picotin & cincin, sorry to hear that. Pls take gd care of urself. By the way i heard that you shld do a mini confinement as if u have just given birth. After that u will be stronger and able to be pregnant soon. Hope that u both will join the mummies soon!

Sweetkiss: I am planning to buy Clarins anti stretch mark, same as Rabbit.

Sun tan: I also not too sure when is the appropriate time to apply the cream. Maybe my next visit I check with my gynae.

Kat: Check with your gynae to see if your discharge is ok. Try to rest more too.

Good nite ladies!!

Picotin and Cin Cin, sorry abt your loss. pls take care and rest well even though you have a D&C. do a mini confinement to get your health back. I heard its important too.

Sweetkiss: for stretchmark cream, I only started using it when I was having my 1st baby at 4th month when my tummy showed. I used Mustela Cream and its really v good. I did not have a single stretchmark after delivery, even the gynae was praising during the c-section! I would probably be using that again [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] though it can be quite ex, i get it from Taka baby section. Some Guardian pharmacies do not carry it.

I on the other hand love to drink water now. I stopped drinking soft drinks as i find them too sweet, but i think drinking cold drinks is fine. I drank alot during my 1st pregnancy too. So if you have cravings, just go for it, dun worry too much.

Picotin & cin cin, sorry to hear that.. pls take care of yourselves n rest well.

Morning mummies, anyone feeling pain at yr lower abdominal when carrying heavy items? Last night I felt pain when I was carrying my no.1 she weighs abt 10kg. She was crawling to me, n when I carried her I felt pressure acting to me womb. Anyone experiencing the same?

Thanks to all the mummies for your well wishes. Minibean - I did not have a d+c, just took some medicine which helped get the bleeding started. Just one day of medium to heavy bleeding and now very light flow, a bit like spotting.

Will be starting a mini-confinement with confinement foods from Natal Essentials for 5 days. Taking pre-natal vitamins too!

I expect to conceive again shortly. So far with both pregnancies, HB and I struck the lottery on our first cycles of trying so we have been very lucky. Only thing is with #2, we struck the booby prize! [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Take good care, everyone - enjoy your pregnancies. They are blessings to be cherished and enjoyed!

thanks mommies for your concern n well wishes.

going to see my own gynae for a review next week. will try to have mini confinement with my mom's soup..

take care and hugs to all...

Hi ladies.

Hi all, I am new to this thread, I am in my 9th week now.

Picotin and cincn,

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I have had a miscarriage in June this year, a biochemical pregnancy. Thought I could move on after that, but was found to have ovarian tumour (which resulted in insufficient hormones for my baby), so had to have one ovary removed, luckily it was benign. I was so afraid that I will have difficulties conceiving with just one ovary, and well, I am now preggie with my #2 (my #1 is turning 4 years old next yr) after 2 months of trying. So stay positive and you ladies will conceive again very soon.

bb_gen

same thing, i do hv some pain when carrying my first born who is the same weight as urs... but after a while, the achey feeling gone liao...

Hi Picotin & cin cin,

Sorry to help the loss. Both of you have to take good care ya. Your message reminded me last yr which I also said bye bye to all mummies.

I also have anembryonic pregnancy.

Like what Lyn said, both of you should have a mini confinement. Drink red date water and eat confinement food. If can, go tcm to nourish your body.

No worries, you will soon be pregnant again in 3-6 mths later. For d/c, at least 6 mths rest.

Take care ladies.

Hi Autumn, thanks for sharing that awesome story with us - so happy for you, that ovary sure is powerful!

Hi Mich, thanks for your message. Sorry to hear you had an anembryonic preg as well, can I ask how long it took you to conceive again? My gynae says no need to wait 3-6 months, he says we can try again in our first cycle after AF. Been reading that some get preggers even before the first AF so who knows? That may be us!

BTW everyone, I am enjoying my confinement food by Natal Essentials. Can consider them when you deliver!

Enjoy the week ahead...

Hello all, Im new here...this is my #1, EDD 21st july. Very nervous...planned to try for baby in europe this dec, ended up tested positive on 21st Nov @ 5 weeks 3 days. Still planning to go Europe this Thursday...anymore has travelled before on their first trimester?

Hey girls.

How is everyone today? Groomy day in the north area.

Been so tired lately that I hardly come in to the forum to contribute anything or ask how all of you are feeling.

Tomorrow going for my 2nd scan. Excited and scared at the same time. I pray that everything will turn out fine.

Was feeling so bored on Saturday as I had to stay home most of the time to rest cause I feel tired easily. Hubby brought me to kiddy palace at causeway point to look at BB things to cheer me up.

