Went for my gynae appt yesterday, all's fine, and then gynae asked if I wanted to know gender. I said of cos! But at that moment my notti baby decided to cross legs! Before that baby's legs were wide open! I was thinking to myself maybe baby's a shy girl, but after a while, gynae said he spotted "something that doesn't look like part of the umbilical code"! So he concluded 70% boy. My first reaction was to look at my boy and tell him baby's not a Lola!! Cos we have been reading the storybooks Charlie & Lola, as part of my efforts to prepare him to be a good big brother (just like Charlie!) actually I was expecting to have a girl esp since my preg symptoms are so diff from last time, so the news was a bit of a shocker. But still, I couldn't help smiling as I walked out of the clinic room, cos I so adore little boys! [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]
And oh yes, I can do detailed scan next mth, so fast!! Thats like reaching the halfway mark, 20weeks!! Agh, can't wait for time to pass quickly, want to faster pop and see baby [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]
M&M,
The primary diff between Oscar and amnio is, one is non-invasive (and therefore zero risk to fetus) and one is invasive (the risk is very small though, esp under the hands of an experienced gynae).
