Hi ALL MUMMIES,

I had purchased the photoshoot package ($250) from him in October 2010 and immediately internet banking the deposit ($150) to him. We had made appointment for the photoshoot at the end of Nov 2010.

Unfortunately, my youngest daughter fell sick at the end of October 2010 and was been hospitalised for a week. She was been diagnosed with "Hirschsprung Disease". Afterwhich, she was been traumatised by the stay in hospital and from then on she dare not enter any enclose/unfamiliar area.

Due to the above, I requested for the photographer to come to my place for the photoshoot and even willing to pay for his transportation. However, he rejected me due to his tight schedule.

We are left with no choice but to ask for a refund but he immediately rejected us again. He claimed that the package can only be transfer and no refund. I had explained to him that we had no one to transfer and he replied me rudely," XXX, I don't believe you has no friends/relative/colleagues or friends in the forum who you can sell the package to." Well.... I am not ashamed to reply him that I really has no friends, our relatives are already grandmother/grandfather, colleagues are single and doesn't mean that members from "Singapore Motherhood" must has friends from the forum. Sarcastically, he accussed me of cooking up the stories and he don't believe there someone out there who has no friends. (Well.... Does it sound ridiculous to have no friends ?) Despite me kept claiming that I have no one to sell the package to but he insisted me to try and sell away the packages. I even threatened to report him to CASE and he replied,"BY ALL MEANS!"

Thereafter, I explained to him because my daughter is scare of enclose area due to she was been traumatise by her stay in the hospital therefore we have no choice but to ask for refund. And he replied," You should know your daughter well. In the first place, if you know of her condition then you shouldn't signed up for the package." I'm pissed off by his replied. Who can predict what sickness will "conquer" us ? And who can predict when will they pass away ? The worst part was his replied,"I DON'T BUY YOUR STORY!"

May I know which mother in this world will curse their own daughter to be contacted with some kind of disease ? His replied made me went mad. Frankly speaking, I felt disgusted. He is simply heartless.

In our whole conversation, I had tried so hard to explain to him my situation and I am left with no choice but he keep insisting me to transfer/sell his package to others. Is this how a businessman should behave ? Being heartless to others in order to be profitable?

Are there any kind soul out there who can advise me how to get our refund back from this MEAN PHOTOGRAPHER ? Who can I report this case to ? <font size="+1">Or are there any kind soul out there who is willing to purchase the package from us ?</font> Please pm me. Thank you ~

hi,

had a session with albert. in my opinion, not a very nice guy and quality of photographs not very good. Prefer the studioloft anytime.

Didn't like the photos at all and didn't even print any in fact.

Hi Rosnyus, Studioloft? The photographer will go yucks, yucks..when my baby who was teething n drooling when doing the shoot..as a photographer shooting babies n children, she was kind of unprofessional though. This was just my thought

I like their photos, but thot that their customer service could be improved.
 
Yes studioloft has very very poor customer service and the photographer is just purely NO EQ.

Ya, I also thought studioloft photographers are kinda rude, maybe does'nt sound friendly. I called to enquire on their package and I ended up sound like the salesperson, being polite and friendly. But the lady who received the call, sounded as if she's the customer! Not sure who is it though, I called the contact number but couldn't get through, so I called the mobile number provided. And this is the service I received. I managed to book studio play for my last min maternity shoots as I'm due in 3 weeks time. On the contrary, the lady from studio play sounded very friendly n patience. Not sure if they are gd, will feedback on my experience after my shoot on coming tues

Hi mummies, I also strongly do not recommend Studioloft , their service is slow,poor and rude. I would suggest Alvin from dphotofolio. He was my wedding photographer for actual day, very nice guy. He actually specialized in photography for children. I'm thinking to bring my girl for photo shots there when my girl is a bit older.
 
We used dphotofolio for prenatal shoot. It was a lady who did the shoot since my wife did a more "artistic" type of shoot. I must say they are pretty good, friendly yet professional. We get to keep rest of soft copies too. Will probably use them for my babies photo shoot too.
 
I used dphotofolio too and thumbs up for their service. I like the part that they do not push me to take up the package. And Alvin is easy going and patience with us thruout the photoshoots.
 
Looks like I'm not the only one who finds Studioloft service bad! Mummies better think twice before engaging them for photo service.
 
Want to add that I had a very bad experience with Cheers and Tears too. The shoots were not up to standard and he was rough with my girl too. When she tried to take a peek at his camera which he left on the floor, he yanked her away.

I almost used Studio Loft and decided not to after reading this forum and also a close friend told me about their not too impressive service. She also mentioned about their rudeness.

I wanted to do a maternity shots.

Hubby and I finally used White Room Studio. It was a very last minute booking, but Elaine (one of the owners) was very accommodating when I called her on the phone. Because of her understanding, we also decided to book for a Newborn photo shoot. Now just waiting for my baby to come out

. Their price for both packages was also reasonable.

The one who took our maternity shots at White Room Studio was not Elaine, but her brother Dan. He is a nice guy, very gentle, did not rush and very polite and supportive. We chose to do it in their studio which is beautiful. I was 38 weeks when we did our last minute shots and Dan made me and hubby so relaxed. Bless him.
 
True, maryann the owner and principal photographer at studioloft has no EQ and actually no customer service skill. Been with her for 4 shoots. Only consolation is she remember me and my name.. haha.

But her photos are great! of course, if i can get similar qualities elsewhere, i will jump ship anytime.
 
Foreverlove: we didn't have to pay for the rest of soft copy. They will return all to you, just that these pics are not touched up. So u can see the backdrops in the photos. Like what littleangelbabby said, they are not pushy. Easy bunch of photographers to work with. We took the pics and one week later, my wife gave birth. Thank God we took it on time.
 
Talk about photography, I'm also looking for a good studio for family shots albeit.

Tried portrait gallery, uh, ok, and picture me, not so ok, and then recently tried instant glamour, oh my....

Will check out dphotofolio soon! Thanks for recommendation!

Oh u mean, they just return all the rest of softcopies to you without touching up, do I need to request for all the rest of softcopies without touching up at the end of the photoshoot?

Foreverlove: yes, photographer is a female as we wanted to take some artistic pictures for memories.
They will touch up those that you selected (20 or 30 pcs) based on the package you sign up. They will automatically return all the soft copies taken, which includes the 20 or 30 pcs that are touched up and the rest that are not touched up. You need not ask them. This was the deal I had last year and I don't think they have changed. Do ask when you make an enquiry.
 
Found the email on my package. We signed up for 20 touched up pics that was developed into a photo book with a cover pic on the cover of the book. All these 21 pics are touched up. On top of this, they returned the 21 soft copies of these touched up pics and 100+ untouched pics taken. Yes. It's a lot of pics and post and I am wondering if this is the reason why my wife delivered few days after the shoot (too tiring... Haha). I paid $480 for everything.

I tried Ashley low photography when my son was most 2... Think Ashley is really nice and friendly.. Going back to her for maternity and new born shots
