i am in the UK. I remember when i was expecting #2 i was on the oct 2006 thread and i mentioned that i was craving chwee kueh desperately but had no access to any and i made all the moms on the thread crave chwee kueh too the only difference is they had access..

ooh chubbyfingers, before i had kids i used to roll my eyes up at screaming kids in public, and swear to myself that no offspring of mine will be like that.. with 2 kids 5 and 7 my skin has become so thick.. (although i am still delusional that #3 will be the perfect child!)
 
haha ya, right pt abt being thick skin..and on the pantang side, heard ppl saying best not to comment on other's kids, else own child will become the same! Ok, i rather to believe than not.
 
Hello all.. I've been MIA for a few days. MS getting quite bad.. Whatever I eat, I puke. Even drinking water make me sick

Any mummies got ways to control MS? I tried sour plums but doesn't work.. Sigh..
 
hi all, i just went to gynae today and he said he saw the sac and egg but no heartbeat. Im 5.5 weeks. So worried. Need to go back in ten days time to see if got heartbeat. if no, then mc already. please pray for me all christian mummies out there!

I counted from my menses date it's supposed to b 6 weeks. But doc says from the size Of the sac and bag it's only 5.5. Hopefully the embryo growing normally. This is my second.
 
Somemore he did the vaginal probe thingy still can't see the heartbeat. Pray I can see in 10 days. That time my first kid I had similar exp but she was even earlier. 6 weeks got heartbeat already

Liquideyes, I had same experience with #1. According to LMP I was like, 8 weeks or something. But at the scan, no heartbeat. Gynae said it could be the embryo stopped growing. I had to go back 2 more times before heartbeat was detected. Turned out at my first scan I was only 4 weeks. Using LMP not accurate - I must have had a late ovulation or whatever. If you use the online EDD calculators, they have you put in the length of your cycle as well. Counting from LMP, I am now 8 weeks, but according to online calcuator, I am 6 weeks only.

Now I look at my 7 year old son, I think back of that time when I was so worried, it's quite funny really.
 
I won the battle against the little boy! I snatched back my bag!!! I guess it's not easy for the mom who was handling another 2 kids

I'm 8 weeks today, bb is 17.7mm and heartbeat at 170. Good news!! Gynae asked me to go back in 4 weeks time to do nuchal translucency down's syndrome screening. Anyone heard of that before?
 
Mummies; I went on Thursday for my 1st checkup n told my gynae that I'm still partial breastfeeding my 30 month son

He told me to stop cos sucking by my son will decrease the size of the womb.. I believe what he say but to stop immediate is not possible.. I m trying to wean n pump at same time with onli 1 feed every 2 days

I c on the net that it is ok to feed while pregnant so I don't know y gynae say it's not gd.. Can anyone guide me??

Does pumping increase or decrease flow??

The test is not compulsory but most mum will go for it de.. I think it is also call Oscar scan ba.. Anyway it is to test whether the bb will bcome with defect (like retarded) when born.. Paiseh for lousy ang moh..

I'm trying hard to wean off my son. Wish me gd luck

since your son is 30 months old oredi and can eat more food now i think it's ok that you wean him off soon.

moreover, you are having bad MS and also not eating much stuff, i guess, formula milk should be more nutrious ..otherwise even one feed of fresh milk is also ok for 30 month during day time / snack time. i think now most importantly is for you to obtain more nutrient and for baby #2 to absorb more..

ask your hubby to bring him out to play and have some activities during the usual sucking time to distract him.. i think it is easier said than done.. all the best !!! mummies are the best!!
 
Kong kong I mean if no heartbeat means miscarry. Embryo stopped growing. And it's not good to bf when u are preg, u risk the health of the baby. He's 30 months already, sucking is just his habit. He doesn't need the bm anymore. I had problems weaning my number 1 too but just refuse a few times they will get it. Cannot refuse then give in ah!

Liquid eye: I hope u don't worry too much.. As rest of mummies comment, it mayb just too early to detect.. U should hv faith in urself.. U feel well right? If nothing happen, bb should b ok.. Don't think too much ok??

just went for scan and bb is 17.1mm now heartbeat also 170. I am still spotting so still consider danger zone but doc say bb size and hb is good so just cont the jabs and pills. He scheduled the next visit in 3 wks but I requested to see him in 2 wks lol as I have no symptoms so I told him I need to see the bb heartbeat to feel assured. Spent $440 in all today inclusive of 5 jabs supply. Having a bb is not cheap!!
 
Lil Olive, that's good news! But wah the jabs sure don't come cheap! Keep up the upbeat spirit!

Hello everybody... I am new here. I was referred to this forum by a friend yesterday. She mentioned there's a very lively conversation going on...

This is our first baby and my husband and I are quite kan cheong. I am one of the first among my girlfriends to be pregnant, so do not have much of a support network. Also, because I'm only 7 weeks pregnant, we have not announced to many people yet.

Hope to find like-minded folks in here who can share in our endeavours!

Lil Olive: You have spotting? I have spotting too... brownish discharge. Are yours brownish too? What jabs did the doctor give you, and are they for the spotting?

Have u seen a gynae?
If there is spotting, it is better to see a gynae soon so that gynae can prescribe hormones medication to stablise the pregnancy.

Ya man. PD is definitely more expensive than gynae.
The baby vaccination package is usually around $1k and then each visit is around $40+ without medication.
 
Joyce: yes dark brown spotting for 3 wks already. It's progesterone jabs I am on the max of 3 jabs a week. My blood test progesterone level is low and that could be one reason for spotting. Dr says can also be due to fibroid but he dies not want to do examination now so long as the embryo is growing. Try to walk/stand less. Do not carry heavy things or stretch. Basically rest as much as possible.

Lil Olive: Thanks for your reply. When I saw the doc in week 5.5 I only spotted once, doc said as long as it's not fresh bright red blood it should be ok.

Now I'm approaching week 8 and I'm still spotting brownish discharge on and off. Shall bring this up to my gynae when I see him coming week.

Fingers crossed everything is all right... :X

Kong kong: I get very tired at times too. Fatigue seems to be a common first trimester symptom. Try to rest even if can't sleep?