I never knew a baby cot or a baby stroller or baby car seat could be so expensive. I am thinking that maybe baby cot or baby stroller i might look at 2nd hand ones. But baby car seat i definitely will buy new one cause of safety issue.

My neighbour also very good... she say she will contribute most of the baby stuff to me next year since her baby would not be using them next year. She just gave birth in Jan this year. So kind of her. I told her if she decided to go for a 3rd child, I will transfer the things back to her. haha!!

Anyone been to see baby stuff yet?

Hi ecym,

Thanks for adding me into the table. Btw, this is my 1st pregnancy.

Ladies,

Would appreciate any comments on Raffles Hospital. My gynae does not practise in RH but delivers there and I'm quite interested in using RH for my delivery. Does anyone of you have any idea how much they charge just for delivery alone? Thanks in advance

Springleaf,

Thanks. Have made apptm for tonight. Wish me luck [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Springleaf,

Err, how do i check for PM msgs? I didnt receive any notification via email. But have called the 64xxxx number to make apptm with Dr Yam.

Hi sun_tan,

The pm should go directly to your email inbox. Anyway, I said wrongly just now. Because your email address was reflected in your pm to me, I had used it to send an email to you, so I didn't really pm you just now. Sorry for the confusion.

I'll resend it since you said you didn't receive. And good luck for your 1st appointment with Dr Yam!

Hi Ann,

Went to Dr Fong on Sat and he told me too early to scan.. only did a blood test.. .. then give me protestrone tablets and 3 days MC to rest at home... he ordered another blood test today as well.. then this afternoon e clinic called and say Dr Fong say need to scan.. I'm going down tml.. Seems like I'm going down to his clinic super often.

ecym: thanks for updating! Maybe we can sort accordingly to EDD dates. its easier this way [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Ann: yeah getting a baby is not cheap [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] I spent so much when having my first one but luckily the age difference between my 1st one and this 2nd one is about 25 months, so still can use the same maternity wear, baby cot, baby pram etc. otherwise will faint if have to buy the same thing again.

Sharmaine: I travelled to HK during my first trimester when I was 7 weeks for my first child without realising I was pregnant! It should be fine but just take care and make sure your gynae's contact no is always available with u just in case you need to call back.

btw picotin, how's the food at natal essentials? Is it oily, big portion etc? Tasty? I'm wondering if its better to get confinement food catering and do away with the CL.

Picotin & cin cin,

So sorry to hear about your loss... Hope all will be well for you and both of you get preggie again soon [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] Baby dust to you [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Morning sickness

Think my morning sickness is slowly subsiding. Though puke and puke, stil managed to put on 1 kg in 2 weeks. Argg... now really want to control weight gain coz I haven't lose the weight gain for #1 yet! So scared that I'll balloon even more.

Anti-stretch mark cream

I used Clarins toning oil. Used about 2 bottles for my #1 pregnancy. No stretch marks on tummy area [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] Only regrets didn't apply on bum bum so bum bum got stretch marks.

hi all..

i have a question... today morning when i went to toilet i saw a peanut size white discharge or mucus(i really dont know what it is) in the toilet bowl... I am going for a scan tomo but am really very very worried... please tell me is this normal?

Thanks

Hi Ritu Chandak,

The white discharge is normal. I have them too. This is due to the surge of estrogen in our pregnant bodies which causes the mucus glands to be more active. As long as you don't see any traces of blood in the discharge, it's definitely OK.

Hi everyone,

I've just confirmed my pregancy. This is my #2 after a miscarriage Mar this year.

This pregnancy has been pretty dramatic and draining. I took my H1N1 vaccine shot in preparation of a biz trip. I was made to do a preg test since the vaccine has not been tested on preggies in the 1st trimester. My test was negative then. One week later and a day before my trip, I discovered I was pregnant. The trip to the gynae next day was not settling, as we couldn't find the sac. Together with my 'record', my gynae advice me to cancel the trip instead. So there was I scrambling around making the cancellations and arrangements back in office just a couple of hours before my flight.

Luckily the scan last sat came out fine, everything's in place and we heard the heartbeat, what a relief!

Picotin & CinCin, sorry to hear about your loss. I can empathise with you. *Big Hug* Its ok to cry, grief is like a debt, we just have to get it over and be done with. But importantly, do not lose hope. Hope you will be blessed with baby soon [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Noknok, congras [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] wah got MC so good! Hee..

Springleaf,

Didnt manage to make it for the apptm due to last min meeting with my boss which made me stayed in office till 830pm (my apptm was 830pm..duhz..) By the time i rushed down, its almost 9pm le. Since Dr Yam didnt have any more patient, the left the clinic early. Have made another apptm tonight. Hopefully alls well [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]
