Can check water bag weight ah? As per my gynae my water bag quite big, a lot of space for my baby. But nv mention the weight.. I guess we are prone more to water retention. That's why gain weight a lot..

my gynae dont check my weight.. so i measure myself at home.. i am 22 weeks now and i have put on 8kg le.. sob too...
 
Hmm..i'll only know how much weight i put on tomorrow. Suddenly my tummy like boom.. its so obvious now.

@angel_loi, didnt know water bag can be measured. At least your baby got lots of space to turn.

Any idea if we can eat salad with meat & egg ? i'm obsessed with salad recently. Made me feel healthy without the guilt of carbs. But its raw, so not sure if its safe.

I do eat salad occasionally. I love the baby crayfish salad @ TCC so i'll eat whenever I get the chance. IMO, i think raw vegetables are safer than eating sashimi.
 
Interesting to know that water bag can measure the weight.

But I know can measure the amniotic fluid Index, during my #1 at around early 30W, detected low amniotic fluid and I was give home rest for 2 weeks, and weekly ultrascan. I was told if the level continue to drop, nothing can be done except c-sect to take out the baby.... so scary....
So better to have bigger water bag ba...
 
I don't really eat raw foods even veggie. Just try to avoid for the time being.

All mummies, do u attend wedding dinner or baby shower? I heard many told me that try not to go as "pantan"
Is that true?

Oh, seems like diff from mine. My friends & relatives told me is during pregnancy. After that is fine.. Actually I'm not really that pantan yet.. Just avoid if normal occasion.
 
For me, i avoid wedding dinmer during the first 3 mths. After the first tri, if there is any i will ask the couple if they mind cos for wat i know some couples mind having pregnant lady attending. For baby shower, i attended, but heard cannt carry newborn. So i didnt carry.
 
Morning ladies, i'm having another bb boy! He is weighing ard 350g now..

Me too.. i will also attend wedding & bb shower but wont touch the bb.
 
I just visit my gynae yesterday. My baby weights is 728g at 24 weeks.

Ya, I will be attend my relatives wedding on next mth. Since we are in our 2nd tri, shd be fine. But baby shower I don't carry baby too..

No worries.. Baby growth every week.. Ideal is ard 600-700g on 24 weeks. Mine is just slightly bigger as per my gynae, so far not a problem yet.
 
I had very bad digestion problems from Week 6 & gradually only improve on 17 weeks onwards.
my gastric would hurt very badly & vomiting very single food that I take. nothing goes in & I've lost 6kg.

for those who are facing the same problem as me, I believe it will get better when the baby is formed & stable, so don't worry.

now appetite better & of coz weight is gained back. I've gained 8kgs @ 20weeks.
 
@leocub u mean baby weighs 350g at week 20? I don't think that's small baby though. I had my 20 weeks FA scan and baby around same weight but gynae had no concern. Says it's average weight! So no concerns there ya ;)

@angel_loi I will be attending a few weddings but not being jiemei... Think dinner or church wedding should be fine ba
 
@babybear33 & @my#2 , would you pls share your package with Studio Memories with me? I'm looking for a reasonable package for my family of 4 before birth. Previously with ABC photography $220+ (include makeup & hair) not bad but but no much pattern/prop on pic so thinking of trying out another studio.
 
Please read more and ask more before making a decision on cord blood banking. Technology has advanced so fast that we should be fair to our baby for the medical decision.

Neuroblastoma, a solid tumor cancer requires only OWN cord blood for treatment.
Cerebral palsy and autism, though both in trial stage, requires OWN cord blood also.
The reason for not using others cord blood is the chances of match is so low as we always see on drama serials that no match is found in critical times. I personally saw my friend slip into depression due to no available matched treatment for her child. So please, consider again and educate ur friends.

@leocub , the rings are interchangeable but look pretty funny on the classic. Water won't leak.

2 things I dislike about the natural bottles is [1] cover is very loose [2] teats not easy to fit in cos the jagged-out design of the ring.

Conclusion is I still prefer the classic bottle although natural looks nice.

Thanks @angel_loi & @3lilowls for comforting abt bb weight. Now I m more reassured. Was worrying and stuffing myself. :)
@agaga, err its does look weird. Guess I m gg for classic too. When u don't offer choices to the bb, he won't have a chance to choose. Thanks a lot for experimenting.
 
thanks for sharing. i eyeing the steriliser & milk bottle only. Now thinking if shd crash at 11am or wait till 8pm then go in.. i hate crowds.

I signed up with them at the expo fair in april. its $248 for both maternity and baby shoots. Package include 1 8R print with frame (softcopy returned) and 4 5R print out (softcopy returned) for both maternity and baby shoot. makeup/hairdo not included, @ $100.
 
@Baobei2014 , I think u can get it at Spring Maternity. Anyway, I wore my usual 2 pcs till last trimester just that belly show abit. My bottom is those tie-type so can adjust abit. If your usual swimwear is too small you can actually just buy normal one 1 size bigger (imo)
I also buy a set of bikini 1 size bigger than usual and wear up till last trimester for my previous preg.

Is this your first child? My friend was with Dr woodworth previously but she changed gynae cos Dr has no time for her. Lol.

Your baby is in ideal weight. Mine just slightly bigger at 728g. Well, gynae always ask mummies to control weight but how many mummies out there really can maintained their weight not exceed 12kg. It's tough lah.. Unless those very petite ladies. All my friends hit more than 15kg.. Haha! This time I don't really eat much but still gain 8kg.. Sob!
 
@babybear33 , thanks for your reply, the price for 2 package is very reasonable but only got back 5 selections is pretty little and each additional softcopy is $15 if I'm not wrong. I kind of like it's studio as they have nice scene though. I think I'll definitely choose many extra and end up pay $200-300 extra.
 
I'm now looking at Firefly Photography, indoor $120 outdoor $98, and get back all untouched softcopies. Saw their work, not bad for outdoor. As for studio, a bit boring though. So I guess I'll try them out outdoor with my family before birth. Indoor studio for new born if satisfied this time.

My gynae didnt ask me watch my weigt.. cos im gaining weight a bit slow.. from i know im pregnant till now, i think i only gain 3kg.. and im cming 25wks.........

I'm coming 25 weeks too. You only gained 3kg? If gynae nv say anything then shd be ok.. As long as baby grow well & healthy. :)

I can't remember how much they charge per piece but buy back all pics is $200.

perhaps you can check out more studios b4 deciding. :)

Wow, the price is cheap for firefly! Can the indoor package be use for maternity photoshoot?

I think mine is more to water retention. Last time I lose weight 10kg in less than 2 weeks after give birth then balance of 16kg, it takes time to slim down. I believe some mummies also due to water retention. No worries.. We will slim down. :)
 
Yes once we give birth we have to feed them at night plus stress confirm can slim down very fast. I got 2 more to take care and no maid or confinement...decide to do everything myself to save $$.
 

Actually was planning to go baby expo but this week just happen I'm going to Msia for short trip. I think breast pump, milk bottle, sterilizer is cheaper than retail promo.
