U are now in 2nd week right. I also produced Ard 30-40 ml in 2 week. I pump every 3 hr interval too. Only these few days in my 3 rd week then supply up abit. It now ranges from 40 ml to 70 ml. Maybe u try to relax n stay hydrated?

Hi Chevy, my last cycle same as u in Kkh, then after 1 year I do my 2nd fresh cycle with nuh n bfp.i didn't have frozen Embroy in my both cycle . In fact this time I only retrieved 1 egg n 1 Embroy transfer .

Koric: currently jabs like hep b n pneumococcal can use baby's medisave. The coming June onward 5 in1jab will be free in polyclinic. The rest of the jabs like rotavirus can use baby bonus to deduct. Mmr jab n dr assessment is foc for s'porean. Hope this will help u.
 
Finally went to Ntuc to buy all baby's stuff like detergent, body wash, merries diaper, breast pad n also standby fm. Heehee with grandma's senior citizen card addition discount on top of the promo price.

Shall see Tmr 1may. Ntuc has what offer. Heehee
 
Yes usagi, today is the begining of 3rd week. You hv given me hope. Hope im like u. Slow but steady..... Pumping now !!!! Lets jia you together!!
 
Tutu/ Usagi, my supply was increasing slowly because of all the breast issues I had. At one time, I could get 90ml. Then two weeks ago, it dwindled because I had very bad engorgement and had to use cold compress. So my total supply went down to 20ml. Now it's 50-60ml. My bb is already 7 weeks old. He is drinking 120ml now. I let him latch in the day and only pump at night. It's still early for both of you I think since it's only been two weeks. Hope your supply will increase steadily in the coming weeks!

Sade, yes! I will try whatever till there's no other solution.
 
Hi Babysmurf, have you done your pre registration at level 1? C sec so much more exp than natural at KK. Wanted to share the A1 Csec package includes 1 pkt of maternity pads - haiz, me bought 2 pkts from Pureen already now stuck w them. Can bring your own diapers n wet wipes for bb tho n tell nurse not to bill for them. KK uses Huggies brand n Pigeon respectively.

Sun is out today - time to wash more swaddle cloths and unpack car seats n body support.

Ladies, do you wash or disinfect the toys (eg Lamaze) before you let baby play with them? If so, any special detergent to use or do you use dettol?
 
Mofmm: dr tan have not given me admission letter. Gan chiong gan Chiong. Will be seeing him next week. So u book A1 for yourself. I only scared wait natural become e- sect. Heehee.
 
Lavender, ya feel cramps sometimes and feel bloatedness as well...my tummy become bigger....
How was your scan with prof onntuesday?

Prof didn't do scan for me, just congrats & say what can't eat n do then say give me more support n 2 weeks later go for scan. That's all. Have u decide which gynae later?

The jab very pain, even after a while after done still pain ...

Hi Babysmurf, Dr Tan also not yet give me mine (next appt in 2wks at wk 36) but still can go level 1 to choose package and book the bed. Price diff between A1 and B1 is at most 1k+ so might as well book A1 so can have hubby stay over n have privacy and cleanliness (no sharing of toilets). Previously when I had OHSS I stayed B1 and so I know how it's like to have neighbors wheeled in and out and their relatives come visit and how they watch TV with sound till late in the night! The quality of food served is also diff - diff menus for diff class wards.

Suggest before your appointment next week, you go level 8 Womens Tower to check out the diff types of ward before making your decision. Level 3 has the B2, B2+ and C class wards.

I checked with admission nurse - if natural (4k+) become C sec, then they will just convert package to c sec package (7k+)...not pay for both.

Yup you can go anytime for the jab between 8.30-5.30pm.. For your scans, your hubby can and is definitely encouraged to be there

Oh ya, for the jab, you'll also be given the option of buying the med, and they'll pass you a letter so you can just get it done at gp..

