Rachel: I feel that weddings, full month and birthday celebrations are ok. But good to check with the host first and make sure they are ok too. I think birthday shouldn't be a problem at all. =)
 
hi all mummies, how r u all feeling?? I just tested positive over the weekends.. should say I am at my 4 weeks now.. but so far, I still feeling fine.. no symptoms yet.. can I check with you all when does your symptoms start to kick in? don't know if I should feel worried not..
 
shirley me also..no symptoms le..worried also..me tested postive last weekends..my ms kicked in ard 8-9 weeks bt lasted till 5.5 mths for #1..
nw im starting to feel v tired..bt i duno is it cuz i look after #1 , tts y so tired

hi Joyce, how many weeks r u now? have you fix your appt with your gyne? I just fixed my on 13 Sept for my first appt.. hopefully cam detect hb.. praying real hard for this pregnancy.. I am also thinking if I should make my way to kkh to check my hcg or just wait for my appt...
 
I agree with Joyce! Happy events why not? Unless during kids party they run around and bump into you by accident? I have 2 upcoming weddings which i'd be attending =)

Shirley my burping feeling started ard wk 5? But my hormonal acne started way before..maybe u are one of the lucky ones who don't have much symptoms..
 
Some GP can do blood test but gt to wait a few days as they sent to lab

shirley im in usa nw..they onli attend to me when im 10 weeks preggy le..my menses started 12 july..bt my cycle 37 days..so i tink mine end apr..me also worried lo..my appt 03 oct..my bday..wahah..my tummy no feelings le..no cramps etc..sometimes worried also..

i also forget wad is the feeling for my #1 liao..haha..i hope my preg will be smooth like #1..cuz wanna have horse bb after snake
 
Ocean, I've been taking GNC's Prenatal vitamins...but gotta take 4 capsules (2 for Folic Acid/ Iron etc, 1 for Calcium and 1 for DHA). Showed the content to my gynae ytd and she said its good as it has everything...u might wanna try...but the capsules are too big for my liking so lately i can't seem to swallow them well...
 
jocye: Every pregnancy is different. So far, i only not much appretite and frequent crmaps. I also count based on my LMP 23rd Jul, EDD shd be end april.

Rachel, I was previously taking GNC prenatal before I conceive and I remembered the pills were BIG. So, I may skip it. 4 capsules, that is a lot! So, u mean in addition to taking the GNC Prenatal, u still take others?
 
apple me also nt much appetite..today v tired le..body aching..duno is it one of the symptoms also..tmr i monitor again for aching body..i check online..my edd ard 26 apr
 
Ocean, lately I couldn't take the vitamins as they are really too big! Funny...i used to be able to force it down but now its like the more I try, the harder it is...

Apart from the pre-natal vitamins Im just drinking Anmum once a day...
 
BTW, i just told my boss about the 'news'! and I'm kinda angry and disappointed that THEY DO NOT GIVE TIME-OFF FOR ANTENATAL APPOINTMENTS! It's like WAD THE HELL right? But I remember seeing from MOM's website that employers HAVE TO give time-off for such visits? Anyone could clarify?
 
Rachel, I totally understand. The only pill I enjoy taking right now is folic acid because it's so small and tastes a little sweet. lol
 
rachel take mc for every visit ?? i took mc for every visit..then some of my frens will ask for hospitalisation leave to stay at hm if mc exceeded..bt adrain tan dun gif hospitisation mc..haha
 
Rachel, I don't think it's stipulated by MOM. I think it depends on what your org HR policy is on this. I maybe wrong abt the MOM portion. Maybe other mummies can help?

If they don't give u time off, then why not make ur appt in the afternoon and take half day MC from lunch onwards.
 
Rachel: Neither does my previous and current company. Is your gynae open on Sats? For me I usually schedule my appointments in Sat so that I do not need to waste my leave.
 
I'm starting to get worried, all of you seem to be able wee your baby at 6th weeks. I don't see anything, just a black full stop. The Dr even ask me again, r u sure u saw 2 red lines on ptk?
Am I abnormal?
 
Mocca: Does he mean a sac or just a dot? If it's a sac, it's still very small. But by 7th week, you will most likely be able to hear the heartbeat.
 
