Simple, just pumping while sleeping. So we can still have adequate rest. Lols....
I'm pumping now. So sleepy.....
Anyone applying ru yi oil for bb? My CL has been applying on bb after bath in the morning and wipe body in evening since her cord dropped. But hubby doesn't like the smell. Is it necessary to apply ru yi oil every time!
Anyone using pigeon 2-in-1 body wash for bb? Do I only put 1 little pump into the water for the bath and no rinse required?

I apply for bb too.. But like 3-4x a day.. Nt necessary but is supposed to help to reduce tummy wind i suppose...
Mummies, how much are u feeding your LO and how frequent? My boy is 6 weeks old and he's taking 120ml every two hours. Can drag longer at night to 3 hours. Sometimes I find he's taking too much and too frequent thus making him uncomfortable but if we don't give on his demand (in hoping can drag longer hour) he will cry and cry.

Wah my hubby also doesnt like ru yi oil smell. But i do! Haha. Also, my babe doesnt seem to like ru yi oil too. Always cry when we apply that on her.
We also add one drop of pigeon 2-in-1 to the bath tub thats all and didnt rinse thereafter.
@highness, I'm now doing 8hrly pump. Per pump I target 400ml to meet 1.2l a day. So in order to meet target, I take about 45 min each pump and I massage and squeeze the whole time. After a while, the supply settles in. I also drink alot of pocari mixed with water to keep myself hydrated. So some days i hit more than 1.3l. Just sharing how I do it!

Also, want to find out, how much are your lo drinking? Mines taking 130-140ml every 2-3 hours. She's drinking more than 1 litre a day. I find that very excessive. My previous 2 never drank so much and they are boys. Wondering if I'm overfeeding. But this baby only cries for milk leh. And she drink until I can hear the water sound in her little tummy. A bit concerned. Anyone experience this?

My 5wo LO drinks 110ml every 2-3 hours as well. I also wondered if we are over feeding. However, PD said as long as LO doesn't vomit after drinking and we feed him based on his demand, we're doing good.

Mine stop hurting only after 2 weeks. Try sitting on the float or lie down as much as possible.

Mine hurt a lot after about 1w. But the doctor removed some stitches for me after w1 and it was so so much better. Maybe cuz the stitches were pulling the skin together and that caused the pain.
Have not started using the wash yet as CL is still bathing with water only. Maybe will start after bb is a month old.
Is it safe to let baby sleep on tummy? She seems to like this position.

@happy08 , @szechtay before my Lo stayed in hosp he was drink 150ml, but the nurses helped me cut his milk intake. Now i give max 120ml 3hourly, he sleeps much better. Feed half bottle burp, den continue feed. If nv burp out dont feed cos will spit out milk after 30mins to 1hr if he drink full bottle straight wo burping.
I also think bb finish drink will fuss scream cry means he still wants, but after seeing the nurses taking care of Lo, i think really need more patience. Like carry swaddle, sing song, pat him to slp, walk around, change diapers, keep trying different stuff. See whats the cries about. Den also press lightly on bb tummy see if its hard n bloated, its sign of overfeed for tat meal. Which my bb been having all the time.
Even i DL, he also will push out my nips when he is angry and nv clears the boobs. Sometimes i carry him to burp out n he slps for 3hrs. If nv sleep den i feed again.
I feel i also kaisu keep worrying bbop not enuff milk wont grow.. Haha.
This time round mine is natural tear, but for my #1 epi i also took a longer time to feel less painful, like 2 weeks. But u must take care dont over stretch.. I overstretched myself this time round n now almost 7weeks postpartum still got slight pain

@happy08 its not advisable for bb to sleep on tummy .. Try not to let bb get used to tummy sleeping also, untill they at least >8mths, i feel at least they are able to react by turning back, screaming for help etc.
some bb cant slp on back or sides and will fuss till they slps on tummy!! So young already knows what they want...

I failed.. Haha tried 8hrs 250ml, 5hrs or even 3 hrs also 300ml. Haha. Need revert back 3hourly before trying again.
I totally KO at night, no strength to open eyes jus to pump...
3 hrs 300 ml is a lot wor.. how u do that? I only managed to pump 125 ml after 3 hrs.

Wah. How do u manage to pump after DL? Are u still on confinement? I get so tired after DL ans just want to sleep. How long do u pump after DL?I DL but will pump out excess after the alternate feed..
My #1 exclusive pump, #2 DL 6mths den exclusive pump. This time determined to DL till 1yr old if possible.
Nowadays I no wake up to pump at nite le. So morning first pump can pump 210ml. But this morning oni pump 180ml.
Jialat~Then juz now nap, overslept the pump timing. End up 5.5hrs then pump.
Super jialat~Now Duno next pump wanna pump at wat time Liao. Haywire...

According to the LC tat i seen at tmc, is cos i got alot narrow milk ducts that y have more milk, but also easily blocked.
Now always want to go out shop, den the pump time need plan properly right? Sigh. Sometimes nv bring the lil fella out den cannot latch, but when bring out like so troublesome..haha.
I limit my pump time to 15mins after DL to pump excess or even jus stimulate. Now also lazy, so only pump after 2rounds of feed. If u still on confinement really must be hardworking to pump so can build up the supply...

