best or most preferred for lipo in SIN?

Thank you all in advance for all your advice!

It's been 4 months since I did my BA with Dr Tan. And I must say, he did a SUPERB good job to my boobs! I'm loving my boobs so much now! NO REGRETS! Money well spent!
I was first blown away by the looks of my mom's boobs, which was perfectly done by Dr Tan too. The experience she had with Dr Tan was extremely good, that gave me the 101% assurance to go for it too.

Throughout the process from the first appointment with Dr Tan (along with his friendly assistant Phyllis), to having the surgery done and the subsequent follow-up checks are smooth sailing.

I want to strongly emphasize in this area- the process of the surgery and the post surgery were PAINLESS! I did not feel any pain even during my recovery period. This was the most important factor to me. I feel very safe under the hands of Dr Tan.

I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to look for Dr Tan for BA! You will not regret your decision!
Trust me and Trust Dr Tan!

Thank you Dr Tan, Phyllis and the SW1 Team

Dr Adrian did my eyelid surgery and I’m v happy with the results - basically even and natural looking. He’s charismatic and detailed. Overall I had a very good experience, so I would go back to see him for other stuff ^.^ addicted!
Hihi, mind sharing the picture aft ur surgery? And hw much in total u have paid?

My experience with Dr Chia HL was life changing. I’m petite and desperately wanted to regain my curves after 2 kids. My cup size went down to AA when it was previously a B. I’m very active so any weight I gain doesn’t stay long. So I had 245 cc motiva ergonomics mini implants placed and it was life changing. Most ladies would size up by about 250-300cc but Dr Chia took into consideration my petite frame and lifestyle and recommended I try the mini. I’m quite a fussy person but she helped guide me in the right direction. She showed me a before after simulation of how my breasts would look on my petite frame. Also discussed the weight of motiva implants which was surprisingly light. Mine were placed in a dual plane which meant less visible under the skin and supported by the pectoral chest muscles.

My recovery took 4 weeks only and I was back in the gym doing stepper and cycling. I resumed upper body weights after 6 weeks and swimming with just a sensation of tightness between breasts. My 2.8cm incision scar is barely visible, just looks like shadow.

Overall I’m so satisfied, my breasts are beautiful with a natural shape and soft feel. When I lie down or on my side, they fall naturally. It’s like a built in push-up bra with my pectoral muscles adding support.

There was no need to modify my lifestyle. I can lie on my tummy to sleep but I seldom do, I can cycle and swim but I slow my runs down to a walk to minimise sagging.

I’m happier inside and out and couldn’t have achieved this without the encouragement and support of Dr Chia HL. Her skill is meticulous with an eye for detail. She is tender and kind with her explanation and never ever made me feel awkward or uncomfortable. Highly recommended!

Hi, I’m new to this forum and wanted to check on face threadlift. I searched the forum but can’t find anything on threadlift, hence decided to try in this thread. May I ask if anyone has done face threadlift in Singapore and the reviews? I have been reading up a bit and Dr Issac Wong from the Artisan clinic seems to be highly recommended. Anyone has experience with this doctor? Also what about Mizu Aesthetics with Dr Tan? Thank you.

Hi, has anyone had double eyelid done by

Hi,
Anyone done Vaser lipo at SW1 on face or other parts before? May i have your review and price? Thank you :)

Dear all, today I close the door to the past, and step on to a new chapter with my new looks. I never had confidence because of my droopy eyes and bulbous nose. It makes me feel tired and look old. Years back, people started naming me "auntie", I was devastated and my mood took a turn. I began to stay away from crowds for many years. I knew I needed to do something and I visited SW1 2 years ago, to find the very experienced Dr YC Tan. I had my upper bleph and epicanthoplasty to remove fat and make my eyes look bigger. The surgery brought change and help in my career path.
The results are so natural and recently i did rhinoplasty and alarplasty. SUPER AMAZING RESULTS!!
Dr Tan very professional! With my new face, i feel and look SO much younger.
I am so confident, and I can't wait for any chance to remove my mask to present my face to the world!!
Hi dear! would you be kind enough to PM me your post surgery results? as well as the pricing for the procedure that you underwent? I am also keen to do upper bleph and epicanthoplasty!

Hi Claude, was it a day surgery - are you able to get back to work the next day? Also please can you pm me her consultation / followup fee and your surgery cost? Thanks

Hihi I am rushing to go out so quick post. Georgina I replied your PM.

Short answer I am still searching for the right doc.

but for anyone consider droopy eyelid (ptosis) surgery, highly recommend you also get one consult with an oculoplastic surgeon, the medically trained eyelid doctors like at the Singapore National Eye Centre because they may tell you things your regular plastic surgeon (also do rhino, boobs etc) might not be specific about. They will also diagnose if yours is a medical case (can claim Medisave) or cosmetic vanity (like me haha). Incisional operating on your eye muscles is no joke and it’s advised not continue contact lens use post surgery because you may risk pulling down your eyelid again in 1-2 years.

I feel more informed after getting an eye consult but still thinking about going to the regular plastic surgeon who is more trained in Korean aesthetics for the final result....not sure where...
Hi there, i have eyelid issues, did you manage to get a trusted surgeon ? Appreciate your reply
