Fleefly, why u wanna give birth so early? As much as I want to deliver my bb, I won't consider anything earlier than 3& wks even though baby is full term at 37 wks. As for spider veins, it is common during pregnancy as ur blood volume increases and exerts more weight on ur veins and capillaries. I noticed that mine fades after pregnancy though. Hope it's the same for u

cramps and discomfort: i've active throughout my pregnancy but turning 32 weeks is a nightmare! suddenly i cant seem to walk more than 15 min and my pace is much much slower! omg! still gt sometime to go... any mum feeling the same? and my job is sales based and mobility is extremely impt to me. wish i can just stay at home... sigh....

water retention: also realised my legs have started swelling. eh water retention shd walk more or less ah?i feel like an elephant now!

who is going for baby fair this weekend? i probably have to cause have not signed up for cordlife. i've been procrastinating hoping to get a good deal this week!!!

3rd time mummies, I gg to deliver mt a as well. I didn't noe tt they will provide foc pads, , diapers n panties. Like Sn said, only apply 1st pack or?? I tink I still bring my own ba cos I dun like those loop pads. I bought pureen maternity pad.

fleefly: i've some spider veins on my thigh and the " net work" seem to have expanded during my pregnancy. Dont fret, i also gain abt 18 kg at 32 weeks. You will notice that the spider veins seem to disappear once you elevate your legs, and appear again when u start walking. I think the only thing we can do now is to try to control weight gain, and yes, dun stand too much nor cross your legs.

most books say that the veins should get better post pregnancy... i am not sure abt that though. If it bother u that much, you can try sclerotherapy later on.i t's pricey but works like magic to get rid of the varicose veins and spider veins! i did that before and the results are amazing!

I got mine at watson recently when they have this one for one sales for all watson items. Think $2.90 for a pack of 5s or 7s. Standby/ Intend to use old panties if not comfortable with disposable ones then throw away if it is too soiled with "red".

Re: Maternity pads
I did not buy maternity pads. I bought super long normal pad like 35 cm to 42 cm; heavy/ night flow.
Seems like most maternity pads do not have wings.

Yes! I argue with hubby over the moving of furniture thingy too. Bt he gave in half way. Everything can be moved, drilled & etc except the master bedroom is untouchable & i have to be out of the house.Did that last weekend as we need to clear room for the CL to sleep in. Now i left with master bedroom to make space for the baby cot & etc which i must wait till i deliver. No choice. At least he gave in half way... Let me do up the rest of the house.

Saw this silicon pad online, seems useful & reusesble. It is use the same way as the dispossble breast pad & best if all no leakage. Can we use?

Most mummies are feeling tired & heavy this last tri. Totally agree! I walked half hour bt rest 2 hours. I feel even heavier after meal. Walking extremely slow this tri too. Cant sit, stand nor lie too long.
So far no leg cramps nor the varicose veins( touch wood)

Going to see gynae this sat; week 32. Looking forward to it. What do u mummies ask your gynae every visit?
What shall i ask my gynae at this stage now?Positioning of my bb? Natural?

Heard it is to prevent any extensive bleeding after /upon delivering.

Being a queen is going to be over soon( doubt hubby going to continue to be so sensitive & thoughtful, hmmmm) and i am going to be a maid soon..With sleepness nights. Lol
 
San, ya the maternity pad r without wings. I not used to pad without wings. Just ahead to buy it. Didnt noe cannot take tonic before 1 mth of EDD? Tonics like bird nest? Boiled black chicken? Codyceps? My 32 week appt i ask about whether bb enuff space, enuff water..head down aldy? The clinic aldy booked my labour ward with Mt A way long ago. haha.. but for the bed i cant book cos is subject to availability on that day itself.

I saw the most rave baby wash, Califonia, very ex. For experience mummy, what baby shampoo & wash u normally use for bb? heard tt must be mild & gentle for newborn bb right? Shld b getting at bb fair this weekend. I gg down on Sat.