Ylgoh,

Prof will just give some instructions after BT, cannot scan yet, too early, gotta wait abt 2 wks.. Take your time to look for reviews and think about which gynae to go to.. Prof will see us till abt 11-12 wks.. Hope your bloatedness goes off soon..

Usagi, bcos im pumping every 2-3 hrly n might not coincide with bb feeding. Also i want to monitor my ss. Pumping is also less hurtful. My focus is to increase ss now.

Koirc, if u hv hit 90ml, that means ypur body could do it! Dont give up!!
 
Lavender n Ylgoh, level of pain of jab depends on which nurse does it. There is this older chinese nurse who will rub vivigorously after the jab which helps to prevent a lump. If I recall correctly she told me to place warm towel for a while then rub to disperse the lump. Other nurses say not to rub.....

You do get used to it after a while. Just remember it's for ur babies safety. Before u know it the jabs are just a faded memory.

Mofmm: I probably will choose B1 package. My friend just give at Kkh under A1 natural with epi. Her bill total abt $4k has not add baby bill. Baby bill tagged with our class.

Last time I spotting, I stay at B1 at level 7. Whole ward to myself heehee. I scarely cat. Don't dare to stay alone. Hubby will need to bring food n LRD for me. He need to settle up baby's cot also. We are thinking whether can stay for 3night.

Tutu/ Usagi : You might want to try to increase your liquid intake as it will helps to increase breast milk supply. My confinement nanny advice me to drink 1 cup of longan drink before and after pumping or latching. I can pump about 80ml to 100ml now every 5 hours. I don t pump so often as bb still have jaundice, hence pd advise to give bb alternate of formula and breastmilk
 
Hi Babysmurf, ya some of my friends prefer not to stay alone so have company, & neighbors just in case anything happen. Admission officer will explain to you but A1 and B1 v little diff coz both considered private. Baby bill tagged to our wards but u can see from chart she will show u, tt there is not much diff between the 2 classes for babies bills. If u stay extra night, can use medisave to claim up to $450 which will cover the cost.

Ya I bringing my own diapers n wipes for baby cos Feb expo fair I bought 12pkts of NB Huggies at 3 for $10. Need to clear and dont know what price KK will charge for same thing plus add GST on top of it. Will bring 1pkt of diapers n 1pkt of wipes for each baby for 3 days stay (must check out by 1130am)...saw that is what KK put at tray at bottom of each baby trolley.
 
Small bunny: you are right! Depend on who doing the jab . Some nurses rub , some don't . I was done by the older Chinese nurse bef in clinic g, pain lor cos she rub quite hard.

Mofmm: I just bought merries NB at Ntuc cost $18 for 60pcs. Heehee. Still thinking whether to go baby fair next wk at expo. Hahaha. Don't know have the enough to move my butt anot.
 
Aiya, been so busy have not logged in since Sunday! And this thread has been so active! Ha ha!

Usagi, Koirc, BBshower, znatasha, hopefully situation is getting better and better at home. It is true that having a baby is so life changing and effects all kinds of relationships, with DH, parents, in laws and even friends! It just all takes some adjusting and everything will work out in the end. And yes, it does feel great to vent out here. Ha ha! My DH has picked up his slack and is doing more since last week so I'm happy. Ha ha!

Koirc, how was the baby spa? I've heard of such thing. Was it good? For infant care, we decided to find one near our home because my DH and I travel a lot for work so if it is near home, we can take turns sending baby to infant care when we travel. I live in Tanjong Pagar area and there are 4 infant care centers around my home but when I checked them out when I was 5-6mths pregnant, 3 out of the 4 infant care centers are already full! So we quickly wrote a cheque and booked the last remaining center, which luckily is right next to my block. The one we booked is called Creative Star and it is at Tanjong Pagar CC. If you are considering getting a maid, you can try out PEM maid agency. I saw an ad for it and thinking of checking them out too. They are also a confinement nanny agency but do maids as well. According to their website, their maids are trained in infant care.

