Congrats! Next step, wait for the strong kicks from your baby boy! Finally got my report from the hospital and anyhow picked a gynae from the yellow pages. Appt is on mon! Hopefully she is not the stingy type and scan for me for free!

haha... i don't like milk but i try to like when i take it. LOL! I take the strawberry milk with cereals.. i take chocolate milk as individual..

Most of you no more MS.. i still have some.. wawawawa... tomorrow will be wk14 already... hmm.. sometimes my tummy become hard hard.. sometimes ok.. how come ah? At times my lower back super aching too... end up cannot sleep well... ):

i try liao le.. still a little aching leh... i actually sleep in a straight direction, end up i flip & turn until i sleep diagonally.... haha... middle of night i wake up to pee, i even sit on my hubby lor... -.-" end up frighten him thought what happen... LOL!

wahahah.... if i sleep alone on the big bed, i can sleep and change 180 degrees... wahahahaha! LOL! but many times i wake up i will either step on my hubby or sit on him.. whahahaaaaa
i think my uterus expanding so its a little uncomfortable....

I have to wait til 16 Apr 20 wks scan to hopefully find out the gender. Gynae already says the smaller babylet is likely to be a girl. But bigger one refused to let us see b/w the legs.
Btw you mentioned next is FA scan. What does FA stand for?

YTD is realy scary. My hubby say my lower back VEIN ALL SHOW OUT.. see how hard I push.. now my lower back still very sore and my anal too
I duno am I ready for epidural, the needle and afraid its might hurt my other nerve. My lower back hav degenerative disc and the disc burge and touch some of my nerve, and occasional I will get real backache. So im unsure about epidural.

why dun take medicine, den how to recover. The sooner u recover u less suffer mah. U suffer bb oso struggle leh. Like flu, u can breath much, its will affect bb oxygen anot?

its good tat u still able to keep the milk down u noe. For me b4 preggie, im love milk so much but after preggie.my body reject. whenever i drink milk immediately i wil vomit ☹

My whole body is super tired and painful, tired but cant sleep kind. Very restless and stressful
So I tot of soaking myself in hot tub water/jazzcuzi, can we ?

my younger twin caught up with the kor kor's weight when he was 5 mths old. in fact he looked chubbier then. after that they always had almost equal weight all these while till recently the older twin kept putting on weight ever since started p1! now they r 10kg apart can u believe it??
i will try upload their pics when im free. cos the photos are all in my other lappie.

i think u cant soak in hot tub leh. i read somewhere that hot water of abt 38 deg is not good for foetus development so u shld know that sauna is out too. but im not sure abt jacuzzi i guess if a while no harm lah. i know how relaxing it is to have hot bath esp when ur body is aching. maybe u use warm water and not too hot?
wow ur constipation sounds bad hor. dun eat bananas will make it worst. try papaya an yes, prune juice. but i dislike prune juice myself. if not try fybogel.

flower.. dun use hot tub, jacuzzi and steam bath.. pregnant lady cannot use all this okie.. if u really want.. go find some places where they specialize in massage for pregnant lady.. I know rustic nivana( think wrong spelling ) have.. but last time i asked they recommend do after 5 months.. u can call and ask again.
din take medi cos i remm someone did mention for flu, can only take one ytpe of medi starting w 'T' something? but my GP gave me the normal type tt i ate last time so i rather just drink more hot water n rest..

I asked gynae abt this tdy. She said that can go in but only for a while. Basically use own body as a gauge.. if feel unwell, like wanna faint, come out immed. Roughly the temp shd be ard 37degC only b/c that's the temp BB is at in our body, so that shdn't cause much harm. But not hotter than that.

I see, so the FA scan refers to detailed scan. That means my detailed scan will be done at my next appt on 16 Apr @20 weeks. Need to wait, wait wait again.
But in a way our appts are like milestones... with each appt means we're in the next mth and so on.

Now so exciting everyone finding out each others' baby gender. We're all graduating from 1st tri together.
Btw your constipation sounds really bad, especially the part about the veins showing out on your lower back!
Actually, before pregnancy I also have a bad back. So I'm really wondering what's in store for me with respect to backache later in this pregnancy. Please don't let our backaches tekan us badly, please let it be bearable.
I'm also wondering about the use of epidural. Cos heard so many people say that using epidural will cause us to have backaches later in life, not sure how true that is.

Epidural - not sure but one of my lecturer whom was experience nurse did mention that epidural if possible avoid it as it gives more cons then pros.
There isn't proved that epidural causes backache but generally the side effects are more..
Like most of my frens having epidural do complain of backaches but i din use any also have back aches many factors add in would cause diff effect..
Recent case one fren given birth with epidural, she had fever, shivering and need vaccum to pull the bb out as she can't push it out. The only best part is she dun feel pain.. but she had these side effects giddy etc...
But no all pple will have got to weight ur own..

Yup, I agree totally. Every appt, there's something to look forward to. My first was to test for heartbeat, 2nd was kena spoting, 3rd to check everything ok, 4th was OSCAR & end of first tri, now it's finding out gender. But hor, I think after 5th mth, nothing much to look forward to, except growth & making sure Babylet din tangle itself etc liao. More focus on safety & devt & coming to birth lor.
Hmm.. I have mixed feeling. Being a gal, I wud want a gals so I can connect better. With a boy, I feel a bit insecure coz I dun really know how to dress him, what games o play etc. I may look spory but I v weak & sissy one haha.
But, being Chinese, & HB's sister has 2 daughters, having a son will def take the press off me. I can have 10 daughters after this w/o a care liao, u know what I mean?
Anyway, end of the day, healthy is the most impt thing.

Think don't know if i m juz plain lucky or what, epidural definitely is more of the pros than cons to me. For my 3 deliveries, all on epidural. Bt i'll make sure that adequate amount of anaesthesia is admininster to the spine so that it will take away a lot of the pain bt on the other hand im nt totally numb so that i can still feel the contraction. feeling of the contraction is impt coz when the contraction came, we can use own strength to push out the bb. (cannnot suka suka push out bb de, can only try after we felt the contraction). so for me, no vacuum needed. BB's head turn out nice unlike with the usage of vacuum or forcep.
use of epidural make us 'paralyzed' on the lower half of the body. bt after the numbness wear off, im already walking around....

Hi... me new to this post. Now 14 weeks, went for OSCAR last week, and i was more concerned that baby was normal, didn't ask radiologist if it was boy or girl. Turned out normal and I was happy.
Actually doesn't matter much to me, i have a boy (5) and girl (3) already. Some days i wish for a boy, and some days for a girl.
I drank chicken essence this morning, the one with codyceps ... i take it about once a week. Cordyceps is not 'dang gui' right ... i think its 'dong cong cao' right? Just like to confirm.

cordyceps is dong cong cao, u r right..I sometime drank essence of chk with cordyceps too and sometime juz plain essence of chk or sometime with wolfberries ones (fr EYS). I luv to try on many brands and variety. I drank 2-3x per wk since 6/7wks onwards. Im exactly 15wks 2day

hmm...coz i try to bear with the pain lor...if cannot tahan oredi then ask nurse administer bit by bit...I will make sure i can still feel the contraction. can tell the anaesthetic doctor don't administered too much at 1st mah. after that when required, get nurse to add on can liao...

i had some side effects from my epidural too. didnt have MS during pregnancy, but puked non stop after i had epidural. also had an extremely bad headache throughout the first night after i gave birth. the next day, was normal already. could walk and pee and bathe on my own at the hospital.
