my fren just gave birth to her 3rd girl =)
her girls are so bonded and they look after each other well...

i think the most important is siblings get along with each other..

my colleague is in a family of 4 girls..they take turns to bring their parents for holiday.. *envy*
 
Hi all I went for my first gynae visit today n bb is 7 weeks old. Edd should be around Xmas. But gynae told me most probably he will be taking leave in dec. headache now. Don't know should change gynae ma. Any views?
 
oh. i think maybe u shld consider changing gynae.. my own opinion la. ;)
I'll prefer my gynae to be around when i'm due (if can la) since he is the one u will be seeing thru'out the preg & you will wan someone u can trust/familiar with?

Discuss with ur hubby and see what works best for u? But he is not bad la, haha still tell u that he is going on leave in dec.

Haha we are both in the same boat. Due near Xmas n my gynae also tell me he'll be on holiday. Maybe same gynae? Now dunno which gynae to choose also.

Ya tats Wat I feel too. Prefer to have same gynae throughout too. I checked with my previous gynae n his asst also told me usually he will go holiday year end too. Headache now.

Hmm is it true that baby or kids will know we are pregnant and they actually know the baby gender? Lols my niece about 18 months yrs old sit beside me sayang my stomach!! Was shocked.
 
Oh Ashley who is your gynae? Mine is dr woo bit hwa. My previous gynae is dr fong yang.

Jellow: When my sil was preg with #2, my niece said it was a boy and indeed it was a boy! Wondering is it coincidence or they have ling gan?

Mine is Dr Lawrence Ang. He recommended me to try another gynae near my area but said try n see cos he heard that other gynae also might be going for holidays too. Looks like year end is a prime time for gynae holidays
 
Can I ask, those Of u with an older kid, how do u spend time w them when u feel unwell and tired all the time? I'm so guilty that she asks me tO do something w her and I always say I'm v tired, Tmr do ok? Then Tmr comes I not well again and give her the same excuse. Poor girl.

ohh, can we still eat kimchi? Got the craving. But it is preserved vege.....

Bought shark fin soup yesterday from a nearby mall, so yukky! I tot i was eating glue instead....
 
Tigermum - I'm not too different from you then. My LMP was 21 March but I'm only 6+ weeks. Still got a long way to go.

Now that you all mentioned about gynae going holiday, i wonder if mine will too. Must remember to ask the next visit.

Liquideyes : I have the same issue with my girl. Every night, after a few rounds of vomitting, I'll just go to bed and lie down to rest. I have to ask her Daddy to accompany her. Feel bad about not spending time with her for the past weeks. I keep telling her, Mummy is not well and wait till Mummy recovers.
 
snowen, how old is your girl? mine is already 5+ so she somehow still understands...

i just got to know that almost all my daughter's classmates know that she's gonna be a big sister soon ... it started from 2...and now ALL...
 
sasayeo, me too dunno how it works, my last period was at 8 Mar. I visit gynae on 7 may and it shows 8wks 5 days. I was expecting to see ard 7wks based on my previous visit 3wks back (it shows only 4wks). Does tat mean my bb is big ? *blur* I even noe my ovulation date cos i use the tester.
 
morning, i had a hard time breathing too...cos i am down with bad flu...sob sob..air con in office makes it even more difficult to breathe.

I still got 3 more weeks to end of 1st trim and my bottoms are bursting alr. really reluctant to switch to maternity wear this early. I only started my maternity wear when i was about 14-15 weeks for #1..growing fat fat fat!
 
kidomum: my girl is turning 5 this year, 2007 baby. Yours is 2007 too ? I haven't tell her about the baby yet.. Don't know how to put across to her. When did you break the news to your girl ?
 
sasayeo &　chubbyfingers: my last period also around 2 March haha! But i am on week 9 this week!

Started wearing all my baggy tops.. jeans still managable to button.. i think after lunch can loosen one button hehe
 
sasayeo: my EDD is 7 Dec, according to the gynae and the iphone apps I have. By right, today, we are officially 10 weeks pregnant, we will be 10 weeks and 1 day by tmr and so on.

Sun_tan and sasayeo: u r not alone. i cant wear my work pants unless i dont button/buckle up. sasayeo, maybe u wanna pace urself for ur meals. perhaps u ate too much at one go, and that causes indigestion and puking.. i also suffer bloatedness and find myself sleepless at nights

sasayeo, if your ovulation is exactly 14 days after 2 March, then like what chubbyfingers say,
should be 10 weeks..

but if your ovulation is late for 1 - 2 weeks after your last period, then your EDD can be delayed coz it's supposed to be based on actual.
I guess during the initial period, it is probably accurate that gynae get the EDD by measuring baby's length.

during my #1's time, the first gynae told me i had miscarriage coz he only based on LMP and then couldn't see fetus during the initial scan.
when i went to scan at hospital, they could see. so i think it can really vary by people.

for me, this time, i used the ovulation kit during TTC period so i know the date of my ovulation.
 
sasayeo, I saw that my gynae took a round table thingy, then he will see from the scan how many weeks i am at the particular date and from there whats the edd. Eg the scan says (i guess the machine has some configuration which says xxmm = xx weeks and days)i am 9 weeks 2 days on 7 May, then from the table, he will link 9weeks 2 days to 7 may and see whats the corresponding edd.

When I had #2, I just lay down beside my #1 and let her play beside me. Let her watch all the barney she wanted. Very bad but what to do? No choice. Just lucky that I had my mum to help entertain her then.
Now am hoping the MS wun be as terrible as the last two times.