Usagi and Koirc, we also made the same joke about the spelling of My First Skool. Ha ha!

Babysmurf, hope your boss let you take the leave arrangement you want. According to my HR, as long as you clear the minimum 8 weeks of maternity leave, the rest can be taken at your discretion but they need to be taken in weekly blocks.

Girl Girl, I'm also taking all 16 weeks at one go because I know that once I get back to work, it will be hard to clear leave again. Also I still have my last year's leave to clear. I will be back at work in Mid Sept and baby will start infant care on 1 Sept so that both baby and I have 2 weeks to adjust to infant care. I'm thinking initially, I don't need baby to be at infant care for full day, I can gradually let him adjust by doing half days or just bring baby home earlier. We shall see

Mofmm, hang in there, you are almost there! You are really commendable for surviving daily vomiting throughout this journey. So when is your scheduled c sec? Ya, you are right. It is fun to spoil baby before they can realise it. Ha ha! I was just about to ask you about your maid. I hope you will be able to find a replacement soon. I just started looking too. Maids are really luck of the draw. Are you choosing Indonesian or Filipino maid? I'm still undecided.

Mofmm, I bought the pigeon liquid cleanser to wash baby accessories. Have not used it though. Also have not bought any toys for baby yet!
 
I also bought liquid cleaner to wash baby accessories. Do u all use it to wash the milk bottles, breast pump before sterilizing?

I having stomach pain before i am otw to eat dim sum this morning and I thought it is due .. False alarm la .
Ha ha I think ur DH start his nesting instinct . My DH also do more wiping at home every weekend . Ha ha..

Babysmurf: I also use the liquid cleanser bef sterilize . I didn't buy toys for baby, mostly handed down toys. So I did a wash with the baby detergent .

Earliest appt is gd! I like.. haha.. FCC already made appt for my FA scan in july and it's 8.30, yeah!.. Ask u ah, does the package cover both the FA scan in wk 20 and growth scan in wk 32? Is your scan tmr covered by the package too or must pay separately?
 
Hi Babysmurf, maybe you can bring about 30pcs diapers since I read tt baby use 8pcs a day? One packet of pigeon wipes 32pcs should be sufficient I think. I packed my marriage cert in tho won't register name at KK since ICA registration is $20 cheaper per baby n I will have 14 days to confirm their names.

Hi Diantang, you wash the soft toys in washing machine with baby detergent? For hard toys, should use dettol?

Today got quite a few things done - unpacked and installed car seat. Thinking whether I should wash the infant insert too or just wipe down with water. Also washed the JJ cole reversible body support n 4 more swaddles using the washing machine. Hand washing is impossible at this stage...in the evening, went to get my push pressie - gold bracelet with dragon n phoenix, really like it tho my hubby said can spend the same money to deliver one more baby at KK (like that will ever happen!)

Hi Lil, u must be busy clearing work! My scheduled C sec is on 23 May so left 3 weeks to go. For maid, I would look for a Philipino maid as I need her to be able to communicate to me when the babies cannot speak for themselves. I guess you have to decide what the maid is for - if purely housework n cooking, and not care giving to your infant, then an Indo maid would more than suffice. But if you need the maid to read to the kids, write down their feedings (time n amount), then best to get a literate Philipino I think. My family had employed both nationalities before at diff stages of what we needed over the past 20+ yrs so I m following my mums advice on how to hire based on needs.

Min81: oh the package include 2 detailed scans at week 20 and 32. The scan that I have tomo is not include . However I doing the ctg is included .

Mofmm : oh I Just hand washed the toys cos not a many pieces with baby detergent .

But today dh was asking me what i wan for my 1st mother's day pressie...sweet! Finally can celebrate Mother's day...my own day!!! Heee.... for baby toys, think you can use the same baby washing detergent for your bottles and pumps since its meant for accessories.

