I'm new here, have been a silent reader since this thread started but didn't wanna say anything cause pregnancy wasn't stable yet.. started with cramps even before i tested positive and then spotting from week 6.. so have been on duphaston and weekly progesteron jabs. have been really stressful for hubby and me! not forgetting the daily MS :/

now at 11 weeks and am glad that cramps are gone and havent been spotting for about 1 week +. Hope to reach 2nd trimester soon!!!

me too having stomach cramps before tested positive & have been on alternate day progesteron jabs. Hate the painful jabs but gynae said i had miscarriage March this year so no choice. hopefully he will change my progresteron jab to weekly after my next week visit.

wow alternate day jabs?? tough on you! can u DIY at home or gotta go to the clinic? troublesome but at least its safer and hope it puts your mind at peace
another doctor jab me once and it was SO painful. luckily now Dr Ho's nurse does the jab for me, she has a trick - gets me to cough twice and jabs so i am distracted and dont feel the pain haha

how many weeks are you at now? heard that 2nd trimester should be more stable?
 
Out of sudden, i feel sharp pain.. I got fear and check any spotting but there is none.. Not so sure what is happening.

Lee: What kind of settings i need to make? Or i add you?
 
apple and ahchris: You can go to privacy setting, then "How you connect" and edit settings. Then set "Who can send you friend requests?" as everyone.
 
hi imogen,
we can't do progresteron jab on our own since it is oil based & need bigger needle.. I need to go to clinic on alternate day for the jab. i cant imagine if we do it on our own. it is so painful & if jab wrongly will leave a huge big lump for a week!

( maybe i try to use your trick, cough twice lol. I am only 7th weeks plus... still long way to go...

chelz, my gynae nurse taught my hb how to jab me with progesterone and he has been doing twice a wk for me for about 2 wks already and all is ok. Yes, the trick is to cough. you can ask your gynae again and get your hb to learn and jab for you. coz very time consuming and expensive to get the clinic to jab for you.
 
I'm on progesterone too, but it's vaginal inserts called crinone. I do it every night. I'm not spotting or cramping, it's just SOP for ivf patients I think.

Last week my gynae said I could stop the inserts. 4 days later I saw 2 tiny blood drops on my panty liner. Gynae checked and confirmed there was a bit of blood in my womb. Even showed me on the ultrasound where the blood was - a block dot below the sac. So I'm back on progesterone until my OSCAR next week. By then, our placenta will be producing enough progesterone. I didn't experience any bad crampings or spotting, just that I walked a bit faster than usual during those 4 days! So now I have to keep reminding myself to go slow, and take things really slow and easy. Gynae advised me to just relax and do nothing once I get home from work. Soon it will be ok

The progesterone is to help our uterus to relax, so that there will not be too much contraction, which keeps the baby in place. The contraction is what causes cramping and/or bleeding.
 
I was told to take progesterone pills coz due to last mc. But I didn't go clinic and take coz last mc I took, still couldn't prevent from happening. Plus the pills makes me wanna vomit and gets disruptive for my work. So I totally skip that this time. The cramping started to come back... I Juz hope can wait till Monday appt.
 
mareikebb, u dont need to go to clinic for progresteron jab. can save alot of $$$. not sure my hb dare to do it or not.

ica, your OSCAR test is next week? so fast... me still long way to go

turuko, i thought gynae will advice those who had MC before to have progresterone jab & pills? yeah, the pill will make us dizzy. I take 2 pills at nite before i sleep & will wake up ard 4-5am to take another 2 piils so that i can continue to sleep. otherwise i dont think i can go to office after taking the utrogestan pill.
 
Chelz, yeah my oscar is next week. Supposed to be the week after next, when I'm 12w but I'm going to Seoul so scheduled it for next Friday instead. I will be 11w5d, so still within the oscar testing period lah.

those taking progesterone, etc, please be diligent and continue taking until gynae gives the ok to stop. usually after 12 or 13 weeks, can stop such support.

Does that mean I m 10 wks 5 days now?
 
Yeah, doc insisted I take... But me stubborn coz it's disruptive in work. (although I've quit and tmw is my last day)
See what happen on Monday. I might Juz get scolded...

Ah Chris,

Having #2 shouldnt be smthg you need to convince yourself. When you feel the time is ripe to have #2, you have it. Just like when you wanted to get married, its a natural and progessive thing.