He didn't even tell me is a sac, at that time I still haven't learn these terms yet. Only learnt from here.
I saw a black dot only. I was hoping my ovulation was late that y fertilize late than u all. I know sound like comforting myself but that the only reason I can give myself now
 
Does anyone know any good gynae in the East, preferbly in Pasir Ris or Tampines? Initially i thought since my employer gives time-off for gynae visis I just go KKH since its the nearest to my office...they told me to arrange for gynae visits on weekends instead..walau, taxi fares from my house in Pasir ris to KKH very expensive le..
 
Mocca, when is your next appt? It's understandable that you are anxious. It maybe just a black dot or it maybe a sac but because it was not magnified, therefore, it looked like a black dot only.
 
I have to take leave to see gynae..no mc..
and there's certainly no time off for antenatal aptmts..

Mocca, i only saw a peanut in the womb..
 
My workplace secretary whom I am very close to, suspected that I was pregnant the moment I told her I was given 2 days MC last week. Even my other colleagues were worried when they knew I was on MC, coz I seldom take MC. But lucky got her, coz she helped me to cover my pregnancy by telling them that I had a bad flu with fever after I came back from BKK.

She's a mother of 2 and quite experienced when it comes to the food I need to avoid. She bought me this DELROSA concentrated rosehid syrup from NTUC. It is a good source of daily vitamin C. Mixed with water and drink. Also suitable for children.
 
I think the clinic I went to give time off as I heard the nurse asking another patient about it the last time I was there. I would advise to look for clinics that are also open during weekdays evening. I am not sure if my gynae is good or not as there isn't much review on him, but I decided to stick to him as the location is at Tiong Bahru mrt and I have direct bus to get home from there. My company accepted time off too, but so far I fixed my appointments on a wkday evening to accommodate my hubby's time and also partly due to the fact that I want to hide from my colleagues about my pregnancy.

I had signed the package on my last visit (2nd visit). Paid about $700 for the package which I only remember that it includes all the consultations and scans till I give birth.
 
Angela: I add a lot of water with the syrup, my colleague said it should be bland when I drink with water. She also wanted to buy milk powder for me, but there's no stock on the small container. Forgot the brand, will check the brand.
 
Mocco Mama: Dun worry, as we won't know what is the ovluated day. So sometimes based on LMP may not be accurate too. I remember last time during my 1st visit for my no 1, i went during my 7 week plus based on LMP, but scan only 6 week plus, late by 5 days.
 
Hi Rach, is sk far for u? There is one Gynac that has evening clinic, that what I look for when short listing gynac, so that coy won't get pissed off with too many mc. Most coy give 14days mc a year only. We still got days where we unwell, need to buffer in.
Ocean, does the Gynac magnify the screen for u to see?
Rach, peanut still a shape. My Gynac seems unsure also. Try to do virginal scan to double confirm. Still a dot.

Nope, my gynae is a male one, Dr Woo Bit Hwa. I stayed at Dover area, so I tot Tiong Bahru is convenient for me and my hubby to go from work and got direct bus to go home(I worked at Kallang area and my hubby at tanjong pagar). I thought it will be cheaper to sign package as each time I see the doc, scan + consultation is close to a hundred. And they offer the package starting from the 2nd visit. I also lazy to search ard for gynae and not convenient to ask ard for gynea. So I decided to go for Dr Woo as I think the nurses there are quite nice and polite.
 
Apple gal, thanks but u know, been first time n I wanted a bb badly, can't help but worried.

My family is not been supportive, my elder sis is also preggie but she doesn't give any advice. Ask one q reply one word kind. She was pissed with my mum for telling me she preggie too cos not 3 mths yet. I'm like huh, I'm your immed family.

Now, I can only come here n ask my close friends for help n advice. Thank god my hub is been very supportive, if not I will goninto depression again

Mocca, I think u are normal. Some baby grow slower. But as long as they grow should be fine. When is your next visit?
 
Angela: you also seeing Dr Fong? Zenn Zenn got recommend Dr Fong to me before, but I was too kan cheong when I had spotting after I came back from BKK, so didn't tot of Dr Fong at that time. So happy to see someone also from Dover, I am staying in the new blocks, Blk 28D. How about you?
 

Zen, next visit is next wed. One more week to go, time passes so slowly nowadays.

I'm thinking go for the expo this weekend, cannot buy see baby stuff I also happy!