Sometimes squeeze out like nth, but after 30mins again got milk. That y sometimes must do power pumping to boost the supply.. If not it likely decrease if nv maintain

After end confinement, what are the 1st food that u all take?
I took lots of ice cream confinement, i tot i will eat the food that i craved for the long 4weeks, end up when time come to eat, i no mood or cravings anymore. Sigh.
Now want to lose the weight gained also so difficult...esp the inches on the waist!!

Every 2hr? Very tiring on u all leh.. I feel 3hours also SHAG! Like he drink slp wake up milk, change diaper, den again time for milk....?
Ya better dont increase, jus stick to the amount for now.. Ur LO at night also 2hourly??

I still on confinement another 20 days more. Doing 40 days confinement. Argh. Sian. The first thing I want to eat is sushi. Have been craving it since pregnancy.

Wow 40 days!! I do 28 days, but bb shower 4 days earlier. So only 24days! Tat y now whole body aching, easy cold...

Haha how can dun touch water? Brush teeth wash face, pump, bottle, cups, everything..
Sometimes i wonder how much does confinement truely helps, n to wat extend? Need to be so strict to see results meh? I think back i dread confinement more den the delivery process. Lol
I'm on 28 days confinement only. How not to touch water. Sometimes even have my ceiling fan on. But trying to on air con instead. Worried about aching when I get older. Sigh! But limit bathing with herbs once a day n at night wipe myself.
My kitchen is so dirty now with all the heavy cooking. My cabinets, table top n fridge all white color. Now all stained with CL's prints. My parents coming over to do major clean up for me after CL leaves. My mum said will continue confinement food till 40 days. Cannot eat outside ......
No craving for me now.... Just wish to have a good shower.....lol

Ur shower with herbs is bathing it with warm water right?.. I always add normal water till cool den i bathe..hehe. But with bb ard, very hard to even blow dry hair thoroughly, let alone have a great shower! Now go toilet also chop chop, cannot take own sweet time! Haha.
I want go dye hair, duno can do already or wait few more mth/wk.
Any mummies do eyebrow embroidery? Got cheap and gd to intro? 1st time intending to do
I'm on 30 days confinement but continue confinement food till 40days too. But the longan red dates tea after 30 days is drink on alternate day.

@furbee , can dye hair while BF meh? Tot chemicals will go into our bloodstream. For my #1, I really tahan all the way till I stop milking.

Wa, it's hard to pump after DL when the pump out milk is little and LO need to latch again after 2 hrs.. will there be enough for LO after 2 hrs if pump out?

Yup will have enuff , cos milk is all the while producing when u latch n pump.. Only tat it is sucked out faster den it is generated. For me, i will DL the heAvier side first, den feed the next if bb not enuff.
Do u all experience one side bigger/ more milk den the other ??
For me, the side more milk is smaller. The bigger one is 20ml lesser. Duh...

Yah lor, i worry now abt nite feeding when CL gone. How to pump n feed?? Or shld i just latch at nite? But latching takes very long for my boy, like 1hr now!! Jia latzzz…
I may just give up bfeeding altogether if e hubby cannot help at nite. See how…

I try pumping one side and let baby latch the other. Then next feeding i will switch sides. Apparently baby only needs to empty one side to be full. But I seriously hate pumping. Hurts like hell.
Ya. One big one small. More milk is bigger and less milk is smaller. I asked LC that day about the breast size. She said it's ok. Very normal, some ppl will have one big one small de. Geez. it's very obvious esp when engorged.
My baby is impatient and makes a lot of noise while bf-ing. So I have been doing exclusive pumping and feeding her bm through bottle since week 1.. I also feed her fm for night feed at 11pm and 3am so that she can sleep longer (4hours).
Pros: know exactly how much she drinks, fast feeding time (about 15min), lots of milk supply in fridge, ease to return back to work after ML
Cons: lots of washing and sterilizing, need to buy milk storage bag, lesser bonding time
I also try to coincide my midnight pumping timing with her feeding time so that I need not wake up too many time. So instead of giving up breastfeeding entirely, you may want to consider bottle feeding bm.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Lol me is i miss my koi milk tea soooo much! My CL says wait after 100 days then drink tea. Seriously?!?
For me after DL i only can pump out like 10ml only, before DL max 40ml only. In midnight ard 3-4am can pump more bit never more than 100. Every pump like 20mins.So i think my milk really not much and give up on pumping.

Can i ask mummies when do you stop bleeding down there completely? I understand the bleeding will last for quite a number of weeks.
Another question for mummies who do 28 days confinement, are we able to eat anything we want (including seafood) after that or we still need to watch what we eat, even after confinement?

I had my share of sashimi 5weeks post partum. Sooo shiok. Like its payback time! Hahaha... seem sooo long since I really enjoy sashimi without any guilt.
I think I just pretend not to read the comments abt cannot eat anything raw lah! Hahhaha...
Does that mean steak have to be well done as well? I like mine medium rare! Been abt a year now since I had proper steak!
And also have to wait 100days then can drink tea?! Why?! I drink teh o ever since baby is a week old.
