(2009/08) August 2009 MTBs

i havent started my boy on chicken leh...
so far all the meat he took is cooked in the stock, didnt really feed him the meat. ~lazy~

Fat Bobo : the 4 to 6 hour thing is instructed by doc. the doc say if high fever can feed every 4 hour else its 6. Its the normal pink fever medication.

Cooking Meat
I blend the meat and cook together with the rice in the slow cooker... if you worried bb dun like the texture, you can minced a bit more till very nua... So far my gal tried chicken and pork... I will add some veg like corn or brocoli to make it a complete dish

but now i dun give chicken yet ...cos bb still prone to cough/flu etc...
and the oldies said no chicken when u cough...
so i dun buy chicken meat yet...

I think most will go with 11am - 5pm. In that case, just take out my name as i won't be able to make it liao. By the time i arrive, it'll be abt 4pm liao

cooking meat
If i'm feeding pork, i just get lean meat & get the butcher to mince. Then blanche it in hot water and add to porridge when it's done. For chicken i also buy breast meat. But i dun blend lah .. just chop finely & throw into the porridge.
 
i give my gal chicken / pork / fish as a base for my gal..
Just throw chicken/pork / fish + vege +rice into slow cooker.When done will gv eat all but not e meat.

re hen or cock: my mother lah, wouldnt allow me to buy from NTUC cos she say u wouldnt know if its from female or male chicken.. She goes to wet market and ask for hen..

I dunno what her theory but she says she did this for my bro and i.

I asked my mum, if the seller in the market want to tell u its female chicken but its male, she also wouldnt know what..

I asked my PD about meat stock vs meat... he says if baby acn take the meat thn give the meat along with the stock.. And at this stage, because the babies are growing and their organs are developing they will need more iron and protein at this point in time..

I'd love to attend the bash but my pt-helper has her schedule also, hard to change time/date cos other pple she works for dun want to change ... hv tried once last time.

chicken meat, i normally buy the chicken fillet not the breast meat, i was told tat portion of meat is better, on every chicken there is oni 2 such type woh! so if go market i dunno how to tell them. so i go ntuc buy.
 
i'm using the chicken/ pork that comes with bone, then i feel after cooking in e slow cooker for so long e meat also no more taste liao not nice liao. i think not necessary to eat e meat ba.

erm... if dun eat meat how to get iron, protein etc... unless u givin sufficient cereal la... or u can set aside some meat n add when the porridge is almost ready?

If you buy the whole breast with bone, the fillet meat is there. Just has to remove it. Over here the fillet comes together with the breastmeat.
 
April, I only put in my meat when everything is cooked so it is not tough. Same goes to beef and pork. If minced, I will add in boiled hot water to disintegrate the minced meat 1st before putting into the food.
 
Just finished cooking and both my boys are playing trains together. Nice to see them interact with each other.

Eating Curry Vegetables. Salmon and Fishballs soup with button mushrooms. And fried eggs. Ray having salmon, egg yolk and vegetables with rice.
 
last time when I had chicken pox and during confinement, my mom also buy hen to cook for me.
She can tell if the market seller give her the hen or cock de leh. (she say just see the butt area wor!??!!!)

April, haahaa, I was cooking and then reading emails while both boys played together. Now both with the dad saying worship songs in the room.

I am praying if God is willing, give me a 3rd healthy and lovely baby girl.
 
Michelle I'm also bfing I jus find a cafe sit down n nurse. There was once I jus sit at a corner of the shoppin centre n nurse my boy. So far not much Issues in hk and I understand tw shld ok cos it was in the news that encourage nursin mum to do so
 
michelle, I was able to nurse Kai in M'sia, Indonesia, HK, Canada with no issues. Now in Australia, I can bfding freely too anywhere and I bfd during walks, shopping etc.
