carol, not true.... the medicine they give are for relieve of symptons. the baby will still have to "fight" the infection. unless the doc prescribed antibiotics. typically, docs refrain from prescribing antibiotics for infants for such young age so that they can build their imunity to fight infection, unless its serious that the "benefits" outweighs the con.



for cough in children, its not like us adults which we usually jus brush it off. for young children, particularly infants, the doc are looking out for congestion, phlegm, lungs not clear, leading to difficulty in breathing,etc. Why do they cough? it's simply because, the breathing tubes are "blocked". so if coughing for so many days, definitely is something you want have a doc look over and at least check that the lungs are clear.



during both my #1 and #2 times, when they start coughing quite seriously, the doc will even give me admission letter to hospital in case it turns worse in the mdidle of the nite. i am just ultra careful when they are <1yr old.

I agree with Pillow. Maybe becos I m a first time mum so I more cautious, if coughing a few days I will bring my bb to doctor to check. Just to make sure everything is alright I feel more fang xin also.

Hey girls.. quite curious... wanna check how do you determine how old your BB is.. my BB is now 16 weeks.. so should I say he is 4mths old now or 3 mths plus cos he is born on 25 June and 25 Oct is still a week plus away.

hi mummies,



i'm from augmtb, just to check anyone of u hav experience of changing fm brand for ur bb? I'm first time mum, dunno wat to expect when change but seems my bb not so happy these few days since the day i change. I mix half half both the fm for each feed.

 
Hi cl. Can u tell me how long have u been mixing e fm and what two fms are u using? Usually there are two ways to go about it? One is by volume which is shat u r doing n the other by feeding schedule.

 
Pillow: Haha!! cos sometime when pple ask, i told them 3mths plus.. 16 weeks like that.. they will ask me then isn' he 4 mths now? I also dunno how to answer. Haha!!

then just stick to months lor. hahaha. when you say weeks, you'll just confuse them - ppl will auto divide by 4. LOL



anyway, when buying clothes, you don't see sizes in weeks, right? hehehe

Baby bags : mummies using Kate spade baby bags, is it really usefull cos I thinking if I shld splurge on one or shld I just buy a bag organizer n put it in my big bag.

 
Chalet - Dec is school holiday + weekend, usually they require 2 nights stay... (for NSRCC, NTUC's, Aloha's, Goldkist).



Think condo's club house would be better off... if any mummy can volunteer to book...

 
My aunt live in Rosewood Condo in woodlands.. My cousin say she will help me check function room availability and let me know tomorrow.

 
Eliss, I can book the function room of my condo, no problem. We can also use the bbq pit which is just next to the function room. So that can be the back up plan if chalet is fully booked.

Kissing of bb

Do you allow pple to kiss your bb? my MIL always kisses my bb which I have reminded her many times not to.She always kisses his face, hand, etc. Find it super annoying/ dirty of her. Luckily my FIL is more sane than her. If not double irritants.

 
charliebrown: I am using the sling... not pouch... very good to use... my bb like it alot too ... maybe it's very nice to be cuddle ...



the pouch got 1 mommy here using but not MIM brand... it's the same pouch but of another brand... design very nice ! hahaha