Yes, normal menses i wear tampons. For lochia cant wear tampon la!!! Esp mine is natural delivery! If wear tampon who dares to insert a tampon into a fresh wound, nt me! I use maternity pad with disposable panties for lochia. Mine lochia is a mth long so just bear with the panties for a mth long =x plus already alot of nb clothes to wash on top of the elder 2 clothes, i dun wan to spend more time washing panties.
I started wearing gstring before i met my hb. Mayb initially he may find it sexy and alluring la. Nw with a 3rd kid on the way plus all the fats, watever stretch marks tat were left and aft so many yrs of seeing me in gstring, i think he is already immuned. Lol!! A sexy nite gown sld do the trick tho. Hahaha!

Last trimester le so u will start to slow dwn as ur bump gets bigger. Try nt to move too fast and go slow if possible.
For water retention, drink more water and rest ur legs higher whenever u sit or lie dwn.

I ask my gynae if baby has head down/engaged, water level normal, baby ok nt. at my 32w my gynae asked me to book hosp. This is his practise to sign only aft 32w. Yes, if u wanna opt for epi let him know earlier.
I still take chicken essence once a week esp when i am v tired.
 
morning, mummies! i took Fri off for ps and decided to take #1 off sc too but he told me there will be a children's day party and he wants to go! so maybe after ps, i will send him to sc so that i can go shopping at expo! :) :) :)

felval, i have not decided what to wear for ps too ... no time to think leh, working hard at day and teaching hard at night!

fuzzybear, what time are you intending to go expo huh? will see if can meet you there.

2013san, i usually ask gynae abt baby's weight as all other info like whether enough water, baby head down etc will be mentioned by gynae himself. this time round, i asked abt pd arrg and abt whether epi spray provided. hb asked whether edd remained the same (coz of his biz trip .. haha!). then gynae gave pre-admission letter and went through admission procedures and whether i intend to take epidural etc. i also asked abt subsequent checkups ahead, how many wks interval. you may want to raise any discomfort you have now (if any) and see what gynae says?

pinky, i will continue to use traditional brands like Kodomo and Johnson coz #1 also using the same.

Oh... I m a SAHM.. And most of the time, I m put to bed rest during this preg... So it must be the crazy weight that piled up! :(

Wednesday today, officially just 2 weeks away from the day!

last night, i suddenly have all this fear of my two mils (mil and her sister) visiting during my ML! i hope they dun come more than once a week now that my new house is so near theirs!!!!!! ARGH!

Little Prince, I shd be there about noon.. wanna meet? if yes i can PM u my hp. :) how's ur maid? has she decided on the cctv? my new maid doesn't seem to be able to relate to kids.. she is pretty fierce to my boys to the point that my parents were a bit shock. but i reckon its the tone of her voice. we still dun dare to leave the kids alone with her while hb drives me to work (hence the 2 puking episodes in the car in the past 2 days).

Pinky, i tried California Baby before and it gave my kids rashes.. zzzzz infants i use Sebamed or Cetaphil Restoraderm because my kids' skin are super sensitive. when their skin is better i just switch to J&J. works for them.

San2013, u shd be given ur pre-admission slip soon. then can book what type of room you want. don't worry abt epidural. when u are in labour then u judge if u need epi. :)

totorodino : I understand that Mt A provides basic toiletries, 2 packets of pad ( 1 pkt in delivery rm and 1 pkt in the ward) and diapers. I didn’t take note how much packs of diaper. I guess already charged into our delivery package that’s y so call ‘free’… Will b chargeable if we request for more.

tequila_sunrise : I feel the same at wk 34 now. Can’t seem to walk too much and very slow. Seems like a hogging the way during peak hours!! For water retention, I think we should walk less bah… My legs swell even if I sit down. I hide a stool inside my partition to rest my leg. Same level as my chair (not elevated) and I find it helps to reduce the rate of swelling… Massaging the foot helps too.

2013san : I didn’t know we should refrain from eating any tonic one mth before your EDD. My friend advise me to drink a bottle of chicken essence b4 admitting to hospital for delivery!! Any mummies did that previously?

