hi mummies,

For those who had went to the past baby festival fair, what can we expect from the fair?Is it more or less equivalent to Taka fair , only selling baby items? Or is there additional things like education programmes, talks, toys etc ..

Junebunny, i also have low lying placenta.. from my last scan which is 2 weeks ago, it still din move up. will be going from my next check this Sat. hoping it can move up though..

Altariel, mine is opp from urs. my baby head down liao, from the last scan, but placenta is still in the way. so not any better as well [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

Might be going to Expo during weekend. see if got any diapers promo anot..

= Rice Wine =

Hi, I have 10 bottles of rice wine left from my confinement and willing to let go at $10 per bottle (negotiable if buy all 10 bottles). Taste sweet and yellow colour.

Collect between redhill mrt to clementi mrt. If you are interested pls pm me or e-mail me at [email protected].

Christy, I am thinking of getting the Zojirushi Electrical pot from the BP as well.

Do you think 3L is enough? I'm looking at the CD-JUF30, $280. Any feedback on this?

If we are breastfeeding, do we still need to get vacuum flask to store hot water when going out?

Babynini> Elect pot comsume a lot of power le cause u one 24hr 7 days.. and its wasting energy. I use to have one and at the base of the pot u got to clean with lemon and viniger cause will stain the metal.

Personally the Zojirushi Airpots more power saving [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] friendly to your bill too [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] if you dun mind boiling water and poring into it. Plus I think more better to change water everyday instate of topping up water.

Home use.. after I ask mummy they recommend 2 to 2.5L. Depend u have a lot of pple at home or not.

Portable flask 0.5L one is good enough.

Ermmm... if you are fully BF than no need the portable flask unless u want one to stand by just in case there are times u cannot BF due to some reason and on the move.

Hi Mummies,

Just sharing, had my monthly scanning this morning at 26W1D. My girl girl is now 1kg, and I had gained 6kg so far. Her head is down south and my gynae said it is still too early for her to fix her position as there are still lotsa of room in the amnotic fluid for her to move around. She will only engaged in her final position at around 37 weeks he said...

Gynae gave me an all clear but I am told to return next week for blood samples and also to drink some stuffs for my glucose test after the blood samples test.

Dizziness & cold sweat - Yesterday I was on my way out to a factory in a cab and suddenly I experience dizziness, nausea and broke out in cold sweat! As I cannot imagine more than an hour in a cab in this state, I went home to rest instead. I asked my Gynae this morning and he said since my blood pressure is normal, he feels this is just my blood circulation only as sometimes preggy women has blood circulation problems and ask me not to worry as this is normal. Any of you mummies experience this lately?

Hmmm i have yet to receive my TMC Pre-natal course 'package''.

Just to check. first lesson we are supposed to wear something comfy cos got exercise lesson?

qiuen > is there a "package"? i only received a letter stating payment received and indicates the course dates & location. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Am starting my class this friday and i just got an sms confirmation/reminder this morning. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Mine is on Sunday 12.30 at AMK.

I have yet to recieve any mails (not even receipt) from them. Only SMS few weeks ago to say the date has been changed to 20th again.

Eh. There are different location on different dates?

qiuen > for class 1 to 5, it's at the same location. class 6 is the doctor talk at (if i remember correctly) singapore chinese girls' school.

maybe you wanna call them and check on the status? cos I did call them to check for receipt of payment when I haven't receive any news 3 days after sending out my cheque. who knows, the person in charge not around and coincidentally, i receive the letter in that evening. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

evvie > i went to my gynae yesterday too. Am at ~24weeks and the baby's head still up. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

haven't experienced any dizziness yet.. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

life is beautiful: i just called them last week. They mentioned that will resend it. Waiting....

If not, I tink i can get the schedule from them when i go for my class this sunday [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

life is beautiful: dont worry too much about the BB's position. I am in 25+, and when i asked gynae about it. She was like "Its still too early for you to be worrying about that. BB has plenty of space to move around now. She might in this position and 10 mins in another.'

Qiuen > I am not sure what kind of topics u will be having at yr pre-natal classes, the ones I had when TMC's Mrs Wong was here for last weekend, she likes to emphasis alot on baby massages even though the topics does not state massages or yoga, thus there was a lot of getting down on the mat work. For her pre-natal exercise class if your course includes any, you definitely need to be comfy pants so that you do not expose yourself on some poses. Here are the topics she had taught when she was here:

- How to Enhance Your Baby Brain Development with 4 Important Approaches

- Pre Natal Exercise and Complications Associated with Pregnancy

- Baby Massage & Yoga

- How to Calm and Sooth a Crying Baby

Life is beautiful > Dun stress yourself up. Yr baby will still move around from now till later part of 3rd trimester. My Gynae said even though my baby is in the right position now, she will still move around alot and change her position for the next 2-3 months woh. So nothing is fixed at this point. Maybe yr baby just happen to be heading up whenever you have your scanning? [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Hmmm talking about bb movement... today got surprise... I felt movement at just below the bra in between the my chest.... dun know what she doing inside... When I felt the movement I was like Ohhhh...