Lil Ponyo, we went to baby spa but didn't go in in the end cos hubby says it's the same as buying the float and let bb soak in bathtub at home! Don't need to waste $38. Haha... Anyway, my workplace is in Tg Pagar area too. Can you advise me which ones are they? I am changing role when I return to work so I will only be traveling once a quarter or once half-yearly. There goes my Krisflyer status. Also, I actually called PEM for maid. Their maids all don't have exp outside Philippines. I don't know how their standard is. And my hubby and I prefer Indonesian maid...

3 more weeks to go for you! Woo hoo! Time is starting to pass faster and faster!

Tonight, we have some guests in town and brought them to eat seafood. I could not 'tahan' and ate some chilli crab! Yummy...Don't know whether it is good or not for baby and I. So yummy but felt guilty after that.
 
Koirc, that's disappointing about PEM. I think we are leaning towards Inonesian too as only need her for housework. Will need to analyse this maid thing more.

The 4 infant care centres in Tanjong Pagar are:
1) Cherie Hearts at Tanjong Pagar Plaza
2) My First Skool also at Tanjong Pagar Plaza
3) Life Journiz on Craig Road
4) Creative Star at Tanjong Pagar CC (this center is brand new. Just opened fr operation in Apr)

Mulberry at Tanjong Pagar Plaza only as child care, no infant care. The other centres at Pinnacle also don't have infant care.

Are there any near your home? Thy was be easier than commuting with baby every day.
 
Whiteclover, the meds doctor gave me is motilium. I think it works the same.

Lil Ponyo, I went for crab feast today too! :D Actually I ate crabs during pregnancy too. Doctor said it's ok and my friends have that too. Just that old people believe that if you eat crabs during pregnancy, your child will always like to touch things. Thanks for the list of infant care centres. I am also checking the ones near my place. Just that I thought if I put bb at the one near office, I can visit him during lunch time.

Min the package starts at wk 22 not 20.
Dian why do u need extra scan? I need an extra scan at wk 28 cos I chose not to do the wk 12 scan n it's twins.

Had a scare on Tues. Felt one twin hasn't moved much for 2 days n top of tummy where that twin is felt smaller than usual. Went nuh for checkup n found that reason is that twin moved down to lie side by side with his brother. Both boys were all squashed at my lower belly n no baby on top! Lol. Guess the boys wanted each other's company!
 
Lil Ponyo: ha ha dun feel guilty . I have also went for chili crab and dim sum bef I pop.

Small bunny: this extra scan is request by my gynea. Got to c position and size of bb . Nuh don't do many scanning as compared to other hosps if u noticed. I do not know my baby weight now since the last detailed scan at week 32.
Btw, u signing up the package and antenatal class?

Chevy, don't cry... I'm sure you will miss your baby. Take leave on and off to accompany your baby and on weekends? Guess its the initial phase and you need time to adapt to it?

Koirc, not really for me. Sometimes she wakes up only 3-4 hours later in the day for feed. Though usually day time she doesn't sleep a lot. So I try to play with her like lying her in the play mat, tummy time etc. If not then leave her on the rocker and I do my own things.

I understand how you feel. For me, last night, I was counting down too left 9 weeks and the thought of the workload makes me stress, end up I insomnia for one hr plus. I tell my hubby I scare I no time to pump but he simply tell me u are a mother too!

Not like they know what we going through. Even just now I was clearing emails then bb cried due to poo. I went pump halfway he cried for milk. Now I am typing as I pump with my emails not finish.

Sob sob. If u scare no time for bb, think of ur annual leave n childcare leave k.

Thanks, Koirc and Dian tang for reassurance of crab feast! Ha ha! It was sooo yummy....mmmm...actually good to eat now because after c sec cannot eat as the wound needs to heal. Hee hee.

Chevy, hope you feel better after a cry. No doubt it will be hard to be separated from baby initially but after hopefully, after a while we will find a good balance between baby and our own time

Can't wait for my check up/scan this Saturday. I am in Week 35 so hopefully baby is growing well and on track. Just want to make it to full term safely!