First preg I gained abt 17,18kg nett throughout. And that was with a 4 kg loss during first trimester! Sigh when I get preg, nothing is within my control....

Fuzzybear, I was just thinking abt it lah, I mean I oso know best is to hold the preg till at least 38 weeks with matured lungs... Just can't wait to pop! Actually this blind date at the fri bb fair is quite a nice n exciting idea! Hee...

I did bring toys but i was stuck in a massive jam from Lornie all the way to YCK road.. my office is abt 10km from my home but it took me more than an hr to get there.

FB is really too many ppl.. i dunno how to contribute man!

GM mummies, long time since i logged in... hectic work n caught with cold n cough... feeling better now... but feeling heavy, cant walk much... tired all the time... my leg cramp is damn irritating... on n off i am having backpain... is it common during last trimister? i dont remember having these discomforts during #1...

i have gained 14kg at 34 weeks :( gynae didn't say anything on weight... my baby turned head down... hopefully can go for normal delivery... i also got pre admission letter from Dr... i haven't booked hospital yet not sure if i need to ... will check with Dr next appointment on 16th Oct...

SN, urs 2 week away to hold your baby on ur arms... i cant wait for my D day :)

fuzzybear, LOL! is that your #2's usual habit of inducing himself to vomit?? eh, you PM me your mobile and we exchange mobile ctcs first. i let you know by tmrw as i need to check with sc tonight to see what time is the party on Fri. my maid is so far ok ba (i reduced my expectations to very minimal now .. LOL!), she is very free coz nothing much to clean at my place (and there are certain areas i prefer to be around myself to get her to clean). she didn't say anything abt the cctv anymore so i guess she is ok? she seems more cheerful too after continuing with her off days on Sun fm last week (she didn't get to go on the 1st Sun when she came to my place coz we only fetched her bk on Fri and I wanted to take Sun to brief her on certain things before I resume work on Mon). her cleaning is pretty sub standard (but my collgs comforted me tt their better maids are the same too, just get them to clean and clean again until acceptable lor since now got time) and #1 dislikes her cooking (so i need to teach fm scratch as and when i have time else i ask her to prepare ingredients and i cook when i am back). but i think she is genuine in liking kids la, she likes to joke with #1 and also joked with my half daughters when they came over last Sat for a while to meet us to go out together. anyway, will continue to mtr her lor. you know, i feel soooo happy when its her off day (she happy, i also happy!) coz i am not very used to having someone else around the house. how do your kids feel abt the maid? they like her despite her tone of voice or they don't like her?

febie, we can all exchange hp numbers for those who intend to go to the fair on Fri? then we can confirm the timing again on the day itself and try to meet up? PM me la if you want. i am in my 32nd wk, the nurse gave me the pre-admission letter (with confirmation of my room booking) so i took lor. she said if any possible signs of labour from now on, go direct to delivery suite with the letter and they will check me there. pinky, did you receive the same letter yesterday huh?

Last 2 pregnancies, I bought Madamme brand maternity pads, this time round, I just bought normal ones, but longer with side gathers type, 32-35cm.

Gynae's nurse already gave me the hospital admission letter, and asked me keep with me, whenever I go, in case , need to admit, although Mt A confirmed my booking, but type of room depends on availability upon admission.

Epidural only need to tell the midwife or doctor when in the ward, don't remember telling gynae in advance for my past 2.

Who has bought the Strip $25 Brazalian Wax, and when will you all book an appointment? I was thinking of 2 weeks before my EDD, mid October, hopefully I don't pop earlier than that.

I also did not buy maternity pad... dunno how to use the loop one and need the nurse assistance...
I just buy the longest sofy at 42 cm... super kiasi...
ya need to look out for the waterproof sheet at the fair too...
I only have a piece left during #1 time in the car for standby... wonder if it still works... hahaha

Only managed to sleep at 3am.. Tummy was tense up n I was thinking what are the chances of me dilating without me knowing? So now going to monitor also..