Ya..my gynae also told me now our amnotic acid still alot and baby can practically swim and roam inside so freely. During the scan..my girl moves...my gynae ask me if i can feel it?? i told her not at all leh...i seldom felt her much. She say is normal as the fluid cushion the kick impact so i might not feel it everytime she moves...unless she kick really hard! My baby head is still on top too...not at the bottom...my last scan at Wk 24. Lets all relax and stay positive..and keep telling our baby to be quai to head down when the time is ripe k? Hehe

Christy..i am opposite from you leh...i always felt the movement at the bottom...i assume is her legs?? cos if her head is up...her legs shld be down??haha..dunno leh.

Vic> Hahah the last scan my girl is laying on her back and her head is on my right side (seeing my my navel) than legs on the left... haha most of the time this position.

But she like to lift up her hands most of the time when I see her from the scan if not she will be scratching her head LOL funny

christy / vic > same here, today i felt alot of movements. other days not so much. becos baby's leg is at the bottom, i felt the kicks at the bottom. i reckon that could be due to me seating and leaning towards my PC/table, so he no space then I felt the kicks. when i lean back and moved my laptop nearer to the edge and do my work, then i felt less or no kicks liao... maybe he protesting that i am squeezing him... hehe.

actually i'm abit worried cos my stomach quite small. saw the pics of the gathering you all had in FB and most mommies the stomach so big liao. i scared my baby don't have space to turn.. :x

same here beautifulmom, I am usually at the com and I will feel lot of kick and movement at the bottom tummy area with the same feeling that I am like squeezing my baby too much. anyway I read up around, it is ok that the baby is not upside down now cos it is still early. i m into week 29 now btw and baby is upright. but i heard from a colleague that her baby only turn on the day of the labour so i guess let us not worry too much.

Hi mummies

I no longer latch my bb and hence do not need my Breastfeeding pillow anymore. It is still very new. I still have the original packaging. Pls email me at [email protected] if you are keen. Thanks [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

maybe im checking taka fair this weekend... looks like the crowd 'died down'already lol my friend MMS me the pix today, not much people. Cuz im not comfortable in the big crowd lah...

Btw anyone buying baby bjorn baby carrier? Hubby wan one lol but kinda ex hor...

claire > it is less crowded on weekdays i guess. went yesterday afternoon after my checkup and no so crowded le... not sure how will the crowd be during weekend though...

justa rant... took bus back home just now. On one of the journey, i was standing, no one offered a seat and worst, i realised there is a lot of people using their eye power looking at me & my stomach but no action! [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

life is beautiful > to be honest, most of the time I didnt get a seat also (i took bus in daily basis). Maybe cuz i take bus during rush hour.

But talking about that, yesterday this young guy pushed me (he was rushing to get out) and my stomach hit the pole (i was standing, as usual) think i went a bit drama and screamed lol whole bus look at him siar lol teach him a lesson lol

Claire gd job! Haha I oso notice peak hr n morn evyone luv their seat to honest it's tiring to std at that timing so evyone hoping others will give seat to needy nt themselves

Claire> My hub wanted a bb carrier and he say good good.. than after looking at other pple carrying their bb, he dun want liao.

I check out w my friend he say stroller better than carrier cause carrier quite hot for bb and not much body movement.... so he say stroller better. Now we KIV stroller, after deliver than buy not now... maybe we can tahan than also no need to buy hahah I dun know we will see ba [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Cause in our family we train kids to walk by themselves once know how to walk...

Braun Thermometer & Desitin Creamy> Already place order and paid last night to organiser.

Both item I have opt to deliver via courier to my place in 1 go (more cost saving to all of us). Those mummie need their item urgently do let me know so I can check back w the organiser. Thanks.

Morning ladies,

I saw the whole page of promotions for the upcoming BABYCARE FESTIVAl @ EXPO listed in TODAY newspapers today. Do go check it out and see if anything interest you! [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

claire > me too. I take bus home every evening if my hubby is not free to pick me up. actually i don't expect people to give up seats to me but at the least, they don't have to look at me like i'm some freak and i have to avoid looking into their directions... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

hm... i'm not sure but i do meet nice people who give up their seats to me but you must stand in front of them for them to be "auto". but i try not to, unless i'm very tired cos like that abit paiseh...

yesterday, i was really hoping for someone to give their seat to me cos my legs are really tired. Though I didn't experience any dizziness, my shin area on my right leg was in such pain i couldn't bear to put weight on that leg. I was so afraid i would get leg cramps while standing. then back home at night, i got cramps while sleeping. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif] I guess i must have over-"walked". :x

Everyday I hv to stand 30 mins at least to n fro in the train n I nvr meet kind soul to give up their seat; so I learn to ask for those sitting at reserved seat to give up their seat for me when I'm giddy as the cabin is too crowded and people push around;(

wa. fen, u ask them to give up seat wor? Brave! Sometimes, those older middle age man or construction workers just hog on the priority seat. Cant stand them.

I will pretend to step on them or keep using my bag to knock into them. So their ride is not peaceful afterall..haha. evil
