Hi FL,

If bb hearbeats have been detected, then you should not worry too much.
It means a much higher chance of successful pregnancy.

I have 2 counts of spotting n have to go back to gynae 2x within a week.
Sac was noticed to b flat at week 5.

Gynae was not hopeful initially n took blood test to check my hcg level as I do not have MS.

But when my bb heartbeats were detected, he just asked me to come back for review 2 weeks ago.

So heartbeats n MS are good indications of good pregnancy!

Thanks for the advice.

Last wk gynae spotted the heartbeat in the screen but unable to hear the heartbeat. This could be due to the baby is still small. Next wk upon my checkup, i will request my gynae to let me hear the heartbeat once again. Hopefully i can be able to hear it.

Now it's time for me to let go of negative thought and be faithful to my baby, and also to get enough rest.

I only heard the heartbeats during my 3rd visit.
Hb was the one who told me he saw the little Beanie flickering on the screen during 2nd visit.
I thought he was just trying to console me.
Bear this in mind, stay strong for u n bb!
 
Hihi, hows everyine doing...

went for my first check up and 7 wks+ now..EDD ard 23 Nov...MS kicking in since last week...haiz...really scare to go thru another round of non stop vomitting...almost forgot how i feel when i had #1 but the vomitting reminds me of it now...

mrs chua: i just went to see Dr John Tee on Wed evening at TPS...quite okay with him though I was with Dr SF Loh for my #1 too...was considering going bk to TMC to see Dr Loh but still prefer KKH facilities etc...so decided to try out Dr John Tee...not as smiley as Dr Loh, quiet and reserved, but i think im ok with him too...think most prob will go with him this time round...though will really prefer Dr Loh (if only he's still with KKH)..haha...
 
just found out that Mt A's renovation is going to take more than a year to be fully completed... gosh! I was still wishing that it will be done before November

Hi all mummies!

Just went for the appointment at Dr Poon clinc and get to hear the bb heartbeat! Me & hubby are so excited! Didn't manage to get a picture of the bb cos not very clear but he let us hear the heartbeat like 3x and saw the the screen flickering!

Can't wait to see the bb again but got to be in early May. The next visit will be blood test, still thinking whether to go for the Oscar test..

Btw. amanpp can send me the file too? 1st time mummy not sure what to get..

Anyway enjoy the weekend and wish all mummies & babies happy & stable!

Me too, looking forward to it..

How much do they charge you for the OSCAR test?
they told me, it will take about 1 week to know the result...

Gynea say appt in 2 weeks time and he will do Oscar for me. I hear nurse say draw blood to send to lab. Just wondering why some of you have to go hospital to do, why not at your gynea's clinic .

So my edd is in early Dec. not Nov. Gynae mentioned that it seems that my cycle is really long.

thanks for the advise.

Seems like most of you have been doing a lot of scans... how much does the gynae charge for that?
I only went once, and the next visit is on week 9 only.
Read that some of you seems to be doing the scan every other week!
 
Oscar test cost abt $100+. Cos my gynae's clinic dun have the necessary equipment to scan thus needa go to hospital for the test.

Oil-olive, me also needa wait a few more weeks before doing the rest. I should be ard 7 weeks now only.
 
What's the procedure for Oscar?
I thought only blood test, why need equipment?
$100+ is very cheap!
I think my gynae charges $200+. My first scan was already $60 bucks. + all the vitamins and consultation fee all in all close to $300.
 
Mine was quoted 380 but I dunno what it covers maybe plus blood test and consultation, coz I do at gynae clinic also ..

I'm also at week 10 , hope MS will go away soon!!!

Won't see my baby till week 12! Argh!

So happy its weekend again.
Time to rest and relax!

I always thought the scanning we are doing now to see the beanie is ultrasound. So Oscars needs another type of ultrasound. Anyway, will know it in week 12! That's like another 5 weeks for me ;p

Btw, are there any interesting apps you are using for your smartphone?
I'm only using "what to expect during pregnancy" and babybump. which are actually similar apps.

I saw from the poster at Mt A, it says the reno at main lobby area is expected to be completed by mid 2012. I think once that is done, most of the congestion we see now should clear. What's left is the extension wings and multi-storey carpark (if i remember correctly).

Hello ladies, I am into my wk 8 and I have cfm my Gynae at tmc (Dr kc yeo).. I was having stomache cramp over last weekend, den was intro by my relatives to this Gynae.. I personally prefer dr yeo den dr khong at Kkh who seem rushed at times during my 2 visit w him. I was put on an Tai medicine, contd folic acid.. But I didn't take the multi vitamin pink pills becos it's too big to swallow for me.. Isit a must for me to take?
 
Liangmin, nope not necessary. I m also on an tai med n folic acid only. No other vitamins. I try to drink at least 1 glass of milk per day n lots of water during the day too.

Yesterday went back to gynae for scan again n finally I can see a fetus n an yolk sac.. But still can't detect heartbeat..

And my spotting nvr stops till now. I think now I just have to remain positive n keep talking to the fetus.. Hopes I can see or hear the heartbeat next week.

So happy that you n the other mommies can see n hear the baby's heartbeat now.

Great to hear from you again.

Did you let your Gynae know you are still spotting?
If he or she never raise any concern, just rest on bed n dont think too much.

Did he tell u how many weeks you are into?

If u read my previous post, I spotted twice.
2nd time right after the transvirgnal scan, but is light brown spotting which my Gynae told me is old blood discharge so don't b overly alarmed.

Tell your Gynae your condition and let him access to have a piece of mind.

I'm also in week 8 and Gynae only give me hormone pills n folic acid!
But for the sake of bb, just try to take the multivitamin if you can!