I will probably be going down on sat instead of fri cos hub not free... Can share if there is good buys? Intend to get bb necessities cos haven't really buy those stuff..
 
Wah, I see some of u going for the fair this fri, should I or should I not go on Fri? Hubby only free on Sun afternoon, but I'm scared by that time will be very crowded. Some more Sun means having to bring #1 along, so tiring. Mummies going, do u think bringing a grocery shopping trolley will help in lugging things around? Very auntie, but aiyo, I already turned auntie a while back.

Fuzzybear, FB anytime can put comments la. I only started one month ago, like/dislike and commented any time. Very hard to keep track who's who anyway, so doesn't really matter when u come in lor.

I also got my admission letter at week 32. Supposed to bring for every checkup from now on. Gynae told me at my week 36 checkup, got to do vaginal check. Eeks!

2013san, when pregnant with #1, I was the QUEEN! Then bb came out and i got demoted to cow and maid lol. Now with #2 in tummy, QUEEN only half the time cos hubby busy running after #1 when not working hehe.

Mt A provide the blue waterproof sheet to place on the bed, I think everyday they will replenish, but should be in the hospital bill.

LOL ankh!!! yea after #1 came out, also demoted to cow and maid. now #2 in tummy, no longer cow, but still 50% maid, and maybe only 10% queen lor.
 
Febie: I saw mothercare selling the waterproof sheets to be placed on the bed but cannot remember how much it is.
I bought the disposable maternity panties from mothercare and felt like kanna conned. Their material is the uncomfortable paper type not the cotton type one lo.

Somemore not very cheap lo. :(

thirdtimemummies, try to go braziilian wax near ur edd cos i heard tt it trigger contraction. But if u have been ggg brazilian wax before den i tink shld b safe ba.. I dun need to go for any wax... i will jus show my "forest" to the nurses.... haha

littleprince, yup i oso rec e admission letter. must bring this letter everywhere i go as advised by the nurse. Even the next visit, oso must bring to the clinic. Cos i not delivering at TMC so i dun hab confirmation letter for the bed. The bb body wash/shampoo for kodomo have many different kind. You uses which color of the bottle?

I gained 7 kg so far and I am 33 weeks. Hope bb would have gained weight when I see doc next week.

so active on forum today. im back on mc today. cant seems to be able recover from this bout of cough and flu. hope to recover by Friday to join u mummies at expo. I got lots of things to buy!

When to see gynae this morning. I gain just 300g for the passs 3wks and Bb gain a whopping 600g he now weight 2.1kg at 32wks. Sounds very heavy but doc says that's it's ok. Got my admission letter too. Tried doing a 3d scan of his face but his hands is blocking, can see the face well.

U dun nd to worry abt whether u have dilated or nt. 1st time mummy can take a long time to dilate over days or even weeks. if u have contractions with backache, time it. If its regular for over a period of time then u sld head to the hosp. U sld be monitoring ur contractions as its the best indication of when u sld head to hosp.

This aunty colleague said i kept sitting down and never walk enough. duh. sounds like i better "report" to her each time I walk to the market to get my lunch daily and each time i walk to the toilet. these people never think that not everyone is suitable for walking so much. people with placenta previa, certainly shouldn't be walking so much. but i too sian to talk to her also. yawn.

haha Febie, the best part is the aunty asked me if i dont have to go toilet at all? I was like "huh?!!!!!! I go to the toilet so many times a day!" in a super incredulous tone.

sabrina, hahah yea, super apt description, string stuck in butt crack, that's y some super narrow underwear, i cant take it also. but i think it's all about getting used to it. since val wears it for so many years already, the string in butt crack is no feeling at all now.

talking about weight control, I feel like giving up already, cos there's only 2 weeks left, feel like just eating whatever i want now. maximum i could gain is 1kg a week if i eat whatever i want now? hahahah. I have been controlling so hard...... and also cos tingkat food really sucks that i havent been eating rice for dinner, just the dishes only. yesterday was the official last day of my tingkat. hooray!!!!! really bored of it already.
