15mth then take MMR & chicken pox bah..but i still thinking if shd let my gal take chicken pox jab? i tot it's better for them to get it cos even wif the jab it's not 100%.

so ur boy can show which is red? i was told even when baby is asleep u can read to them, that is when their brain is the alpha beta mode. they absorb even more, as it go to the sub conscious mind.

errrhmm... but hor.. i tink it wun be saving them pain.. the number of jabs will still be same? but save them frm going to the clinic 2 times, scared 2 times, *touch wood* but in case.. fever 2 times, oh..n prolly save my consultation fee 2 times (do they charge consultation fee? i duno..if doing review..they sure will be rite?)
 
fatbobo, ya can save on consultation. But if take 3 jabs tog higher chance to develop fever? heard the MMR vy strong de le..

So far jovia take well wif 6-in-1 & prevenar..jz mild fever below 38 on the 1st day.

fatbobo, my PD dun charge consultation for taking jab but their jab is more ex so is more to include in their jab instead of charging separately.

all along, i nvr gvn them any barley or watever herbs tingy to cool down. but i juz bought some barley last nite.. tinking of boiling sm to let them try? (since nw bigger liao)
prolly couple of days before wana go for the jab, will let them take sm oso bah.

fatbobo and donkeymami, thanks. I called my PD again and asked the nurse to check my girl record n tell me what injection is left. I didnt know each baby has different injection scedule. My girl has finished all injections except MMR+chickenpox(one jab together) which can be taken withn 12 month to 18 month. This means I can join the Baby Junior Race on 21 Aug 2010!!! Dont know if still can join or not, wuwuwu....
 
MMR Jab
i was told by the polyclinic nurse to prepare for MMR jab hv to let baby eat egg yolk. ensure no allergy after MMR jab. so his next jab appt in Nov.
 
Growing Up Gifted Trial Class Programme @ Mountbatten

Any mummies interested to go for 50% off on trial lesson usual charge at S$50 after discount S$25. The promotion suppose to end in August. But they not sure if the mgt will extend it. So they give me the date on 29 Aug 2010.

that was the first time they tasted egg.. n i gave both yolk n white.. quite abit lor!

i oni give egg yolk mee sua and egg yolk mixed with fish,rice, and soup. dare not use egg white. i give edric egg yolk since he is 10 mths old too.

sometimes my boy "guess" correctly haha but doubt he can really very sure about the color now. :p

I read to my #1 during bedtimes, for my #2 I only read to him during day/evening time to catch his focus. :p

must eat egg yolk ONLY? my boy started to eat chawanmushi sometimes ago now is his favorite, can consider pass?

I thot now got latest jab can combine MMR + ckn pox so will be 1 jab then plus 1 prevenar will be total of 2 jabs, right?

oh yes my boy took the rotavirus too, haiya we very kiasu, whatever jabs/oral medicine for prevention we just whack haha..

yes of coz sure double pain but at least 1 time go thru it else they have to keep visiting the clinic for injection both of us will suffer :p
 
I was told that pneumococcal vaccine are coming with more strains. so my PD ask me to wait 1-2 months for the new stock.
chicken pox is anytime after 12 mths, MMR after 15mths. My PD also suggest dont the jab that is MMR + chicken pox one

BTW, I dont intend to let my boy go for MMR so soon. there are some controversy reports which mentioned that MMR vaccine can cause autism. Though there is no strong evidence, some PD even mentioned that totally not true but still I will not let my boy take MMR until much later.

When my sister had #1, she really go by the book and never miss a single day for vacination. My nephew took MMR on the dot and not long after, he was dignosed with autism! Dont know if it is linked, but she is so upset that her #2 have not had MMR.
 
wah tokin abt jab i haven even bott my boi for his last prevenar jab manz... but after seein kiki post maybe wait first haha...
btw for autism i heard usu we will only discover when they r 18mth onwards.. cos my ex manager son also autism i ask him how he discover he told me when he ard 18mth they call him he alway no response tt how they suspect 1...

Hmmm... I took MMR in US and I saw the babies in US took MMR too. It has been a practice for a long long time. I was told studies find no link between MMR and autism. Hmmm... but still sound scary!
 
The newspaper had an article on this link between the vaccine & autism recently.

Apparently, the doctor who 'found' and published this finding was banned from practising becos the way he conducted the study was unethical. Several other researches and studies have been done after this but found no link between autism & the vaccine.

Dunno who to believe siah ....
 
re jabs: Shayna went for her Hep A last week. Dr says dont combine MMR, chicken pox together. MMR already 3 'virus' strains. then add in chicken pox some more.. then if pneumoccocal jab even worse...

they may suffer less by getting the jabs at once but imagine the effects of the virus!

But i worried about shayna getting chicken pox jab. dunno if will have mild outbreak. i worry cos i never kena chicken pox b4! and if i kena, i worry for my clients that i work with!

re mmr: that study was not properly done. the population wasnt selected properly.

And we all had MMR, how many of us here have ASD?

I'll let shayna go for mmr cos at this stage in life, measles, mumps and rubella is dangerous for them. probablility of catching MMR than developing autism is higher and more dangerous...

the guy who did the study was banned from practicing.. think he was jailed too.

i was just looking through facebook of videos of our babies..

so sweet to see videos of them when they were younger.. to see them from being a helpless young bb, to what they are now! happy and cheeky!

bobo: i especially loved seeing the videos of keona and mattea.... what is so attractive about keona's fingers that mattea likes!? does she still go for her sister's fingers? hahah..

i was told tat dun give baby egg white too early, egg yolk first then after MMR jab @ 15 months the start egg white. so far i did not give him egg white.

sound scary leh, but how long to delay. MMR jab tink is for measles, mumps and Rubella virus vaccine, thought is normal kind of vaccine, how it cause autism,,,aiyo..

its controversy about the linkage between mmr and autism. Some believe, some dont.
When my nephew was younger, he can smile and look directly into camera (Even got to shoot some ads) but slowly we noticed that he avoid eye contact. Fortunately its mild.