My gynae is aware I am still spotting. Thus he gave me another week of mc for bed rest, injection n hormone pills again.

He says that now have to monitor for heartbeat. He says that he must be able to see heartbeat by next week. Really pray hard.

Based in my LMP, I should be week 7. However, when he did a transvaginal scan, it only shows 6 weeks.

Am not having any MS too... But he didn't raise any concern not ask me to do blood test...

Hopes everything will turn out fine.

I'm new here .. was reading thru the thread and everyone seems to be all excited.

I'm 8 weeks pregnant ( Edd : 19 Nov) and MS sick has already kicked in, esp in morning and evening .. (the only part that i dislike and i cant wait for the 1st trimester to be over so that i can eat normally)

Hope everyone doing fine and our babies will be healthy and strong.
 
My ms is so bad that I always felt hungry but could not eat anything at all. Ytd morn ordered a plate of mee boon, are less than 1/3 den dinner a bowl of ramen, eat less than 3 mouthful den stop le

I went to gynae today, bb is 9 weeks at about 2.1cm long. Wow. It has grown 10x, only 0.2cm 2.5 weeks ago. Gynae also got me to go to Tmc for oscar's test, also no appt, gotta go in the morning to q. Anyone gg on the 4th may?

Hi All Mummies!

Did you all apply Ru Yi oil on your tummy when you are very bloated? I applied when the bloatness is too unbearable..any idea if its harmful?

Mine charged at 350$, my doctor clinic is at hospital so I had appointment to do OSCAR on 8th of May.

After that, they have explained the package to be taken as it will be 12th weeks.
The package will be $700 for scanning, consultation, multivitamin and calcium (for prenatal consultation only)

In that brochure mentioned about the detail scan that optional to be taken on 20-23 weeks, the cost is $222.
Another test is for AIDS, Rubella, Toxo test that is mandatory and charged for $100..

Today i went to see gynae, though the sac looks good but the size is not growing comparing to 10 days ago. This week am going to do D & C. Will try it again after few months later. I'm sure i will get another one by then

ru yi oil is ok for pregnancy. i asked my gynae already. tiger balm, axe oil etc are ok too. so far i find that tiger balm is good for me. u can try it too.
 
FL: jia you! i had a d&c five yrs ago in jan and i had positive news in march. which means bb made in feb. JIA YOU!!!

Luckily it is fine..hee..i always use axe oil if i find some smell unbearable.. Ru Yi Oil really helps to relieve my bloatedness!
 
FL - Understand how you r feeling right now.. me n my wife also our twins on 5 march 12.. did D&C the next day.. it had been 6 weeks since.. thinking back also made us so sad but time will heal all wounds.
 
piggiedearz & Cindy - yes, i heard that too. But is it good to make one right after d&c? I thought it's still having period and the body is weak?

Wayne - I'm kind of open hearted now as during the 3rd visit i had this news already but we still tried and maintain it, giving a chance to baby. But somehow it didnt make it. It's time to take away the pain and move on.
 
Fl: I didn't know.. Gynae did not advise us to wait a few months too! Haha. So we just tried and who knows, we striked. But that's a good qn, maybe u can ask your gynae!!

Last Wednesday went to the Gynae, everything was good, though i have been having cramps all the time. She said the fetus is about 5.5 weeks, so my EDD will be 9 Dec. I have a longer period cycle and thought it should have been 8 weeks by now...

Thurs evening had spotting at work, freaked me out. Thank god my boss was around to calm me to call the gynae.

Friday, went to gynae again to do a scan to see if everything is fine. She said my uterus was trying to push the sac out, and it's too early to tell if it's a good or bad pregnancy. the fetus did grew 3 times in size over the 3 days and we can finally see the heart and hear the heartbeats. EDD now changed to 6 Dec as fetus looked like 6 weeks old. She ordered a lab test, a jab and 1 week mc for me.

Hubby and I were so excited about the baby, though we weren't expecting it in the first place. I do hope we can keep it. I don't know if I can be as brave as FL.. Will be going back this friday to make sure it is growing still.

Have you went for any blood test to test your Hcg level before concluding to go for d&c?
Spotting n bad cramping so far?
I have 1 m/c before in Feb 2012 n I had d&c procedure when gynae concluded I was miscarrying then.
Gynae advised us to try after 3 mths n continued on folic acid faithfully.
I won't give up unless I got my hcg level tested and experienced cramping n bleeding.

I just came back from gynae cos I spotted again (3rd encounter so far). Guess due too much blowing of nose n coughing caused my womb to bleed.
Luckily bb is fine but bill was alarming,almost 600 bucks for cough medication n 2 jabs!
I went to Theresa women's clinic at amk as my regular gynae clinic is not open in the evening!
Heartpains but, most imply, both of us are fine!
On another week of MC, boss gonna kill me this time!!

i rem when i had my first child it was 6 weeks old when i first hear his heartbeat through the scan...then doc tel me hormone level low, have to eat pills and injection twice a week...i cried almost everyday worring about my baby...i heaved a big relief when i pass the first trimester smoothly..

so to all the first time mummies, keep a positive mindset, i talk to my baby cos i believe they can feel us even though they cant reali hear yet...few more weeks for some of u, hang in there!!

this is my last week of injection, cant wait to see the little one during my next week scan!

Bloatness, i use tiger balm .. sometimes it works well .

I been experiencing stomach pain today.I'm abit unsure if my stomach pain is due to gastric or bloatness? didnt really eat much coz vomitting my meals out.
 


Hi mummies

I had some brown discharge last night and I know there are still some "stuck" inside..i had some minor feeling around my lower abdominal..its kind of like between cramping or minor sharp pain..

I wonder if any of you experience these symptoms before?I'm very worried about it as I'm already in my 10 weeks..
